I found out about this juicer from a street vendor in Istanbul, then I found one by hunting for a kitchen supply store there, in the back streets of the old part of the city that used to be Constantinople near the Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque. I only spent about $85. I had bought a vastly inferior 'Gipfel' juicer for my wife's birthday that had broken in just two days. These Cancan juicers look like they'll last forever, and they're so easy to clean! Before I'd relied on electric juicers which seemed to have dozens of plastic parts to untwist and mess around with. Highly recommended.

China brand. LolSo we bought this one since at least we knew the brand name and it was about the same price.Imagine our surprise when we make two 16 oz cups of celery juice and have leftover celery. We juiced it and made almost another cup! Same thing happened with our cucumber juice. So it's about 20 - 30 % more juice than our other two juicers including the masticating cold press one!The motor is so much stronger on this one than the Aikcook. It sucks in the vegetables and spits them out like it's angry.I've only had it a few days so don't know how long it will last but all the plastics and interior is much stronger and better made than the other two we had. If it breaks, I can buy a new one with the savings in vegetable bill. Haha.This literally is going to save me about 60- 80 bucks a month because of the juice output. No one likes to waste food.Update! It broke in 8 days. Motor started freaking out. I'm going to get another of them and try my luck because I really really want this one to be the one.

Hello, It is correct, that the pith in itself taste bitter, but you do not find any trace of the bitterness in the juice. I guess it must be because the amount of pith is very small compared to the amount of actual fruit. In industrial production (on large machines) the pith is not removed either.
