Basically I need to say that your friend was wrong, the center of the christianity is Jesus Christ and his sacrifice in the cross, through this he gave us salvation and the chance to be called sons of God. This is the center of all what we believe for. The rest of this is liturgy and a way to say "thank you Lord for saving me" Finally I just wanna say is that Jesus love you!

I've gotten people telling me "those sound like clubbing songs" or "that's not a worship song", I even once got "dancing is not worship, it shouldn't be done". I started leading worship back in 2007 and we started off with songs from Chris Tomlin and Michael W Smith. Now the younger generation listens to Hillsong and Planetshakers. I'm just saying, if anyone here is ever discouraged about using these new "techno" sounding songs, don't be. As time goes on, things change but, it's all still for the same reason. Turn it up, this sound of praise!!! Just something I wanted to share :)

The youth and the elders always sing those songs. Now when it's just youth, those newer songs always do. Hillsong, Planetshakers, Jesus Culture, etc. When just elders then the older Hymns work best and also some of the other stuff like Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, and Michael W. Smith songs. It's all a matter of age group when it comes to what songs to play. You have to know and understand where they are comng from as well so that you can understand what they need, what they are feeling, and what makes their mood.
I simply don't understand christians who criticize this form of worship. The glorious nature of the Gospel message is its simplicity. God doesn't require a PHD in biblical studies for salvation. I am blessed by scholars of scriptures and they help us grow in our faith, but isn't there just a time and a place to dance and sing in joy about the salvation of our risen king Jesus? Scripture describes heaven as a place where we will worship God and it will be amazing. Perhaps this is just a taste of whats to come.

i will give you a testimony when i was 16 i saw that there is a christian fesival with a lot of bands, so i want to go there and many people asked if they're can go with me. So in the end more than 50 people want to go there..then i had a dream, god said i should organise a bus which drove to this Festival, so i did exactly this..people Give me money for the bus but its Not enough and i pray..2 days later i have more money than i need and it's amazing how god works..! remember i was just 16 and god help me organising such an event

This is our theme song in our Diocesan Youth Day in our Diocese of Novaliches in the Philippines. My feels is overflowing every time I sing and dance with this song. And it makes the worship song more intense every time I have some company praising GOD :)
