9/10 you start as a picker. You literally go in, grab a scanner, and start picking by yourself. You might get some people in the same isle as you. But for the most part, you work by yourself, at your own pace. (Just have to stay in the time frame) which you’ll learn about.

That depends on state/postion but in California working night shift 6pm - 2:30am so the pay is a bit more im making $17.90 a hour and yearly thats $35k
Depends on you really. Lots of time off options, and “VTO” like every day where you can scan your badge, and if they are slow in work they will send you home. Lots of overtime available too.
It’s all mindset! If you have a good mindset, and want to work you’ll make it for a season and it’ll be worth it. Just don’t look at the time, keep picking, and focus on the checks. Lol lots of overtime opportunities and pay is good with it! It’s worth it if you just bust your butt for a season. Good luck!

If you work over time though (which they offer about every week) you can add an extra day or two and it’s usually $4 extra, and a time in a half. I worked a full week before and I seen close to a grand.

@@AyanlehAhmed-rp1bs it depends on what type of site you work at. Amazon has two types of warehouse: fulfillment centers, and distribution center. I’ve heard distribution is a meat grinder, but I doubt it because every job in the fulfillment center is specifically designed to be done by an average person. If you’re reasonably fit, the job is almost too easy. If you’re not chatting away, you WILL make quota. No one ever questions why I’m going to the bathroom 10x per shift and no one ever said a thing. The internet is outright lying about amazon. Working at a fulfillment center is cleaner, safer, and easier than 95% of all other factory jobs. HR has reached out to me and kept me from being fired TWICE. I’m on vocational rehabilitation, and they are working with me on a level that doesn’t seem profitable for Amazon. Good shoes, stay hydrated, and be super PC, And you’ll love it. I can guide you through the different types of time if you need it.

Whats up man?! I’m still going strong with my lawn business, and work at another Amazon that drives equipment instead of walking all day. (Much easier on my body driving something than walking) haha - especially if I have to go cut yards afterwards. Amazon is honestly not a bad place to work at all. 4 days on, 3 days off. They give you insanely good time off options which includes Vacation, Paid time off (PTO) and also Un paid time off (UPT). Vacation, gets about 2 hours added weekly, and the cap amount is 80 hours. PTO gets added weekly as well and cap amount is 80 hours. UPT gets added every day you work depending how many hours you work. You can use ALL three of three really at anytime vacation you just have to put in 24 hours before. Pto, and upt you can use ANY time. You can sleep in, leave early, tell them “hey I’m leaving at 3 today” and dip. IF YOU HAVE THE TIME. That’s why it works great with my business. I can leave when I want, 3 days off, and I make $20 an hour. Great place to work if you have a good mindset! They will not bother you if you stay on rate, and do what’s asked. You feel like you are working by yourself.

Lots of seasonal opportunities. That’s what I did. You get hired on as a seasonal employee. Can work up to 11 months or so I think it is and can leave whenever, you just have to let them know.
nah man you just pick until those totes are full, put them on the conveyer, grab new totes and keep picking. You basically work at your own pace, and speed, but they want you to stay at a certain range all day.

Heck yeah I was at that time G. I had those speakers like 4 different stops, and multiple picks at a time. That’s why I felt the need to record. My rate was killer because I was picking so much of those speakers at one time.
