    That is some seriously nice gear you got there. I especially like the backpack with its features and also the look of it. 👍

    Such a great UL kit! I like how thoughtful you are about every item you select and how you switch out new items each year. I also switched to the Outdoor Vitals puffy, and for an extra couple of ounces, it's so much warmer and more versatile than my Ghost Whisperer.

    I like your setup! Question… I’ve been eye balling the HMG Contour. I saw your review on it… anyway, is it deceivingly larger than most “35L” packs? When I look at yours, it seems bigger than a few packs that I have that are listed as larger. I think some pack companies add every single cubic inch, where as the HMG only measures to the beginning of the collar. Is this your experience? Maybe I should ask, with your kit, how many days of food can you comfortably carry in The Contour? Thanks!

    • @BackcountryRenegade
      @BackcountryRenegade  4 дня назад

      @@woodyshepherd6904 yes there is a difference there compared to how pack companies label their stuff. The 35L refers only yo the main compartment of the bag, the external pockets create an additional 6.5L, so technically it can be 41L if you are talking of total volume including pockets. In the summer time i can comfortably carry 4 days of food in my food bag. This isn’t the greatest pack though if you need a bear box.

    Great video and love your gear choices... Hi ow much would you save if you ditched all the individual stuff sacks and just used your sit pad inside you pack?

    I saw the Nitecore 20k power bank is just 0.2oz lighter than two Nitecore 10k power bank. I like to bring a little more power in case my friends need extra juice so I’d probably get the 20k over two of the 10k for slight weight savings.

    You have some really nice gear. Looking at your lighter pack and adding some of the items that don't have a $ amounts for plus your watch it's over $4,500 which is crazy.

      @@steveh5169 just get what you can afford each year, when something gets used up, then buy something better, in time will have a nice kit if its taken care of. Thats what mine has been, not something thats been got all at once, just each year add a piece or two and now i have what I have. Also helps that some of this gear was sent to me to review and ive incorporated it into my kit

    I'm questioning that base weight. That liner alone is 14oz and you're giving caveats to every item for when you take them. What are you really taking to achieve that weight?
