I was in a tiny guild of friends back in the day. There were 6 of us but we never grew because whenever we spent time gearing a new member they would get the gear and then leave for a bigger guild. When BC came out we had enough people to do heroics but not enough to do Karazhan or anything bigger. The one person in our guild (whoever logged on last in the day) would end up having to join strangers to do his heroics and get badges. He became close to this other tiny, close-knit guild of about 8 people. Both guilds got to know one another over several weeks as we would lend/borrow members for various things, and eventually we merged into one guild for our mutual benefit as they had the same problem with members that we did. In the new guild was a husband and wife team. After a few months a lot of the people in the guild arranged to meet up in real life. I didn't go because I was a fat anti-social 17 year old and spending a day with real people would mean spending a day NOT playing World of Warcraft, which was unthinkable to me at the time. They ended up spending several days together (some members of our guild all lived very close to one another, in the same town, so it was arranged that each of them would stay in someone's house during the visit). Remember the husband and wife team? The wife went on the trip but the husband did not. After the trip they began to argue regularly on Teamspeak. Some of the most awkward moments of my life were spent listening to this wife absolutely savage her husband over the microphone about various domestic issues, with our group occasionally interjecting with "sap orange" and "sheep moon" and "I'm sick to death of Botanica, can we skip it tonight and do ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE." Well guess what? On the trip, the wife had begun an affair with another member of the guild. She left her husband to be with him. The whole guild broke up after that. Most of the guild stopped playing WoW, and eventually so did I. I hated Cataclysm anyway - I felt WoW had lost whatever it was that made it so special in vanilla and TBC, but also because without the people I had been playing with for a solid 4 years at that point... it just wasn't the same. Also I was like 19 at this point and felt it was time to stop being such a massive loser and... still be a loser, but get a job and be less of a loser. Play games for 6 hours a day instead of 16 and maybe explore this "having a girlfriend" thing that everybody seems to enjoy so much, ya know? I came back for the classic relaunch in 2019 and never left - I'm enjoying the hell out of hardcore at the moment, but it still doesn't feel the same without all my buddies from back in the day. Only one of them came back in 2019 and we always seem to be doing different things and at different levels so even that's not the same.
Man I really wish I knew if that horde guild holding down tol barad during cata was Warsong Battalion on the Emerald Dream server, those were epic times
I actually first played, fell in love and first got addicted to Diablo 2 by visiting my best friend in SLC. He had recently got his first gf and would be gone 12 hours at a time. I didn't care tho, I had full use of the PC with decent internet for 2 weeks. One of the best trips of my life.
First story reminds me of how my dad stole my Name I played wow on his Account over the years, started many characters and played pvp on his hunter during classic, when cataclysm came around i made a Worgen druid named Teddykrüger, a Name i was really proud of( i was 14 at the time), wich became my first real Main. I raided and apparently readlead decently pugs as well on that character so I still have Fond memories for that toon. Played on and off until I finally made my own Account with a new Main ( to this day i Main panda enhance), during this time my dad had so much fun on *MY* druid that he decided its his now and later renamed his whole Account to Teddykrüger because he liked that name so much, i argued many times with him that he stole my Name but to this days he doesnt See reason and claimes its his. And wow destroyed my parents relationship several times, fun times i wholeheartedly relate to the author :)
That was a horrible dad. The kid worked to buy the game himself then the dad comes and just steals it? I could get it if the dad paid for it but he did not so wtf.
"Not only did she ninja my Nightslayer Cover she was trying to ninja my dad from my mother" is now my favourite line in any Drama Time
This will be my bedtime story
I can never get enough of these even after all these years. Much love to you and your community Preach! ❤
Look at me (points fingers towards eyes) I'm the paladin now

Okay so I'm not the only one thinking this!

Your dad is insane lol
"The Purge" story giving me serious flashbacks to being a raid leader/GM. Oh man. Screw that lol
The GM from Wall of Ice is now the Warchief
I find it hard to believe his father just took his account. I feel these stories are full of so many lies.
Omg, the buying new white armor from vendors was me, axactly.
I love the magicka opening music!
Holy shit. i took part in that multi raid counter attack on org in the wall of frost story. it was eipc... and lagy it was very very lagy.
cata was one of my favorites honestly.
Damn, I've seen way too many people like that BM Hunter in FF14 already.
Lol gotta love hearing people rip on Utah. Lived here since i was a kid
That first story, that dad is the kind of person that deserves to be dumped at the cheapest retirement home you can find...
Cata was good if you exclude the content drought that was Dragon Soul.
Cata was fucking awesome.
Im with preach on cataclysm
Jeez that first story took a dark turn 😅
Yeah, I had a rough childhood and that shit was extreme even to me.
my mom use to smash all my dads computer stuff over an MMO growing up, defo relate with the first story
37:30 big facts though lol
200+ pulls on raz and 80+ on 1st phase is a shitton, seems like the guild is kinda actually bad
It's the 2nd time i see a female rogue who's married cheating on their husband, lmao
The last guild wouldn't have to kick me. I'd have already quit that dumpster guild
😂 laggy stuttering cluster lmao
