Day of Prayer and Service (2023)

Our first-ever "Day of Prayer and Service" was held on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. This day was created for our #SaintsFamily💙⚜️ to participate in meaningful fellowship, prayer, and service for our community. This day included:
🍩 House breakfasts!
🎤 Guest speakers: Tracy Patkunas, Secretary for the Miracle League of Central Illinois - our chosen Senior Charity project - and Joey Gruenwald, Central Catholic alumni (Class of 2010) and Regional Director for the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS).
🙏 House prayer time and Mass preparation led by our Community Captains (student leaders).
⛪️ All-school Mass.
🎅 Filming for our annual Central Catholic Christmas video!
💙 An examination of conscience led by our student leaders, Reconciliation opportunities, and an all-school rosary.
🤲 Service projects benefitting Home Sweet Home Ministries, Midwest Food Bank, St. Vincent De Paul, Faith in Action, Birthright, and our partner schools.
🎄 Christmas "Light Fight" hosted by the Lumen House! Classroom doors and House Christmas trees were decorated by each House for points towards the "Saints Cup!"
