Aujourd'hui, 13 août 2022 , comme beaucoup , je pense à notre petite fée dont le courage n'est plus à démontrer. Je ne manque jamais une occasion pour écouter une de ses interprétations. Monsieur, j'ai cru comprendre que vous étiez proche de Patricia Janesckova. J'ai 70 ans , mon coeur est brisé quand je vois l'adversité qui s'acharne sur une jeune femme comme elle, dont le talent irradie tellement . Lorsque j'ai l'ai vue sur son lit d'hôpital, mon coeur s'est serré. Mais , elle va se battre! Je pense aussi à toute sa famille et ses proches qui l'aiment .

I have the impression this comes from the period Patricia was reinventing herself. How magnificent she came out of it, like a phœnix . . .
Robbi, can you clarify what you mean by "reinventing herself"? I love this song, even though I don't understand the lyrics, but Patricia sings it with so much personality and vitality. The same is true when she sings Dvorak - she always seems especially relaxed and expressive when singing in Czech - I guess that's to be expected, but the difference is quite notable. Even back on her album when she was 13 - for example the song "Potkam Te Zas" - she sings with such incredible warmth and feeling!
Hello Gregory, it seems that Patricia has had a difficult period, like a small burn-out. I do think this rendition comes from around that moment. The path for a hightalented artist as La Janečková can't be smooth but she is brave. She even has raised herself to the next level of her art.

@@robbiwouters Right. At the same time, it seems like she is *constantly* reinventing herself - new hairstyle, new look, even new singing style! I have the impression that she is a very restless spirit who finds it hard to stay in one place. She mentions in an interview that she had widespread interests as a girl and had to give them up one by one in order to focus on her singing. And she had to pick a field like opera that requires absolute single-minded dedication in order to succeed! It's not at all surprising that she would experience burn-out. Natalie Dessay gave up opera completely in her late 40s and "reinvented" herself as a French pop singer. And even Renee Fleming has recently recorded Broadway, jazz, and even indie rock (!!!).
patricia janeckova & miley cyrus are the 2 best female singers in the world today! both pj & miley have reinvented themselves in recent months.
