- The Garden of the Gods, Colorado is one the most amazing nature parks in the world inside the boundaries of a major city (Colorado Springs). The highlight of the park are the huge red sandstone ridges floating in green vegetation, with Pikes Peak (14,115 ft/4,302 m) as a background.

I live just up the road from there. One of the most beautiful places you'll ever experience. Absolutely breathtaking.
It has the characteristic of a broken wood which swept by a massive flood. Very interesting indeed.
I was recently there. The view from up the hill above the road was so spectacular. I was immediately quiet, and didn't want to leave.
I live in north colorado, so I rarely see it. 2 hour drive, but its very beautiful, I want to stay there for a week or so sometime

They are the remains of a 300 million year old mountain range called The Ancestral Rockies, long ago eroded down to sediments. The tectonic uplift that raised the modern Rocky Mountains lifted these old sediments up out of ground, here and there vertically. They are slowly eroding back to sediments again. Cycles of nature.

I was just out there in June. It's not a national park unit, nor even a state park, but a mere city park of Colorado Springs. Unbelievable!!
Jim Green That was the agreement of the land owner a long time ago to give the land to the city to be used as a park and not charge an entrance fee.

@@knight-ue6tf, it's a city park right on the edge of CO Springs, so no danger whatsoever of encountering Yogi or Booboo. However, there are also no picnic tables. Clarification may be needed if you're too young to remember the Yogi Bear cartoon show, which played in, I believe, the '60s, and the setting was Jellystone Park, which is undoubtedly where the campground chain got their name.

Beautiful video! We visited Garden Of The Gods about 5 years ago and if your'e ever in Colorado Springs it's not to be missed. There's also a very nice gift store/sandwich shoppe on the premises. My dad is buried in Colorado Springs so I may get back that way again.

Damn, I almost missed this one. Seems to be a popular place for people to visit from the number of tourists in the video. Very large rock formations in an unusual carpet of greenery and small towns in the background. Production is excellent as usual and like looking out a window, they are so clear.
I went here with my family couple years ago. Such beautiful Place in Colorado springs, Following day we went to Pikes Peak, Such wonderful places we're my husband is from Colorado spring, Magical beautiful place. 🤩 Great vedio!
i was here last week and went 5 times. this place is so great. i hiked about 15 miles total here. so many cool hikes and view points.
