I've heard Douglas Murray speak on forgiveness in many of his interviews, and I think only now, after hearing it again, do I realize it's vital importance. It took several times of hearing it for me to finally understand. I do hope he writes more on the subject and gives listeners and readers concrete ways of incorporating forgiveness into our lives. It is a skill that must be learned and practiced. It does not come naturally, and for many public figures these days it is looked upon as weak.
Both Murray and Peterson go totally overboard feeding on each others frenzy as they pound harder and harder on their personal dislike of Donald Trump. It was a despicable display of conjoined madness by the two. Their biases shine bright as demonic klieg lights as the two almost catch on fire by the end of their blithering rant.
Great conversation. One thing to consider is that a lot of people legitimately voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 due to his policy and due to their distaste of the Democrat's policies. And since Trump is not a typical politician, he was willing to do many important things (like take on China with trade) that other politicians will not due (both Dem and Rep). It's not fair to say people only did it as a middle finger to the left because it's not true. You also must understand the complete distrust many people have for the media in America..... We will watch a press conference or read about a policy..... And then get something completely different from the media. They are blatantly deceptive and manipulative. It can make it VERY hard to figure out the truth sometimes. Especially with something as complicated as election fraud in an election where ~160 million people voted and each state has different voter laws and procedures.
Those two are high on my list of public thinkers that I truly appreciate, but I don’t think they’ve examined all of the available information on this. There seems to be compromised individuals at all levels of our government. After this year, I see clearly that our institutions have been corrupted.
Even these two still operate with a cartoon version of Trump in their heads thanks to the "eye of Sauron"...which is disappointing. A blind spot on their part or a conscious decision to retain a minimal level of social credit in mainstream society? Who knows. At least they covered the riots - but didn't really differentiate the ratio of severity enough from the Capitol Hill farce - which was nowhere near the order of insurrection. If that had been an attempt at insurrection it would have actually looked like one. I shared this episode on FB etc at the start. Unshared it at the end. Pretty cul-de-sac stuff, certainly for Jordan.

I love listening to JBPeterson and Douglas Murray. I have a question as to how it isn't possible to separate the man Trump as President from the Office of the Presidency. I get the criticism of the man, but the policies of repatriated investment, no new wars, low tax, low regulation, energy security and also having a rising minority vote, are all very impressive. Combine this with an unrelenting resilience after Obama illegally used government officials to spy on him before his inauguration, and a four year insistence (disproved) the Russians were involved in the 2016 election, and you have a very strong leader.
Because you can't separate the man from his office. In no job is that ever the case -- an interview to work at Subway requires some moral judgement, and correctly. The Presidency is an office where moral judgement should be the guiding factor. Even if it were to be granted that Trump enjoyed policy success, this doesn't explain how so many overlooked his flaws before such successes existed (the first election).
@@maxcrosby4232 This might be true assuming there is collective agreement on moral standards, but I'm not sure that is an assumption that can be made. Furthermore, I wonder about the degree to which Trump has such moral deficiencies that it so negatively affected his position, BUT he was able to implement policies that could objectively be considered as quality and effective. I think ultimately we are struggling with applying consistent moral standards leading to tiresome hypocrisies.

@@jessewest2109 seeing people go through the mental gymnastics of choosing between JBP and Trump in the comments has been interesting. Of course, as long as you aren't a fanatic, a choice isn't necessary.
I'd bet that I have spent conciderably more time than both JP and DM on the claims that the election was stolen. Even in all my efforts I'm left with two conflicting thoughts. Firstly it is extremely clear to me that the opportunity and the will to corrupt the process was there. Secondly that there is plenty of room for me to be mistaken. I'm not privy to how extensive the fraud claims were investigated. It's simply too muddy a space to get a clear handle on, particularly in the face of such an extremely biased media. The alternative media on RUclips is subsequently a minefield as our imaginations go into overdrive. As long as Peterson spreads the message of adhering to the principles of truth and self reflection I'm more than happy he is very moderate and inclusive in the political sphere. If any solution is to be found in uniting a civilized discourse it starts within all of our hearts. It's really not clear either way for me. So many people are too certain they know what is going on on both sides of the equation. I'd rather see a difficult comprehensive and inclusive dialogue return to the culture than where the alternative is leading us.

Would like to put in a word for Tammy (JP's wife). She reminded him that he said the courts in Canada were often corrupt so why couldn't the ones in the US be? Great comment Tammy!
I mean, the leftist types thought the courts are corrupt and unfair... Except for the 2020 election. Then it was fair. It was unfair right after Biden was sworn in again though.
Other point was that they were republican judges so they should be non leftist, but who says they are on Trumps side? I think there are plenty of republicans who do not like Trump very much at all. He is not republican, even by looking his political history, he has been registered democrat, republican and also independent, he is no partisan actor who does things by party politics for the party. He just used republican side because on democrats he would not have that change he had. E.g. what happened to Bernie. Would be no big surprise if he had come from the side and had messed their business plans along the way.
@@lilscottieme that is a ridiculous claim - there are reams of examples of blatant corruption in the courts - over many decades - if there are human beings and power involved, there is ALWAYS corruption to be found
You guys are spot on with most of the analysis, as usual. BUT, the claim that the election fraud claims were effectively dispensed with by the American court system is just a misunderstanding of the American legal process. Many of the cases were dismissed for procedural reasons and not "on the merits", which means the substantive claims and evidence were NOT litigated. Prosecuting a fraud case is no simple matter, even when the facts are mostly on your side, especially when it is across multiple jurisdictions, dealing with such a sensitive issue and over an almost impossibly short timeframe. Obviously the Trump campaign and others associated with it handled it BADLY with their rhetoric, which was mostly a reaction (which is not an excuse) to the Left's reprehensible behavior and rhetoric. The fact that the deck was so firmly stacked against Trump's reelection due to unprecedented election rule changes and incessant media misreporting and censorship (no conspiracy theory, just common sense and plain facts) likely made them feel like the only choice was to amp up the rhetoric to epic proportions and hope it buys them more time. That was a terrible decision. However, there is no use in pretending we know the validity of the fraud claims when virtually none of it was properly litigated.
These 2 are loving being in the mainstream spotlight now. they are now firmly establishment. They will do anything to throw Trump under the bus especially Douglas Murray. Their videos are auto queued for me all the time. The RUclips Deradicalisation Pipeline, moderate centrists like this are now embraced whereas before Joe Rogans interview with him got a strike for just featuring Murray. Murray is now a total sell-out (which is unsurprising given his UK establishment position), he's comfortable, his team are in power.. who cares if an election got stolen? If anyone thinks that the election wasn't stolen by the way... well I have a bridge to sell them. These two cant even contemplate that Trump had a better set of policies that benefitted the US overall and thats why he got record numbers of votes. The West is heading for war and these two 'hear no evil' 'see no evil' controlled opposition are playing a big, big role in creating the chasm. Murray is saying "Biden must ensure fair elections!" - Has he even heard of HR1? What a lying whore..
The greatest and most harmful rule change that took place (whether spoken or unspoken) was the sending of unsolicited mail-in ballots. This was effectively gerrymandering because the distribution of these letters across a map in a selective manner (whether intentional or not) would have the equivalent effect of changing the electoral constituency, especially in a pandemic environment. Without establishing intent, the courts would be unable to reverse anything and the scenario falls under the category of "unfortunate" or "inconvenient" event.
I am spellbound by the notion of having the courage "to trust the other". It resonates with Brenee Browns words about "daring greatly by showing up in the arena". May we all find the courage to speak the truth and risk being vulnerable and forgiving.
Interesting conversation. Most of which is good. Wanted to comment on the part of the legal challenges to the US election. The courts didn't throw out any of the cases that Trump himself brought (he didn't bring 90 cases, his team brought a round 5 or 6), all were thrown out on procedure, none were heard on the merits. The reason people on the right are so angry about the election was because the courts refused to hear any of the merits. Some of the larger number of cases brought by others, may have been heard, but my inderstanding is even the majority of those were not heard on the merits. So you have the situation where people do not feel that even the judiciary wouldn't hear the facts. Taken with the multiple irregularities seen on tape, tapes of them destroying ballots...which are supposed to be kept for 2 years, wiping voting machines etc. One of the places in Michigan, Anterim County, they did evaluate forensically, the Dominion machines and found a 68% error rate. The attorneys there were threatened by Michigan's attorney General Dana Nessel. Multiple other people such as Matt Braynard, did independent work showing that there were huge numbers of voter fraud across the country. This was all ignored and refused to be even heard by the courts. So let me ask you, what are people supposed to do under these circumstances? Not that Trump is correct, but people wanted to see the evidence heard in court, if they had , only the true radical right wingers would've continued to support what is happening. In my opinion anyhow
agree; and Sen Cruz's simple proposition to appoint a commission to look at the evidence was howled down; legal profession want him debarred, expelled from Senate, etc
I think the answer here is putting our noses to the grindstone and getting actual citizens into local office. Whether it is ourselves or people we run. We primary people, we get people into school boards and wherever. Actial citizens, people who don't want to be there and agree to do one term and step down, then we run someone else, as a civic duty. I believe what we're seeing is happening because we just walked away from our civic responsibility. Once done we branch out into the state and national levels
@@Lakoda26 how can you expext people to do that when they believe in their heart that he didn't win honestly, AND that he is going to undo everything Trump did that made them vote for him? Yup, we got a four year million dollar investigation into Trump at taxpayer expense based on information that Hillary paid for, and a rather large impeachment investigation based on an unsworn statement of a fiance of the daughter of a democrat congressman. @@kennyfernandez2866 Okay, the Supreme Court said the Texas suit had no standing because "One state cannot have standing on another state's election". Even though that is bull crap because we all have to live under the Biden administration.
@@kennyfernandez2866 not only did Tex et al clearlybhave standing... the constitution is crystal clear that the only court that could hear that case is the Supreme Court. The fact 20 state AGs signed off on it pretty much means SCOTUS had an obligation to hear it out respect for legal colleagues if nothing else.
Even worse, when they claim that anyone who questions their shady behavior should be labeled a white supremacist terrorist, and that you need to be deprogrammed, and any news outlet who disagrees with them should not be allowed to exist.
I said the same thing at that point. Many of the cases were denied simultaneously on standing and doctrine of latches - which if you address one you would be caught out on the other, basically a catch-22. If the courts had at least heard the cases on their merits then I might agree with them. Furthermore they are taking the view that what is happening with the 2020 election is the equivalent of 2016/Russiagate. It is not equivalent because the propents for that conspiracy theory got all the court hearings they wanted and more. However what we found from the Russiagate saga was that the institutions and the process was used as a political weapon and this exposed the corruption of the institutions we are supposed to trust. It's almost like they are projecting the wishful thinking that they are engaging in themselves. Perhaps they should talk to someone who actually understands the lawsuits and US legal/political history such as Robert Barnes.
The comments on this are as interesting as the interview and illustrate the wall between understanding. I'm not sure he understands that the majority of Trump voters did not go to the Capitol, nor did they storm it, nor condone it. The Capitol crowd illustrates what happens when an immense crowd show up without any leaders or shepherds to nip and bite, guard and protect from the negative influences and wolves. If there is anything to forgive, then, forgive being lead astray and used, influenced....human. There is nothing to forgive without a judge and judgement, otherwise there isn't a case and no forgiveness. The judges pre judged before the event, the "game." Imagine a game with set established known rules and the judges-referees intervene before the game to change those set rules which favors one team over the other due to their inherent strengths and weaknesses. Then, when the game is played by the new rules, and the referee-judges suddenly go silent and refuse to hear the cries and petitions, calling them petty and ignorant, unworthy. Ah, the poor idiot masses, they surely must be forgiven for being so ignorant as to believe their case even deserves a hearing, a judgement, be that an agreeable judgement or not. Even to be heard is to be acknowledged. Imagine having leaders who break the laws before the people's eyes as if that is a right of the privileged. They can march through the hallowed halls with illegal impeachment papers to impeach a leader who no longer leads, is gone. Impeachment is to remove a president in office from office, not to remove what is removed. Put horns and furs on these people and how are they different than any other fringe cult movement? Someone must ask these hard questions and wonder what and why being proper and polite while breaking the law is more civil than horns and furs. Why would the leaders keep the focus on the one they have deposed? Are they unable to see anything else and even they are an obsessed cult of followers unable to see anything else now, including their own elderly new leader? My hope is that the people wake up and see they have no leaders and must not follow a political cult, but must instead, be wiser and lead themselves on a personal and immediate community level. No one will save you. All have fallen short, even those who climbed and clawed their way to the top of the heap. The leaders do not walk among us, but stand afar looking down. Find leaders who walk among us, with us as shepherds. Do not be lead astray to tear down, burn, destroy, or accuse. Be judges, not accusers. Be innocent, not ignorant. Do not follow the examples of the figureheads, be better than them while being a mere human. Do not listen to their panic over seeing your face in public spaces, nor their panic over your contagious spirit which they call a virus.
What are you talking about? The crowd at the Capitol represents what American conservatives felt, that Pence betrayed us, just like most Republican reps. Anyone condemning the Capitol thing (literally a mostly peaceful protest) is a coward or a gatekeeping Lefty in disguise.
Unfortunately people in general do not want to listen to this type of conversation or what these men have to say because they'd realize how wrong they are and to make this world a better place. Thank you Jordan and Douglas
After reading the comments, there seems to be a fairly large group of people who believe that both Dr. Peterson and Douglas failed to not only get to the heart of why people voted for and supported Trump, but also consider the evidence his supporters say exists. Whether they want to believe it or not, should they not at least look at it? I propose that we politely tweet at Dr. Peterson and ask him to interview someone who does believe there were issues with the election. I would like to nominate Sargon of Akkad as someone to speak with. Sargon has covered the election and all the funny business extensively. Even if after the interview, Dr. Peterson is not convinced, AT LEAST he will have given the other side a fair shot. Edit. I see a lot of you mentioned some other candidates who you believe would be a better representative than Sargon for the side who believe there was election tampering . I will list a few here and hope that Dr. Peterson sees it. @Anabel Poe This is exactly the problem I am talking about. Just because you decide it does not exist does not mean it doesn't, or perhaps of equal importance, that there are many people who feel it does. Whether Dr. Peterson or Douglas believe it doesn't exist also does not matter. What I was suggesting was that they just speak to someone on the other side, allow them to present what they believe is evidence of wrong doing. Since Dr. Peterson has come back he has not spoken to anyone with a different opinion on the election or Donald Trump in general. I am not even an American and I think he is mischaracterizing why many people voted for Trump in the first place, and why they continue to support him. Again, I am not saying that everyone needs to be forced into agreement, I am only saying that a discussion between Dr. Peterson and someone like Carl Benjamin (Sargon) who does disagree would be beneficial and informative for everyone.

I love hearing these two talk! As they are discussing Trump though, they seem to be very hard on him. I am no Trumpist, but his policies have done so much good for issues such as the Pro life issue, peace in the Middle East, and coming down on China’s aggression worldwide. In the end, I as a conservative was not primarily motivated to vote for him because he hurt the left, but because he advanced policies that I wanted to see enacted.

When Dr. Peterson says he's had the courage "beaten out of" him, that hurt. He has a lot to offer intellectually, but I suppose we shouldn't expect him to actually DO anything any time soon. Of course, he's done much in the past to advance actual causes (like free speech), but the battle isn't over - and we're losing.

@@TheShootist Thats just not true. The supreme court case was brought by the state of Texas and signed by the AGs of nearly 20 other states. The supreme court is the ONLY court where a state can bring suit to another state. If there is no standing for Texas or the other states to address unconstitutional acts by other states which determine the president those states serve, there is no way to ever fix those problems. It means Texans (and 74 million other voters) have no say at all. And the voters within that state have to go through the same corrupt judiciary that put into place the very unconstitutional rules which allowed for interested parties to take advantage in the first place. There is no reasonable way to deny standing which is precisely why there was no statement save 2 lines saying nothing other than "we're not ruling on this." Theres no legitimate defense.

You are focus wrong on the election: Constitutionally only state legislatures are allowed to change election law. In core swing states the election law and process was changed by courts&governors to allow mail-in ballots to arrive after election. In Wisconsin this change was deemed illegal, and court cases are ongoing about it elsewhere. In addition to this most of the court cases was dismissed on standing, because the damage was not specific enough, and the evidence was not heard.
We had similar "irregularities" here in PA. Both our governor and his secretary of state authorized changes in procedure that are illegal under our current election laws, such as pushing deadlines back by accepted ballots mailed after Election Day. And when the case was brought to PA's supreme court, the justices refused to hear the case. Note that-this wasn't adjudicated, that is, the case wasn't tried and proven or disproven, they chose on procedural grounds not to hear it. There were also cases of out-and-out fraud, but there, too, the courts refused to hear the cases. These things need to be addressed before the next election.
@Picard sucks In swing states Biden had heavy losses except in 6 key Democratic cities where many counties had more than 100% and up to 700% of the registered voters participate in the election.
@@Jackson-dt7tz Wisconsin supreme court just ruled the law changes unconsitutional. I believe Pennsylvania supreme court did the same. They refused to remedy it for this election. 30 cases are still ongoing, so the case in the courts are not complete. On the discussion between Jordan and Douglas, the vast majority of the court decisions were not actually heard by the court, but dismissed because lack of standing. @@lesliehoskey5590 Very true that anything negative re: Biden was kept quiet. I've sincerely missed JP. Glad he is back. However... It is clear that neither of these men are US citizens. I do not think it is unreasonable to demand voter ids, purging of stale voter roles, and fully public auditability of elections. These things should be standard fare. Yet in the US, these things are either not consistent or available at all. "Trust but verify" is a saying with merit. In the age of data, data transparency should be paramount.
Another important aspect of voting which is clearly missed by all: voter behavior. Voter behavior varies greatly, marking ballots in the public with long established safeguards ref identification and anonymity, and marking them on kitchen tables with family or friends around them. The polling station by accident also pressed voters to behave more citizen like: with more integrity and sincerity. In addition mail voting is discriminatory as it demands a much higher degree of trust in governments and their operatives, which the small government voters tend to be lacking.
Exactly right. Like I wrote on the main board, even Amazon won't truck with mail-in voting when it comes to union formation. They want in-person voting. I wonder why.
Why did they not go to court? Perhaps because they didn't even meet the low evidentiary air of reality burden necessary before a full trial claim can commence kind of like a preliminary trial?
@@ChrisVanSlykeCVS no they were dismissed on standing, even constitutional scholar Allen dershowitz said that. It was a precedent that no state can sue another state for election fraud, period.
Or maybe judges are human, and believe they're avoiding chaos instead of denying justice. The framing is a bit off also, and that's partly Trump's fault. The real problem wasn't that the election was known to be stolen, but that the last-minute rule changes ruined any chance of confidence in the election. Even the Democrats were starting to build a case like that, in case they didn't win, only to reverse course after the election. Secondly, only the state legislatures are allowed to make rules for the election, according to the constitution's elector clause. Yet other parties, like judges and election boards, also made rules. The solution here would be to shore up confidence, with rules about observation, rule changes, and especially with after-election mail-in ballot counting.
I feel like things have already moved forward from when this was recorded. For the first time I didn't feel connected to either JP or DM. Same as when I listen to Bret Weinstein. All this talking, raising good ideas but the people in power aren't listening to them. It's that simple. They have no need to. On the US, from an outsider's perspective (and old fashioned liberal) I see asymmetric enforcement of laws and culture against the Right with the Left ala Portland and Seattle running wild for months at end without consequence; on twitter, beliefs that were common among everyone 5 yrs ago are now getting people banned; Biden's EOs. With Big Tech censorship and the rethoric from legacy media it's hard not to see that outwardly at least, the Democrats have no interest in listening to concerns from moderate conservatives, why so many voted for Trump. Better label them ists and phobes, silence them and remove them from the public sphere. I worry.
I got the sense this was Peterson and Murray distancing themselves from the more, uh, enthusiastic parts of the right wing. I understand why they would want to try and calm people down, but I can’t help but think its a bit of a cop out to say our institutions are strong, when not long ago the (factual) message was that they were being taken over by Marxist activists. A little disappointed after watching this one tbh.
I feel the same way. Also, and I completely understand that he had an excuse, JP seems to simply not be informed on a lot of the facts, events and general minutiae of the election, and the general state of even the "moderate" lefts systematic identitarian policies, or big tech's involvement, or Biden's mental issues and the fact that he's mostly a puppet. The only true moderates lie in a no-man's land between the Republican party and a new place, yet to be formed, framed around the constitution. Let me state, I think JP WILL get up to speed!

It was JBP who taught me to question whether the problem at hand is being formulated properly at precisely such times as this: When, after puzzling through their conception of what they've decided is a "paranoid conspiratorial thinking" problem, JBP and Murray attempt moving on to discuss solutions and struggle to so much as guess at where to start. What if the 75+% of Republicans *and* 30% of Democrats polled by Rasmussen as election-skeptical aren't *all* paranoid conspiracy theorists? What if our Government had a responsibility to hold a credible election, and to assuage concerns surrounding credible allegations with impartial investigations - and it failed to fulfil its duty? It's true enough that the solutions you'll come up with if you start to think about a serious Credibility problem are going to be more difficult to pursue than, say, merely bemoaning the ugliness of one man's habit of brashly saying uncomfortable things that half of us think. If you think about a Credibility problem, you might have to do more to solve it than just write a (curiously bipartisan) half of the country off as paranoid conspiracy theorists and beg them to stop being crazy. But it was a one Jordan B. Peterson who taught me that doing such thinking was worth it. And I plan to stick to it. p.s. I'm still probably going to buy Murray's book, even though he can take his not-so-subtle invitation for me to prostrate myself and beg forgiveness from his polite society at the end there and insert it firmly into his rectum.
Massively underrated comment. I think it's partially cowardice to be honest. They both have books, are smart and acutely aware of the dangers of even delving into a subject which has now become verboten in a disturbingly 1984 kind of way. Unfortunately Republicans were completely asleep at the wheel
I agree with the forgiveness argument, mostly because these days apologizing has no value. In fact apologizing is seen like an admittance of guilt, you will still be thrown out of society, and still looked down on, even when you did what they asked. All the while those who refuse to apologize and stand up for themselves seem to bounce back, and find a new society to operate in. I've seen this happen in smaller circles, and of course we see this online wit celebritets all the time.
Digging a little deeper on what went on with the election doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a conspiracy theorist- it means you’re looking at everything. I advise you both do just that.

With the evidence and discrepancies that are considered not a problem with the US election logically I would have to believe that the Russian and Iranian elections were also legitimate since the evidence is similar. That doesn't even approach the lack of transparency. Also I would love to see a list of court cases that looked at the evidence then ruled as apposed to dismissing on procedure. But you know that's just a conspiracy. ;-)
Agreed. I don't think anyone believes that Trump is perfect. Just because most of the GOP stood against his claim, doesn't mean the claim is wrong. And it doesn't mean that the GOP is corrupt either. It could simply mean that the GOP didn't want to go civil war over this. What would have happened if those laws suits went to discovery and full on investigation were initiated? No doubt more irregularities would surface. Enough to overturn the election? Possibly, but at great cost. Most likely Civil War. And the GOP didn't want to go there. The bottom line is that the allegations were never litigated. There is no claim of corruption necessary to understand that fact.

Forgiveness can be useful, sometimes noble, but can also be weak. It "covers all bases" in that regard.

Election fraud should have been dealt with by the legislatures, not the courts. It's clearly documented in spades.
Good comment.
To be fair, one man is Canadian and another from the UK. They seem to be unable to relate to a Trump supporter in anyway.
It also bothered me how they act like believing Trump won means you cannot accept that Biden is POTUS and/or wish him the best.
agree; and Sen Cruz's simple proposition to appoint a commission to look at the evidence was howled down; legal profession want him debarred, expelled from Senate, etc
Mr Murry, there was enough video evidence and shenanigans that make one side loose faith in the process. If the other person refuses to atleast hear your grievances and deny they could even possibly exist. That is a recipe for extreme strife.

Anyone who watched all those Senate hearings( I did) would be unable to say there was not enough evidence to justify a court investigation.
If JP had watched them he would not have used the phrase "Trump went down the stolen election narrative rabbit hole". It is no rabbit hole narrative. Watch the senate hearings if you won't do any of the data analysis yourself. The stolen election narritive is the pursuit of truth and justice. Starting with the data and looking at the evidence for yourself, you have no choice but to accept that the judicial system is corrupt from bottom to top. The events between Nov. 3, to Jan. 20, expose a disgusting amount of corruption. This is why "the right" is upset, not because of Trump. "The left" is upset because they are children being called out on their lies

Bingo.
Even worse, when they claim that anyone who questions their shady behavior should be labeled a white supremacist terrorist, and that you need to be deprogrammed, and any news outlet who disagrees with them should not be allowed to exist.
War is coming..
Look up the voting changes in HR1.
The courts dismissed almost all of the cases on technical issues, almost all dismissed on standing not hearing the evidence.
This is an important distinction
Thank you so much, Rosa.
And what about this one? Everyone follows him.
Kermit Frog What did the nationwide rioting over the summer demonstrate?

In core swing states the election law and process was changed by courts&governors to allow mail-in ballots to arrive after election. In Wisconsin this change was deemed illegal, and court cases are ongoing about it elsewhere. In addition to this most of the court cases was dismissed on standing, because the damage was not specific enough, and the evidence was not heard.
Tell em'
We had similar "irregularities" here in PA. Both our governor and his secretary of state authorized changes in procedure that are illegal under our current election laws, such as pushing deadlines back by accepted ballots mailed after Election Day. And when the case was brought to PA's supreme court, the justices refused to hear the case. Note that-this wasn't adjudicated, that is, the case wasn't tried and proven or disproven, they chose on procedural grounds not to hear it. I am shocked that these two would have forgotten that it is entirely possible for good men to do nothing. I'm not sure it is forgivable to forget that particular lesson of history.
Its incredible that you honestly see yourself and Trump as the victims. Trump lost the election when he said he wouldn't accept the result during the debates. The lessons of history say don't support the man who doesn't respect democracy!

I absolutely love you both and benefit greatly from you sharing your deep thoughts. Thank you to you both.
"Cause damage to the current political system"?
I say Good. That's why "we" put him in.
It's resentment. It kills. JP specializes in analysing such resentment-driven destructing patterns. You, good sir, are a part of the problem here
The cases never even got into court you guys keep talking past that
Lyndsay Graham asked the Trump team for evidence to use as ammunition against the left that the election stolen. They gave him one thing, that is all
Why did they not go to court?
The cases were dismissed on technicalities, *not* the merits.
JBP and Douglas Murray. A very excellent combination for podcasting!

@@dylan8487 so you all agree with their take that the election wasn’t stolen?
I love how Douglas always mentions the God sized hole we all have. The Atheists tried so hard to dismantle and push aside religion, but they didn’t take it any further, dismantling religion itself was the goal. They have widely succeeded in that aim too. We are seeing now how important it is for people to have something to believe in to give their lives meaning. What we are seeing today is people seeking meaning by subscribing to one ideology or another. It is not helpful. We need to find some common morals and values to move forward with. Some sorely needed common ground
I'm personally happier without religion but others are certainly better off for it. It is worth noting the different approaches of Sam Harris vs Dawkins (who has actually recently walked back his opinion on the idea that religion may act as a stabilising force for society).
@@warbler1984 that’s completely fine. It doesn’t have to be religion we move forward with. I think we are just seeing the void that religion filled being filled with other things.
@@jaredmello I agree, now en lieu of heaven after earth now we're being promised heaven on earth and getting something quite regressive
The problem comes with how different people interpret the religion. I’m agnostic and my best friend is Christian. But there’s some religious people that make a bad name for religious people. In my experience it’s a big percentage too.
@@imeleventeen there are absolutely some problems with dogmatic religion. Where all religion loses me is when they all say their way is the only right way. I think something like a 12 step program for Americans that focuses on spiritual principles and maybe some values the country can unite under.
It was JBP who taught me to question whether the problem at hand is being formulated properly at precisely such times as this:
When, after puzzling through their conception of what they've decided is a "paranoid conspiratorial thinking" problem, JBP and Murray attempt moving on to discuss solutions and struggle to so much as guess at where to start.
There is a good reason we do not allow mail in ballots in Europe. I think you hit the nail on the head, there was a duty of care to hold a credible election which was bi-partisan.
I advise you both do just that.
yeah Douglas calling people who actually paid attention to the court cases, legislative hearings, and evidence that wasn't allowed to be presented "conspiracy theorists" was really cringe.
Just showed Peterson is still timid towards adversity he even said as much... He's still in my top 10 favorite living intellectuals... What the hell is this trust/courage/vaccine sound's like he's grasping for an easy fix to this overhyped pandemic b. s.
Painful to watch these two great thinkers speaking in such a flatly ignorant way about the electoral fraud.
First time I even had to turn either of these two off. I watch for years as Republicans tried to lead by being nice only to have their heads handed to them over and over again.
