Then spend 5 minutes overtaking at 41mph in a 2 lane section of motorway and wonder why everyone speeds past them when they finally indicate left
@@joec7130 the blame lies with the insurance companies and government. Over regulating our industry till most trucks are going so damn slow. Also gotta blame the general motoring public for many of the issues.
@@volo1826 Well when you're not overtaking anyone say out of the fucking left lane. So many trucks just cruise in the middle or far left lane and it disrupts traffic.
@@volo1826 is it not easy to notice the guy trying to overtake you and drop by a couple mph rather than get an ego burst and stay dead on 1mph below
I'm watching this from my truck, and when the prepass thing for the weigh station went off I freaked tf out because its sounds IDENTICAL to what's in my truck 😂😂 I'm parked at a truck stop and I was like "IM BEING PULLED INTO A WEIGH STATION WHAT"

@@acmenipponair That's a pretty good ideas as well, specially because the roads in Mexico are quite twisty and slow to drive. I do think that Jimmy would lose the last bits of his sanity if he was to attempt any of our ideas though haha.
I tried a cannonball run with a modded car, BMW M5 and I swear, I could’ve done it in 15 real life minutes or around 15 in game hours, but while in Denver, I thought on I-70 there would be a gas station ahead, so I skipped Denver and ran out of service for gas. Sad. My average was probably like 130 mph aswell, because I was doing 200 in the east.

I do love how much care they put in the game. I can actually navigate teh Seattle/Bellevue/Tacoma area without GPS because it's just accurate enough to real life.

I never realised how realistic these places are. Portland, Seattle, and even the Port of Tacoma to some extent look like they do irl. I also go to college in Bellingham, and could have sworn I saw Minty out my window
Once the full map is (eventually) done, you should follow route 1 all the way from Fort Kent, Maine to Key West, Florida. If they have those places.

Jimmer, I did a for real cross country run from Daytona Beach FL. To Vista CA, just north of San Diego about 30 years ago in very fast KW and a trailer with only one race car in it, so very light. Elapsed time was 48 hrs and 20 mins. I don’t think it has ever been beaten, no one mad enough to try I think.

I've drove from Charlotte, Nc to Las Vegas, Nv and I will tell you now I-40 is the toughest road ever. Brand new racecar hauler, got to vegas and the sliding doors on the rear for when the trailer is set up, were knocked out of there (locked) holding positions and both had cracks.

I imagine that would be crazy fun with a scale version of the US. The better you do, the more you earn money for truck upgrades and/or sports car upgrades.
That Herd cow catcher is so old. Airflows are bigger, eye bolts are more centered and the steel design is way better. You need to upgrade that rig.

the first crash was portland as far as i can tell, so if it towed you to salem then that took you a good ways toward the destination.

I know this is just a game and for fun, but in reality you would never go down through cali, use to be a trucker and cali the speed limit for trucks is 55mph, strictly enforced, also their highway patrol and dot are like pirates of the road that rob you every chance they get. Speed limit through Nevada is 75, and in Utah some parts are 80mph. A much more scenic drive the other too.
