- California Music Fest will be in high gear this weekend, bringing together a multitude of music vets as they celebrate some of the biggest names in hard rock and metal as part of the 2015 NAMM Jamm. Tonight we raise our lighters for Quiet Riot/Ozzy Osbourne's talented but underrated guitarist Randy Rhoads, taken tragically too soon in 1982. The all-star line-up includes Joel Hoekstra, Nik Kai, Brian Tichy, and more.

Mike done a damn good job and didn't butcher or ruin any of this at all...38 years ago and people continue to play and remember RANDY RHOADS and his playing style along with his greatness... Proof his style of play is alive and well and never will die... So much given to all of us in only 25 short years!!! Certain ones said Randy was overrated and took from Eddie VanHalen....You gotta be kidding me ...they are called influences and any and all who have ever played has at least a few

It is a great cover but ,its proof of how awesome Ozzys voice is and Randys guitar work was when people try to cover these song.
You are so right buddy. It seems like they always have great players at these things but the vocalist can't cut it.
Ozzy voice isn't really awesome...is really easy to imitate or sound similar Personally I believe that this and many of the singers on the R.R. tribute show does a better job than Ozzy

It's frustrating when the band dominates and plays the song with extreme excellence and the singer is constantly singing off key and ruins the song.
Considering Ozzy sang most live performances with Randy off key. Perfect tribute.lol.

I don't think Randy would appreciate that sentiment.He was a gentle soul and your comment doesn't really reflect that. You might think bout educating people about how Randy worked hard on his craft and was an innovator of bringing technique and tone to this genre that had never been done before. Be nice dude. The newer generations are just trying to understand what this is all about That being said this video is not the best introduction to Randy. Buy the album, tape, mp3 or just watch Randy online. You'll see the magic.
