    You made the same mistake I did but went back and corrected the next day. The mistake is, Tightening the horizontal bushing before putting a load on it.
    Now when you put the car on the ground the bushing will twist and then when you hit a bump it will twist even more and thus wear out quicker.
    If it's not twisted at rest it should last longer, Right ?

    Nice vid. Didn't know I had to access the item by removing a wheel. I was gonna pull the fender off.

    what if the bushing's orientation is not exactly the way the old bushing was? I just changed the bushing on my 2003 Element and i didn't even think to check that. I just put it in.

    Before you do this repair see Honda TSB 09-023 April 11, 2009
    Both front compliance bushings (aka control arm front bushings) may be
    eligible for warranty replacement. TSB says the job takes 1 hour to
    replace both bushings! Seems awfully fast but maybe experienced mechanic
    can do both in 1 hour. Plus 0.6 hours for wheel alignment. I didn't
    know about this TSB so dealer charged me 4 hours labor.

    excuse me for the question, I have a 2007 Acura mdx, I need to change the ball joints, can I just change the ball joints? Or do I have to change the entire lower arm? Thanks for your answer and for your videos.

    You only showed the easy bush to replace. What about the other one? What do I do there?

      same thing but sideway bro, you will actually have an impact socket that will fit that one vs having to go find something for this one.

      But the control arm is odd shaped and won't fit in my press. There isn't flat surfaces to push off. The rear one is a pain and I can't get it out

      @@2carpros Technically yes, but is much more difficult because of the dimensions of the control arm.

      @bronx-gr 3 года назад +1

      @@2carpros this is very misleading, yes theoretically it is the same process but you have that very wide rim on the other bushing. What do you rest it on? Don't mislead people like that, oh it's easy, same process. No it's not.

      @@2carpros but it's not. The lip on the bush the demotions of the LCA means it is a royal pain in the ass. I cannot get it to fit in my floor press and the threaded press is now bent due to there been no flat surfaces for the receiving cup to sit against
