These youtube originals are like when sequels are actually good. Bigger budget and higher production value, but its still the same show. I hope they come back and do more stuff like this. :)

I'm with the whip idea, like in a room with a fog machine so you can see the sound wave more clearly. There is a professional bull whip user who uses one as self defense and can do target tricks. He has a tree looking stand and puts clear glass Christmas bulbs on it filled with powdered chalk. When he snaps them, they explode in little clouds of color. I'd love to see that in slow motion.
Imagine the big contraption, but with locks on the holes and the holes being in different spots to make a color vortex, I think that would be pretty cool
i suggest you guys should make use of color harmonies instead of using random color combinations. it would surely make your slow mo shots more beautiful to look at.
Paint is probably the most satisfying thing in slow motion. I keep trying to figure out which of the paint videos is my favorite. It's been the airbags for a long time... now.... this.... I'm eager to see the new airbags vid.
Concrete could be cool too. Would likely destroy the blade on our guillotine..... but ya could be cool! Construction foam on the other hand is sick, and won't ruin the blade ;)

Awesome! I think the paint needs to be spun in the canisters vertically! That way as the paint falls outward, it also falls towards the wall, creating concentric circle patters.
Multiple takes needed to get a good shot, maybe the original drill wasn't up to the job? You can see that the drill bit is already covered in dried paint too...
Love that bit of E-safety at the end there “live forever on the internet” it sounds like something a teacher would drill into a class on a Monday morning.
I would recommend try to film ice cubes cracking in slow mo. Like when you dip an ice cube in a glass of water and it cracks. Would be interesting how fast it goes to crack and what frame rate it would be needed to watch it slowly.
If, while using the drill bits, you tilted the wood you inserted the drill bit through into a horizontal position, the resulting paint splashes would look like a Jackson Pollock painting. Give that a try!
If you ever revisit this... that contraption, but turned so the axis is vertical, twice as many slits, and a much beefier motor. Just need to put some flaps on them that are just stiff enough to hold the paint in when it's not moving, but open once it's spinning.
Yes I have done it many times. It shatters bottles into countless pieces in a split second. I can't appreciate what happens when its so sudden. Would love to see the explosion in slo mo

Ripping the top off a truck looks good at 1000fps. A whip cracking is much too fast for a measly 1000fps.
