The fake Disney/Nickelodeon audition radio ad scam has been going on for years. They use a lot of buzz words to get you excited, but it's a total bait and switch. If you're excited about becoming an actor, you might think this is your shot. It's not.
Unless you're in the film business, you might not pick up on the ways these companies use key words to make you think they are associated with these companies.
It's a trick to get you in the room. Once you're in the room, the excitement can take you over. Everyone else is excited, so why not you, too?
Watch the video and beware of scammers. There's many types of scams. Learn about the business so you can protect yourself as you pursue your dreams.
Learn to watch your own back!
    Break a leg,
    Nancy

There’s a scam on RUclips ads right now saying Disney auditions and that there’s a “BIG DISNEY ACTOR” who is going to be there during the zoom interview. I just did it and I waited an hour and 40 mins for the “audition” to start and it never did. They probably just sold my email and name and phone number to scam companies or something.

Oh no, I'm so sorry this happened to you! It's scams like these that can destroy our spirit and kill our dreams. You should be grateful that they never got on that zoom call. They're professional scammers and are good at what they do. You don't need these types of "auditions" get start working. Every audition you get, whether it's for a short film or a TV show, is a stepping stone in the right direction to build your working credits. These "short cuts" are dangerous. I'm here if you need help!

Spread the message COS THERE STILL DOING IT
honestly we need to get law enforcement

They're very good at promising you nothing while using buzzwords to keep you distracted. Law enforcement can't do anything if people are paying them and signing contracts that tell them exactly what is happening. It's our job as actors to be aware of how the industry works to protect ourselves. Hopefully someday they'll mess up. Til then, we gotta watch each others' backa and help actors learn how the business really works.

Hey Mrs Nancy, I actually had an audition for the Disney “Premiere” Event deal.. the guy who I would do the skit with was a former actor his name was Michael Palance and I remember doing it and I actually had won and came in 1st place.. this was like August of 2014.. and afterwards they wanted my parents to pay like $1000 upfront to move on to the next stage.. so we got up and walked out because it was a Scam and I remember feeling famous because people were coming up to me and congratulating me 😢that’s a shame

It is a shame because they used your dream to try to scam you. Did you ever attempt to continue acting?
