    I can’t explain it but Dee’s explanation of how she doesn’t like half of the Baked Alaska dessert had me dying! 😂🤪🍨

    The "sauce" for the Salmon is the same thing you use for a brown sugar ham glaze.

    tendering in as it is quicker than the shuttle past the slide area where you are not allowed to walk through. great dock location for the Millennium :)

    Skagway looks beautiful! My boyfriend is taking me on Alaska cruise. We are leaving Sunday from Long Beach it's a two-week cruise with Carnival Miracle. I am so excited we're going to do the train and the salmon bake and we're also doing a hovercraft ride.

    Fun fact about your destination port, Seward, Alaska. The opening scene from the movie (starring Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, Sam Neil) Hunt For Red October was filmed in Seward, Resurrection Bay, not with the actors, but the outdoor views they are scanning. You can clearly see the formation called Caines’ Head, and Lowell Point. Don’t know if you are a movie trivia fan, but fun facts are sometimes cool!

    Good morning. As always great video. I have friend's in Danali National Park. They were going to do a helicopter tour but it's a complete white out. Snowing like crazy and temperatures in the 30's.

    A fox 40 whistle is a solid hiking accessory when there might be bears. Clip it to your bag. The salmon lunch looked good but a bit messy?

    You were chatting about where salmon go after they spawn, as how do they return to the sea. I hate to tell you this, but after they spawn, they die. Not immediately, but they don’t have energy to return to the sea, after they are back in the freshwater and going back up stream. Sorry for being the bearer of bad news.

    You two are hilarious. Love your vlogs so much. You both do a lot of trail wilderness walking. Do you carry bear spray? Or what would you do if you encountered one?

    I have a question please get back to me. Do you prefer princess or carnivale miracle for an Alaskan cruise. Sprit is out of service till Oct 2025

    • @parodeejay
      @parodeejay  Год назад +1

      Both Princess and Carnival have given our favorite Alaska cruise experiences so far, so it would depend on if you want the Carnival atmosphere of lively and family-friendly, etc. or the Princess atmosphere which is normally a bit more calm and subdued.
