I really like it when a drama takes the time to develop a good breakup and reconciliation plot. It shows they are actually considering the characters and not just tropes and getting the audience to react. I hope this one was good.
Awwww I love when he spoke English! Such a cute accent! Honestly, I was never a huge Xui Kai fan. In the beginning, I thought he was "Too good looking" If that makes any sense LOL. Almost like he was created. I don't know if he's had plastic surgery or anything like that, not that it matters anyway. I'm not against it at all. People can do what they want. Hell, I would get it too once I think I need it. My main point is, I remember seeing him In the story of Yanxi Palace and I loved his character, he broke my heart... but I could only find him in modern romances afterwards, and at the time I was more into historical or Xianxia/wuxia. (Yes I know about Ancient Love Poetry. I have not watched it yet but it's definitely on my list ) I have also seen the Legends (w my girl Bai Lu❤️), and Sword and Fairy with Esther. But he eventually won my heart after I watched him in Wonderland of Love with his naughty little smile, slick antics & sweet ways. He's not overbearing. He's not domineering or abusive in any way. (His characters aren't anyway), so he slowly started to crawl into my little heart as an actor. And I slowly started to warm up to modern C dramas after watching Hidden Love. Then I watched something I swore I would never watch which was Falling into your Smile after seeing some clips here on RUclips. Everyone said it was basically a "teenager's drama" and even though I am def not old, I am not a teenager. But I am def still young enough to appreciate the gaming world so it intrigued me bc of that and the cuteness of the drama shorts. I binge watched it in a weekend! 😂 So now I will watch anything with him in it. This is my next watch because it is a more mature role for him which I have yet to see, so I'm excited to see how he does with it. I'm sure he will kill it. He is a great actor and seems to adapt to his roles very well. Plus that little smirk could win him a ML role anytime lol. I would love to see him and Zhao Lusi do something together. I think the chemistry and comedy between them would be explosive. Much love from your fan over here in the USA 🫶🏼.
