Yeah, but nobody has an accent until you move a couple of miles from the village or small town that you grew up in. I get comments now, as although i live in Derby now, i grew up in Kent. Hi Heidi and Bonnie. We stayed near Acton in July in a cottage near Minshull, loved it as we had access to the Canal and experienced our first floating Market at Audlem. Had Pizza from the Pizza boat and say a blacksmith boat. We commented on the different Accents as we travelled about, Welsh, Scouse, Manch, and Staffs, as we travelled up from Zummerzet, our accents stuck out somewhat. Canals are different experience for us so nice to see so many boats. Like so many Pirates we speak with plenty of Oh Arrrrs down here in South Somerset, keep up the good work.
Heidi and Bonnie, it is so wonderful to see you once a week. Your videos really allow me to relax after a week of work. Just seeing you live your life the way you do, cruising along and adventures you are having is wonderful and relaxing. Thank you. You are a breath of fresh air!
I'm from the USA where we have many accents. While working in London I had trouble at first understanding people until I realized they were dropping their T's and sometimes H's. So "that" came out as "Thah" and "little" came out as "li-ul" for example. As for the Scotts, I never could get used to their accent.
I just watched a previous video and discovered you were a teacher and you mentioned music. I was an Elementary Music Specialist for 32 years . I taught grade 2-8 homeroom, music Drama , Visual Arts, on rotary. Some how you can sense a teacher’s spirit and I got that from you the first video I watched . I’ve been on a Narrowboat holiday on the River Ouse beginning in Ely. Fabulous time. I just find it amazing you do it on your own.
Hi Heidi, Great to get extra security. Good to speak to you at the cafe this week. Hope you had a good day on the best canal❤ Should have invited you for a cuppa on my boat. But I'm aware your so busy with viewers. Perhaps next time, go on stay in the area abit😊 X🐰x
Thanks Lovely Heidi, for taking us along on this lovely and sunny cruise with you and Bonny who is doing really well. She really loves being with you whilst steering the Pirate Ship, beautiful. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Nice to know that you are a fellow Cheshire cat. I come from Macclesfield near the Derbyshire border. I know you like the Macclesfield canal. Used to canoe on it when I was at the High School. Keep safe in the storm and thanks for another great video. Cheers
Hey Heidi, ....wind, boats popping from around the corner, narrow canals, shallow water, boats coming up your rear 😲.... you're a woman who knows how to handle a tiller! If I had a narrow boat, you could handle my tiller anytime! 😁 Ok, go ahead and be rude.... 😂🤣 Thanks for another one. Take care.
You asked us to say where our accents were from and I forgot to answer. My accent originally is from South East London aka sowf eas Lunun. When I was 11 we moved to the far north of England Northampton. Well we thought it was the far north. No one there could understand me and I couldn't understand them either. Over the years of working overseas I had to change the way I spoke a lot. But still to this day if I meet a fellow Londoner I go right back to the original accent and no one other than the Londoner can understand me.
I really love your videos and i just love your personality. This is just a little mini funny poem just for you. Rum rum tickle my tum, Rum rum giggle my bum, Rum rum run mum run Rum rum yum yum yum. Rum rum a private life for me. I really do love your videos I hope that one day I could meet you in person. I hope you and bonnie are both ok and doing well. 😊
Hi Heidi & sweet little girl Bonnie 👋💞 I'm from the West Yorkshire village of Ackworth which I'm told used to be in the Guinness world records for biggest village in England growing up in the 70's ..Always got labeled as coming from Ba-rnsley even tho that town is in South Yorkshire 15 mile's away ..My old dad was a Pontey lad (Pontefract) where licorice cake's are famously made ..Well he had many interesting saying dialect wise one such being - " He can't arf hop the twig "! Meaning - very light on his feet ! I find myself saying dad's Yorkshire ditties from time to time myself nar (now) ..Nice to keep em alive past darn from each generation ..By the way Heidi you look like you've lost weight don't be disappearing lass ❤ ..Take care 😊
I meant your looking very well Heidi I'm envious of your lifestyle .. Look's so chilled & stress free ..Good for you taking that giant step to a happier more for filing & meaningful life ..❤
Hi Heidi I'm from Australia and we say G'day to say hello. I love your life and your beautiful scenery, it's like I go on a holiday every week, G'day to Bonnie xx
I didn't know the blacksmith fitted locks , interesting ! Can't believe I missed ya , i moor nr there ... Ya awrate luv ( Huddersfield way ) I tell thee.. Enjoy ya chug 😇 Hopwas has beautiful doggie walks 😉
Bonnies coming on nicely , and your back passage is secure after the blacksmith stopped banging away and making your boat rock . Tight isnt it , the coventry , ive been up there and lurked in the area for a while . Great video . 👍🇬🇧
It won't be long before you have Bonny trained to operate the locks to help :) Another great weekly vlog, Thank you! Heidi talks about her big bottom, But it doesn’t look big to me. She talks about blacking her bottom, But no black do I see. She lube’s up her Lister, she cleans her Weed Hatch, So many tasks to be done….. But at the end of the day, When she’s all moored to stay, It’s in the Rear Entrance for RUM! (Craig from Tennessee, USA)
We have minor my unnoticeable dialect differences here in NZ with the exception from whence I come...Southland...we we roll our "R" s. Purrrrple. I found out when I retraced my roots years ago travelling Wiltshire, Aberdare and the Ashkirk on the Borders and found the origins of the rolled R. The Borders..many Borderers emigrated to Southland NZ..the land is rolling green just like 'home '
Hi Heidi, I’m from West Yorkshire and proud to be a northerner. I live a couple of minutes from the Rochdale canal where we walk our dogs everyday. For some reason I don’t think the Rochdale has not been as busy this summer with boaters. I know not why. Loving little Bonnie.
I'm from Dutton just dwn the road,I often see many boaters when I'm fishing the river weaver or the Trent& mersey then pop in the liegh arms or hollybush for a "Tipple"..and a chat with the locals..👍
Love that you show us the beautiful countryside and historical information. Very educational learning about the historical sites.

Nice to know that you are a fellow Cheshire cat. I come from Macclesfield near the Derbyshire border. I know you like the Macclesfield canal. Used to canoe on it when I was at the High School.
Keep safe in the storm and thanks for another great video. Cheers
Thank you 😄🏴☠️❤️ I love Macc 😄🏴☠️
great stuff
Hey Heidi, ....wind, boats popping from around the corner, narrow canals, shallow water, boats coming up your rear 😲.... you're a woman who knows how to handle a tiller! If I had a narrow boat, you could handle my tiller anytime! 😁 Ok, go ahead and be rude.... 😂🤣 Thanks for another one. Take care.
😂😂
As a Brummie that ‘Alright there bab’ wasn’t half bad 👍👍
😂😂😂
You asked us to say where our accents were from and I forgot to answer. My accent originally is from South East London aka sowf eas Lunun. When I was 11 we moved to the far north of England Northampton. Well we thought it was the far north. No one there could understand me and I couldn't understand them either. Over the years of working overseas I had to change the way I spoke a lot. But still to this day if I meet a fellow Londoner I go right back to the original accent and no one other than the Londoner can understand me.
Thank you for reading our ditty😊, we are Geordie ,whey I man! Carrie and Michael

Another great weekly vlog, Thank you!
Heidi talks about her big bottom,
But it doesn’t look big to me.
She talks about blacking her bottom,
But no black do I see.
She lube’s up her Lister, she cleans her Weed Hatch,
So many tasks to be done…..
But at the end of the day, When she’s all moored to stay,
It’s in the Rear Entrance for RUM!
(Craig from Tennessee, USA)
Fabulous 😃❤️🏴☠️

I think we share accents, I was born in Stockport and lived in High Lane, near Marple.
We used to canoe down the canals all the time.
It was very quiet when I went on it in 2021 there not much movement between Littleborough and Manchester
Lucky little Bonnie xx what a fantastic life
I like when your hair is punked up❣️
That's the reason for watching your videos, coming from mid Cheshire myself
Awww fabulous 😄🏴☠️
I'm from Wolverhampton so I have the West Midlands accent.
Bonnie didn't mind the locks by the looks of it.
I'm from Dutton just dwn the road,I often see many boaters when I'm fishing the river weaver or the Trent& mersey then pop in the liegh arms or hollybush for a "Tipple"..and a chat with the locals..👍
Aww fabulous they were pubs I drank in as a teenager 😂🏴☠️
