I think it’s like “Single speed/fixed gear bike gets passed by road bikes” followed by “Road bikes get passed by an even faster fixed gear bike” Because that’s like a commuter single speed at the start, but the fastest bike is a pursuit bike, it’s a fixed gear with an absurdly high gear ratio for speed.
This is AWESOME on so many levels that I can't even count them. Whoever conceived this is a genius. My favorite video of the year without question. I own a couple vintage time trial bikes too but not as expensive as yours.
Its all fun and games till you hit that cross wind. Then your gonna get them burnt legs and arms. That's why I stopped taking my full disk track bike out. 25mph cross wind blew my bike out form under me. Hit the road at 39mph, got a nice long road rash scar up my arm from that.

I have a Ghibli rear disc (road, tubular), and they are build to take some beating. I don't ride that wheel often, but when I do ride it, it always brings a smile to my face.

Ghiblis are built for road conditions as well. The track version of the rear wheel isn't much different than having another axle.
