This girl has the most astonishing stories. I can barely listen, it's so heartbreaking. Her past is so shocking, staggering, grueling, and unfathomable. I have trouble imagining being strong enough to survive it, or share the memory later, or forgive the Universe for any of it.
This lady is a profound spiritual resource. We should all give great weight to her words. She paid the price for Wisdom, and she's chosen to respond to Evil with Grace and Peace and Love, the only solvents stronger than atrocity. We're all lucky she's willing to teach from her pain, and still cares about humans and being Humane. Shes offering us pearls, and none of us will know how deep she had to go to get them.

respectfully, this is a Woman. not a girl. its completely different meanings and worth determining. possibly one of the handful of women so amazing and strong they could be presented as role model to the younger generations of young women navigating

I can’t begin to wrap my mind around this. It just makes me cry. What she shared about how the Chinese men get the North Korean women pregnant and use their babies for child pornography is so evil I can’t fathom that level of depravity. And no word for love in North Korea and the banning of love between a mother and child by the North Korean leader. No human or even animal should live like this.

I think that we really are going to win this, beating the communists and manifest the liberation of north Korea relatively soon. this is based on the wide range of relevant data acquired over time and historical cycles correlating solar behavior with the fall of empires/dynasties and death of fiat currencies

Yeonmi , i have an idea! *oh god what?* we build an exact replica of the Kumsusan Palace. Put a replica corpse of kim il sueng and kim jung il. For north koresn defecters to vandalize. 😆
involving negative behavior and attitudes will cause disempowerment. however, it would be pretty awesome to just go ahead and build a 1 for 1 replica of that complete with the corpses like on the Las Vegas strip or something and never say anything about it to Kims/NK party.... it would confuse the hell out of them. haha.
