Meanwhile China's Guangzhou S & Japan's Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto stations are like ~17km away from downtown. So Apple Daily did a comparison & claimed that travelling from HK-Guangzhou wasn't much faster by HSR than by conventional rail (whose trains go to the more centrally located Guangzhou station instead)

It's expected to be funtional again somwhere in the future but it's not know if the 310 km/h speed limit will be again applied. Nice video indeed!

That's a really good price for a ticket. Hopefully one day soon we will be able to travel all across Europe by train cheaper than it would be by plane. It has been a long time coming.

Firstly, it is grand that Ouigo is in Spain and they have hit the mark here. 👏🏻🚄 I have been following the low-cost operator since the inauguration back in 2013 between Marne-la-Vallée and Marseille and Montpellier, and since then it has gone from strength to strength. Learning the tricks from the low-cost carriers to play at their game to provide low-cost rail travel to a new audience. SNCF said that around half wouldn’t have even considered travelling if Ouigo wasn’t there. 👍🏻 It is a delight that they have expanded to Spain, and it is clear that people love it. Although many from looking at Ouigo's Facebook page many wanted to go as far as an international service from Paris to Madrid. I would be interested to see whether SNCF would through its agreement with NTV (Italo), whether it would set up an Italian subsidiary in the future, or create any further services in other countries like Belgium or Germany.
@@willy4170 As I have said it would be fascinating what would happen in Italy, with an "Ouigo Italia". @Sleeper Train Fan, Thibault from @SimplyRailway said in his newsletter today that SNCF has recently purchased some TGV M sets from Alstrom and they are saying them are outside France. So we could see an Ouigo Italia so.

@@NonstopEurotrip I don't know exactly. Though as you say, maybe this station was built there, in the middle of the forest, for that reason, I guess ... hehe
As far as I know, it was built there to provide equal (but shitty) access to the two main cities of the Camp metropolitan area: Tarragona and Reus. Still a distant dream though until, hopefully the Schengen borders open up again after 30th June, cross-border train services resume (again hopefully) and the remaining border restrictions are removed.
I've been to 5 matches at the Camp Nou and loves every one! Ah yes and maybe extend the route onto Paris, although tbh I have seen Barcelona-Paris TGVs tickets for €35 lately 😂
7:19 Sounds about the same price as Japan's _Shinkansen_ actually (unless you don't reserve a seat, for which the cost can drop significantly I think, though more express versions of their services allocate fewer cars for non-reserved seats), which also doesn't have early-bird pricing

These are fantastic-looking trains. I REALLY wish we had trains like these here in the US but, so far, there just is not much financial interest in building them. The environmental impact would be so positive as well. Sigh... At least some parts of the world are smart enough to realize the benefits and make the investment.
I'm sceptical because no US government ever showed interest in HSR, for decades. The Japanese started in the 1960s, the French in the 1980s, the Spanish and Germans in the 1990s. China invests in both HSR and magnetic systems. The US would have to do lots of stuff to catch up.

It varies depending on the train loadings but there are still €9 tickets available for next week for some trains and on the day they are around €28. First Class is always €9 more, it doesn't matter when you buy.
Any chance you could measure and show the max and average speeds on every day train trip (not really relevant on sleeper trains)? I don't think anyone else on RUclips does that. Decibel measuring would be good too.
It's the brand from SNCf for low-cost high-speed trains. They are much less comfortable than traditional TGVs (now branded InOui) here. In Spain they get both high comfort and low cost.
Very nice central terminal.. those trees relieve tour stress before boarding the train. Spain can you help philippines estblished its own train network hub. And turn our stations to a green park
They will also run on the Madrid-Valencia/Alicante line and Madrid- Sevilla/Málaga. We are going to see a lot of Frecciarossa 1000's in 2022! Super Excited 🤗

@nonstop Eurotrip : How far in advance do you have to buy the reduced price tickets and what are the day ticket prices (2nd class , 1st class) ?
It varies depending on the train loadings but there are still €9 tickets available for next week for some trains and on the day they are around €28. First Class is always €9 more, it doesn't matter when you buy.
thats the way to go!.lower prices and no thrills travel.
Absolutely!
Any chance you could measure and show the max and average speeds on every day train trip (not really relevant on sleeper trains)? I don't think anyone else on RUclips does that. Decibel measuring would be good too.
I do include it where I have the information, or when I remember. The average speed on this trip was 216km/h with a maximum of 310km/h 👍🏻
@@NonstopEurotrip Cheers!
17:45Did you pay 3 euros to use the WiFi?
I absolutely didn't 🙃
@@NonstopEurotrip Well so how did you use the WiFi???

Why are there security checks? In Germany we don't have them, and nothing bad ever happened which could have been prevented by a check 🤷♂️
Because of the train bombings in early 2004
Tank you France for Spain 😉
You're welcome 🙂
OUIGO is the french rail company innit?
Yes 🤗
It's the brand from SNCf for low-cost high-speed trains. They are much less comfortable than traditional TGVs (now branded InOui) here.
In Spain they get both high comfort and low cost.
Great trip report
Thank you 😁
Fantastic tgv duplex french wow.love from mumbai.india.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Epic.
Thanks so much 😁
Ouigo offers competition and lower fares. The US rail system doesn't have competition. A few airlines offer competition and lower fares.😀😀
This is the way forward for European highspeed rail, imo 😎
@@NonstopEurotrip Absolutely. Competition is good
Very Nice!😀👍
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Do I need to print the ticket?
Nope! E-ticket on your phone 📱
Very nice central terminal.. those trees relieve tour stress before boarding the train. Spain can you help philippines estblished its own train network hub. And turn our stations to a green park
It's a lovely station isn't it? 😁👌🏻
That's where the tracks and steam locomotives were placed in the XIX century! The current High Speed infrastructure was built in 1990
@@BlackHoleSpain The tropical garden is very lovely 🥰
After 2 weeks without a toilet check you must have been bursting for a pee! 🤣🤣🤣
So I crammed 2 in this week, just for you Mark 😂
@@NonstopEurotrip Spanish Ouigo looks much nicer than the French version.
Look same French version has on food and drink
@@cteasdale1979 There's no 1st class in French Ouigo though, no café either. French Ouigo also has 3x2 seating on lower deck, no?
What he said ^^ 😊
I love TGV
😍😍😍
Is it ok to take the unseated seat
You're not meant to.
Long Live the TGV Duplex
😀🇫🇷
mucho lokko trainos.....to barcas...bueno...:)
Just tried to book Ouigo a couple of days ago, but their website was broken :( No way to contact them either, it seems.
Try tweeting them, they seem very active on twitter!
Amazing video. The livery is much nicer than French one. I wonder how renfe will cope because trenitalia will also run services here too
The whole route will be low cost competitors soon 😂
They will also run on the Madrid-Valencia/Alicante line and Madrid- Sevilla/Málaga. We are going to see a lot of Frecciarossa 1000's in 2022! Super Excited 🤗
@@alfrredd my favourite train 🙊🙈
@@NonstopEurotrip One of my favorites too! I can’t wait 😊
I hope new competitors will come to Italy too, time to take cars away from our Autostrade and lower prices even more
Awesome :)
Thank you James 😁
France. Opening June 6
Can you make a video of "How to get from Milano Centrale to Milano Cadrona" using the Milano's underground?
I'm steering away from metro reviews, sorry 😂
I just rode this train. It was a miserable experience! No toilet paper, soap or hand towels in bathroom. The seats that face across each other sharing a table have almost not leg room to stretch out. Be careful!
Not my experience, but thanks for sharing!
Hi to. My european friends
The average price Will be 85€ round tríp...but if course you can find that price if you adapt in day /hour
You can get round trips for €18 if you book far enough in advance 👍🏻
@@NonstopEurotrip I am checking right now the June 2021, and only 3 days have "low cost" price of 25€ one way. Even the Oigo manager told that average price Will be half of AVE that is 170€ round tríp. And is good news that the new Oiugo/AVLO/ are half the price....but is not realistic to expect 9€ as a standard, as IS not Ryanair price 5€ the standard..simply marketing for non regular Users.
@Don Blas De Lezo there are lots of €19 fares both ways, so you could get a round trip for €38 for example out on the 8th June and return on the 9th.
I SUGGEST UMOVE CAPTIONS ON UPPER SCREEN OR MAKETHEM TELAST MORE INCISIVE ISNOT EASY AT ALL TO READ THEM
wow
😍
Its a shame the train was running empty- may be due to Covid.
It's was only in First Class. The rest of the train was very busy!
At 9:00 I does not believe how the coach was empty
They knew I was coming 😁
@@NonstopEurotrip Can you make a video more lengthy 🥺.
Because it is very short videos and that's why we cannot see the scenery or window view of your journey.
Je suis jaloux des espagnols car il ont un OUIGO super avec des bon sièges si on le compare avec le OUIGO français il est inconfortable et les rames n’ont pas bar
I must say tho, the whole InOui and OuiGo pun is a bit corny for what is basically a technological marvel of modern transport. To France - Please stop with the Frenglish puns. Sincerely a bilingual French.
I totally agree 😂
Nice video !!! A loooot to read though :/

Spain on amber list
That English, OMG....
🤔
Better or worse than your spanish?
About the livery. I don't like it. My oppinion is that it is to much i your face. Just like ryanair ads for example
It's better than the French one tho, eh? Lol 😂
@@NonstopEurotrip ofcourse is this livery better than the french😅. I understand that they took this livery. They need to stand out in the market to the passengers. One way to do that are the prices and an other is a recognizable livery. I hope they succeed. Normaly is competition good for the passengers
I hope so too 😁
The Spanish thank the SNCF
French to put at the disposal of the Spaniards of the beautiful trains at prices that renfe will never be able to reach
Funny you should say that, but my AVE 103 back to Madrid was only €27, albeit in Turista Class. Ouigo have certainly made Renfe bring the prices down. And when their low cost service starts (also from €9)... Who knows 🤷🏻♂️
Tha announcements are made in Spanish, Catalan and English... but not in French?! French is the international language that's closest to Spanish and Catalan, plus this is an SNCF service. Have the French really given up on their nation and identity?...
I guess they have to draw a line with how many languages they use and English is more widespoken, especially as more English and America tourists go to Spain then elsewhere...
