I literally sat here for 5 minutes with this video playing silently not realising that there was sound and that I'd muted RUclips at some point. I was captivated, sure, but it did seem slightly on the nose for something purporting to be a language video.
this is the most disgusting thing ive heard today, like a language of vomiting and gagging, also couldn't you have replaced the inhaled rolled r with a snore sort of noise? love the content, very entertaining
@@zzineohp I didn’t know that that’s actually kinda cool I wonder what other weird sounds we can produce and why those sounds don’t show up in languages
@ well yeah lmao I meant more like in the throat, mouth, and nose areas that you could make voluntarily but aren’t used in speech for some reason. Like we don’t make snoring noises in speech even though we can voluntary make that noise.
Theoretically speaking, this could actually be useful for communicating verbally while scuba diving. That being said, it's probably easier in all instances to just hum in Morse code.

my list is all over the place. the OGs Artifexian is mostly weather worldbuilding now, Biblaridion is case studies now. there's human1011 who does a lot of Arabic shorts, waiting for him to do more longform content. etymologynerd's content kinda sucks, it's very "pop linguistics" and his clongs are all absurdistly unusable. There's Language to Learn which covers Malayo-Polynesian (videos are short though). Learn Hittite covers language family proposals. Language Simp of course is parody of language learning channels. Sundro is a new channel that did some stuff (Arabic Sun/Moon letters, Marshallese vowels).
I now really want to see more of the other animals mentioned in the start of this linguistic series, as well as what societies they form. Would animals like chimps continue their brutal way of life or adopt the gorilla philosophy? Would crocodiles have different accents? Would crabs dance for a solid 5 minutes, just so they can speak 1 full sentence? Would animals not in this series so far like elephants and fruit bats have holidays based on what time of the year fruit is most plentiful? It's fascinating.
As a child, I wrote about some alien dolphins that had their own language. Sadly the language was not limited to sounds only articulatable to their mouths and I didn't get very far creating it anyway.
Uhh… So, what phonemes were you actually using, seeing as you presumably made the audio using your human mouth and connected parts of your body? I don’t understand how you made those sounds.
