Taxidermy is a reflection of bygone times. The Château was shown to us as a whole, which is stunning. Thank you Anna and Ed. The owners artistic flair is highly apparent and very appealing. Love all the chandeliers.
@Anton I did not think she was Jealousy every woman would love to be dressed well. I was making just a statement concerning this as such. Anna is a good woman!
I saw this chateau listing on another website and loved all the pictures, but getting a tour was incredible. What immaculate and completely fresh and exquisite taste they have. Truly a work of art on all levels: engineering, decor, and renovation!
I love the elevator, the heating and how well they have thought their renovation. However, I like yours much better. Your taste in furnishings, etc. is just lovely.
Very practical additions like elevator, geo thermal heating & solar panels to the building, makes it a very attractive property…👍 All chandeliers are beautiful 👌 Other than the taxidermy animals& birds &1 black & white weird painting ( gave me chills)… this chateau is a great property… price is a bit steep, but then it comes fully furnished & little or no renovations to do.
Interesting to see what modifications are allowed on some Château. I am sure there are variances by area but still neat to see. Thanks to you both and the realtor for showing us!
I love this transformed chateau. It's been modernized so it looks comfortable to live in and functional. The owner/ artist has an incredible eye for design. Thank you for sharing with us
If you take their style of decorating out of it, it’s a beautiful clean slate to put your own style to it. I would certainly want to buy a few pieces. Even if it isn’t your style, it’s well done. Quality and creative decor. Love the soft, neutral colors. I would add some plants to the front. It’s a little hard and plain for me. Some plants would soften it up.
A beautiful restoration keeping much of the old, but with all of the modern upgrades of windows, heating, elevator, bathrooms, etc. the chandeliers throughout are exquisite. Wonderful tour. Thank you. xx
WOW!!!!!💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓What a remarkable property, and Anna, I'm with you....those lights are all stunning!!!😍 Thanks guys, for taking me to a place I probably would never have gotten to go to 💋💋
What an amazing place. Thank you for showing it to us. Wish I could move in. I’d have to change the colored glass on the outside of the windows to clear. Gorgeous, but you and Anna are doing an amazing job, too.

THANK YOU FOR THIS STUNNING TOUR OF THIS DREAM CHATEAU!!! 💖💖💖💖💖
Such a fairytale setting of modern times. I love it(minus the gallery of many game hunts)! The $4.2 Mil price mark with furnishings included, is rather remarkable. I live in a ski town in Colorado and this place far exceeds what you can get for that, here in Breckenridge. I saw so many clever repurposed ideas...They will probably make their way into my house. Reading the comments, as per any house that is lived in, we must look past the owners' taste and imagine where you will make your mark on this outstanding chateau. Thanks to all three of you!
I have mixed feelings about this place. I'm not sure why the owner would have thought that all those dead animals on the wall added anything to this chateau. I also found the rooms small and cluttered. Not fond of modern furniture.
@@magicmarker7047 the furniture is for an apartment. The decor spooked me. All those dead birds, the elks ,ugh!! And the animal skulls, I will have a nightmare .

A big hello from Croatia I first saw you on tv - in the Escape to the chateau and I think I heard that Ana is from Kosovo so I am sending you many many greetings. I really like the french way of decorating a chateau. Especially, I like french chandeliers, mirrors and dishes. My husband and I are decorating our wooden house in Croatia, near the Plitvice lakes. I made a comment thinking I was commenting on the project Anna and Ed were working on instead I see its another Chateau and I have to say not my cup of tea my eyes are on the project I love it.sorry for making a mistake .blessings
The interior done has a rather distinct taste. It’s not mine but the heating facilities installed are attractive. Wonder how much it’d be without most of the interiors.
Nice to see the modern design choices the owners carefully made with windows, wall finishes and art pieces. All the heating and mechanical improvements must make the chateau much more comfortable for year-round living. Yes, more of these house tours will be wonderful.
Thank you for taking us chateau hunting! This was a magnificent restoration. Not to my personal taste but as an artist I applauded all the creativity that was poured into this chateau. I especially loved seeing the natural stone walls revealed throughout. I could hear the wheels turning in both of your heads and wonder what we'll be seeing on Bordeaux Life in the near future.
I thought I was not going to enjoy it after I saw the eclectic decorating but it was executed with such amazing taste, I have a very similar Carrara marble table in one of my homes although I wish I had used the lucite chairs!
Thanks for the tour! A rare gift, since I would never get to go chateau shopping in real life! I love almost everything about it, but if I actually had the money to purchase, I would want the owners to catalog any stories, history, etc. of the items staying with the chateau. It is so well done, but feels like some of the old character is missing. Everything must have a story behind it. I would not want any of the animals. They would need to be donated to a natural history museum or whatever. I agree, with everything renovated and the features, out buildings, property, the price is very good in my opinion. Fun to dream. Sadly, my bank account cares not!
Wow I love this. I love how they brought modern in and didnt opt for Granny's bric-a-brac furniture like so many people do with chateaux . However, I loathe and am repelled by the taxidermy and hunting trophies, which ruin it for me; Also I would have to plaster the exposed stonework which has a chilly and unfinished look, Not crazy about the too modern windows/doors either. but they're practical. but all in favour of the lift
GOD i would love to live in bordeaux. and a chateau in bordeaux? that's something out of my dream. even though the interior is not my taste, it's built very nice. my favorite was the dining room. the chandelier and the simplicity is incredible.
Totally exquisite x I am not a lover of stuffed animals or skeletons BUT they even made that work for me. It is beautiful x the only thing I would not want is the dining table and chairs, personal choice but such a beautiful home xx
Exquisite! I love the modern and the old and it is just so well renovated. A modern château. I don’t like the wildlife at the entrance and the modern windows, but they must be so much better in the winter. The rest is just perfect. It has it all! Thanks for showcasing it here!
Thank you so much for the tour. A gorgeous property, everything done to a very high standard, no expense spared, original features showcased ❤ Congrats on 100k subscribers 🥰
This is a beautiful Château! I love the interior walls. The decor really does show off all the beautiful details of the architecture. I did like the rat. And yes if I had money in my checking account I would but I would buy this chateau. The chandeliers were all very interesting. I really enjoyed this video. Love from Vermont
I’m not a fan of the taxidermy but love the grounds and the chateau. It’s very modern looking in it’s sleek and airy style. The elevator was even a work of art. Like Anna I have chandelier and dressing room envy. If only I had 4.2 million. Thanks for the tour ❤❤❤
Thank you for showing us. I’ve been in Paris when it was -18 Celsius. I can’t imagine that château with those naked walls and no insulation it would be freezing. But I guess if you got $5 million to blow on a château you then can go somewhere tropical when it’s cold.
@@maggiegray1698 Well that would make a huge difference. But stone does get very cold it would add air circulation from cool wall to floors. Here in Canada ( Toronto ) one winter we had -25*C for almost a whole month and I’ll tell you those solid stone buildings became enveloped in frost when it warmed up suddenly 15*c one day. It was magical.
Windmills is what we call them in the states but they are not that highly engineered. But if you’re were a traveler in the old days, they were a welcome sight because you knew there was water there!!!
Absolutely magnificent! A superlative juxtaposition of restoration to various periods and styles with the admission of current lifestyle. Wow, I could move in tomorrow. I've yet to have seen anything at this level of curation. Please bring us more. This is a wonderful addition to your playlist.
It was absolutely fun to look at. But my furnishing tastes are more traditional. It was more like an haute-art-installation and very imaginative. Yet I felt sorry for all the dead birds ...& VULTURES!! The vultures were really over the top! I think the attic works well with all it's odd angles and interesting peaks as the more 'modern-hangout' ...the rest I'd redo a bit.
I noticed that underneath the eccentric décor the artist kept the integrity of the building. If someone moved in with completely different taste they would only need to add their own furnishings. I’ve never seen an artist do this much while keeping the building appearing almost untouched underneath. I’m also jealous that the property is entirely off grid and self sufficient. I hope more properties become self sufficient again.
WOW! What a spectacular château and grounds! It would have been nice to have seen it at night! I wish I had millions 😮😅. Nice job showing us around Anna and Ed you both are wonderful!❤❤❤❤

Sans the deadlife, I’m growing to like this chateau more than I did when I first saw it advertised a few months ago. The scale is manageable and the practicality of the modernisation is well thought out. If the price is for it furnished it’s not a bad deal in that area.
I’m freaked by all the taxidermy in the entranceway. Deer/Goatheads and Antlers not a fan, Apart from that it’s Beautiful the Chandeliers are amazing. Furniture stunning throughout. Really well decorated. Tapestries are awesome. The views are fantastic. A very Highend Chateau. Thank you Anna Ana Ed for the tour of it ❤
OMG the front entrance is a bloody nightmare . so much death and carnage at " Hello". I am sure his realtor had a talk with the owner about clearing all that out but must have met with some intense resistance . I am finding the furnishings to be at war with the interior. Everything looks temporary. a lack of mass/ subtanance . It needs a good interior designer who can bring in some Texture. My favorite was the basement
i think this château is amazing and the engineering will take this château into the future which will take a lot of the costs of owning a château . some won't like some decor but should look past that . All the work done to perfection i'd say was worth the money
As much as I would not enjoy living with the taxidermy.. it's done well. It somehow brings the old traditional statement alive in a very contemporary way. The whole house has been presented with very clever and sophisticated thought. The old and new..done perfectly.
I prefer your mansion renovation to me a lot of the character has been taken away at least with your mansion what is old is decorated as such and the modern parts blend in
Rat 🐀 Rat Look Anna a Rat.. oh you cheeky thing … you too are funny..🤣 I actually love how unique this place is I appreciate it because as a Interior Designer it’s breathtaking 👏👍
I have seen this château before. Someone made a video of it. I remember all the skulls and that windmill. I never realized lightning rods would actually get the ends burnt down from lightning strikes. But we are talking about millions of volts hitting them. Thank you for showing us this beautiful château Edd and Anna and, of course, Valerie, for inviting us.
The Chateau is beautiful, I don't care for the dead wildlife in the entrance but that can be removed. I love the fact that they didn't over modernize the kitchen, I would love to have a little bit more of the old -world charm like the windows. I have to admit 4.2 Euros is very cheap for everything that comes with the place. For my American friends that's 4.4 and change closer to 4.5 million in dollars. Overall, the I like the place. I hope you show more in the future and using the relator for the property was a great bonus. Thanks for taking us along. Love from N.Y.
A beautiful Chateau, and lots of stunning rooms. The out buildings etc are outstanding . When buying a property like this, people need to see what they would change to make it their own.. not what they see at first. Taxidermy is not my thing, but that did not bother me. (I didn't kill it or eat it).... the fixtures, fittings, furniture and the grounds are worth it. Buy a Shell of a Chateau and renovate etc will cost the same!
I love your home so much more, this is just too modern for the period of the home. I feel your home is true to the period with the decor you’re putting in it.
Thank you Ed, Anna and Valerie, for this great tour of so many of the rooms and floors. This Chateau has been restored exquisitely. I would be fine moving in as it is right now, maybe minus taxidermy. The Chandeliers were marvelously done. The kitchen was so well equipped and ready to just move in and work in very easily, and with some whimsical feeling with the very cute Chandelier with a personality of its own, yet very lovely as well! When lit it truly stood out which many of the chandeliers did in the chateau, this means so much, to just be able to have them all in place and to stay! Can you imagine Christmas at this chateau!! The outside is perfect and can imagine how beautiful it must be during the nice weather. The elevator will be so helpful as there are many stairs, and it would be great as people grow older or if older family members were to move into the Chateau. Each bedroom seemed to have a lovely ensuite, and this is so important. This would be such a lovely 'bed and breakfast' or 'wedding castle' area really. It would maybe not fit the personality of everyone, but would maybe fit in positively with the modern people of today, and those who still want the magic of a castle and the style and the love of good architecture, you would have many coming to stay for a, short time here and there, anyway. Perhaps busier than I know? One could add more if they were able that may be helpful to draw in the clientele for this. So many floors and they have done each one over so very well 'even attic and basement'. To even think how they have added geothermal and solar heating, and water set up, is a phenomenal plus! If I were even able to purchase, I would want to know if there are other fees to pay, and also exactly what will stay and not stay and that all would need to be sorted out, of course. The attic was full of alot of artistic work and they may well want all of this and even if that happened, the attic can be changed into another room, if one must. But what a lovely Chateau! Mysterious, whimsical and exotic and exquisite, all at one time! Thank you!
Beautiful building and grounds. I nearly turned off when I saw the coloured glass that replace the window ironwork, then the abundance of dead animals were just too much for me... but thats just my personal taste. I loved the antique pieces and mirrors, and am so glad they kept the architraves and fireplaces.... but am not a lover of the cheap modern shelves and fittings. If I had the money I would love to buy it but not the modern bits... they jarr with the character of the building...When i bought my house it had been "modernised" and Ive spent 33 years bringing its original features and character back... This feels as if the architect has done it as a project to show just what he can do rather than what is in character and appropriate for the Chateau... Its a show house not a home.... He could have done a better job....
I am speechless! I would buy it if I could! Thank you Edd, Anna and Valerie for showing us a spectacular chateau! I love it!!!🤩🤩🤩

Ed and Anna were brilliant with this presentation. The finest I’ve seen.
Fabulous....Thank you so much for presenting this visual splendor!
Wow!! Thank you for sharing!
As much as I would not enjoy living with the taxidermy.. it's done well. It somehow brings the old traditional statement alive in a very contemporary way. The whole house has been presented with very clever and sophisticated thought. The old and new..done perfectly.
I prefer your mansion renovation to me a lot of the character has been taken away at least with your mansion what is old is decorated as such and the modern parts blend in
Rat 🐀 Rat Look Anna a Rat.. oh you cheeky thing … you too are funny..🤣
I actually love how unique this place is I appreciate it because as a Interior Designer it’s breathtaking 👏👍
Thanks for sharing this with us.
Merry Christmas everyone!
I think it is a beautiful eclectic mix which works beautifully. Very arty and very livable. Just love it 😀
Congrats on reaching 100,000 subscribers!!! Beautiful chateau and the solar and geothermal heating make it a great investment.🤩🤩🤩
What a creative and beautiful Chateau. The price is reasonable considering the overall size and amenities.
Wow, what a beautiful place
Very cool. Got lot of DIY ideas from this tour. Thanks!
Oh, your 🧡 you gave me disappeared when I corrected a spelling mistake. Well, learning by doing 🤓
Me too. Putting my florentine mirror in my "too masculine" ensuite bathroom for a start.
Stunning, it took my breath away! Thanks for this oh, so lovely, tour.
Thank you!
Thank you for showing it but I don't like it either . Your taste is much better in Lagorce and your house xx
