But Pravinder Ji, you curated and executed this video very professionally. Also many thanks to Shri Vikrant ji for bringing forth such marvels. I thoroughly enjoyed many great comments already done by other respected Radio Listeners here and commenting any further would be similar to showing Oil Lamp to the Sun. There are many insights that I learned from your review though. RCA, Mono to Stereo and vice versa for FM, Antenna and its Impedance, RF Gain Control for AM Bands, Low Pass Filter (Which I initially thought a loose version of Bandwidth Filter!) and plethora. A feature packed Video Review for a Feature Packed Radio. Hats off! Also, one more thing I would like to share with you Sir. This afternoon, I received two Air Mail envelopes holding QSL Post Cards from Bangladesh Betar and NHK World Japan. Congratulations , you have a premium Tecsun with many abilities , especially for antenna connexions . If you like listening to AM and SW , buy vintage radios from the sixties seventies and eighties , they are good to catch difficult stations . I dream to own a Sony CF150 or Panasonic RF5000 , they are vintage treasures .

Dear Preavinder Ji, Great episode on the Tecsun BCL-3000. You have enumerated all its controls and features very nicely and in great detail. THESE analog radio series are the same radios with different brand names, may it be Tecsun/ Eton/ Grundig or named after any other brand. These are one of the finest radios with good selectivity, sensitivity and filled with lots of useful features. As I had already mentioned in the first episode, I have the Grundig S350DL (gifted to me), I can now compare the two radios (i.e. the BCL-3000 & S350DL). You mentioned about frequency drift on the BCL-3000. This should not happen with the BCL-3000 as the BCL-3000 is an advanced version of BCL-2000 (just like the Grundig S350 and S350DL), wherein the problem of frequency drift and few other issues were taken care of; as in Grundig's S350DL. I must say that, in the 20 Minute episode, you have done full justice to the BCL-3000. IMO, its one of the finest analog radio one can own and be proud of. The sound quality is par-excellence. A special THANK YOU to Shri. Vikrant Shukla Ji for providing his radios for all the viewers to see and judge. Thanks so very much Narendra ji. Yet again a great comment and inspiring for the channel too. First things first, I didn't get enough time in the video to explain the Frequency Drift problem in detail as Video got longer than 20 minutes. It doesn't show frequency drift in the usual way as International Reviewers usually report. I tuned it on SW band on some frequency to listen to the BBC, and slowly it changed to a frequency 5 kHz less than it and the Radio tuned some other station. It was very surprising for me as such a quick frequency drift was unexpected. Then I realised that there is some issue with the band selector switch and the tuning wheel as well. Pressing the band switch a little (not changing the band though), makes the frequency stay fixed. And it was some mechanical pressure on the tuning wheel which was changing it. As I got used to the Radio and learnt how to press and adjust the band switch and tuning wheel; the drift problem was gone. Thanks so very much for kind appreciation and constant encouragement. I tried to do the justice to the Radio and thanks for liking the effort. Long Live the Radio.
@@pravindersheoran Dear Pravinder Ji, IMO, the Tecsun S-3000 needs servicing of the band switch - Simple cleaning of contacts by removing any dirt/oxide. Almost all radios that has an analog volume control, band switch and tuning capacitor, start to behave erratically after a few years of use/disuse/misuse. This is a very common problem with most analog radios. These three components needs serving as and when an issue arises. In my own experience, the Band Switch is the biggest culprit of all, it causes connectivity problem, followed by the volume control (causing scratchy noise & sound volume problem) and lastly the tuning capacitor (will work partially on a particular band). Also you will agree with me that these three components in any radio are the most used/abused components. In those good old days servicing was quite easy and quick. We used to put 2 to 3 drops of Kerosene and move the switch/knob vigorously for a about 30 to 40 seconds. That would mostly solve the issue/problem. Never use oil &/or petrol as this will eat away the plastic. Also oil will cause electrical connectivity issue being a nonconductor. I would still recommend Kerosene as a contact cleansing liquid (as against those many modern contact cleaners available on the market). Just MY 2 Paisa worth of advise. And hope that helps. Kind regards, Narendra P.S. In one of the episode, for vintage radios I had suggested to replace all electrolytic capacitors when a radio goes dead. After that, one may resort to fault finding. Capacitors are not expensive and thus can be replaced cheaply.

Nice video Parvinderji. When I was searching about the best selectivety FM radio then many radio enthusiastics praise Sangean PR-D 12. But this is not available in Amazon India. However Sangean PR-D 19 is available here on about 11k. Reviews of D-19 is also good. If somehow available these monsters then please upload their reviews for FM lovers. Thanks again.

Itna pyara aavishkar jo sirf Charging ke alawa koi or subscription fee nhi leta...kahin bhi chal jata hai....usko jeevit rakhna hai..
@@niladrimukherjee2098 ji, although I appreciate ssb a lot, yet I don't consider it a 'must' feature. Only hardcore SW enthusiasts would demand it; or else for general public this Radio has more features than they could ever ask for.
Sheoran ji with so few SW stations remaing and with the interferences Shortwaves have to pass through, listening to HAM is of great interst to me . Of course Radio China is occupying most of the " land" of SW bands , it is of least interest to me .I'd rather make some Chinese food at home than listen to the rubbish of Radio China. I must tell you my XHDATA is ok now as the sudden drop in volume was caused by the batteries which were exhausting themselves but I have nevervfaced this in my analogue radios. And I received Radio China on MW yesterday in the afternoon.
@@niladrimukherjee2098 ji, oh ok, I got now what problem you were facing. And that must be on MW. DSP Radios don't operate well when cells go weaker. Regarding SW being filled with Chinese broadcasts; Mr. Harshit Joshi ji (a dear viewer from this channel) and I have been working hard to break this myth that there is nothing on SW to tune to. I thoroughly enjoyed many great comments already done by other respected Radio Listeners here and commenting any further would be similar to showing Oil Lamp to the Sun.
There are many insights that I learned from your review though. RCA, Mono to Stereo and vice versa for FM, Antenna and its Impedance, RF Gain Control for AM Bands, Low Pass Filter (Which I initially thought a loose version of Bandwidth Filter!) and plethora. A feature packed Video Review for a Feature Packed Radio. Hats off!
Also, one more thing I would like to share with you Sir. This afternoon, I received two Air Mail envelopes holding QSL Post Cards from Bangladesh Betar and NHK World Japan. Both stations appreciated my Station Reception Reports from December 2023 and January 2024. 73! 😄🙏

Congratulations , you have a premium Tecsun with many abilities , especially for antenna connexions . If you like listening to AM and SW , buy vintage radios from the sixties seventies and eighties , they are good to catch difficult stations . Dear Preavinder Ji,
Great episode on the Tecsun BCL-3000. You have enumerated all its controls and features very nicely and in great detail. THESE analog radio series are the same radios with different brand names, may it be Tecsun/ Eton/ Grundig or named after any other brand. These are one of the finest radios with good selectivity, sensitivity and filled with lots of useful features. As I had already mentioned in the first episode, I have the Grundig S350DL (gifted to me), I can now compare the two radios (i.e. the BCL-3000 & S350DL).
You mentioned about frequency drift on the BCL-3000. This should not happen with the BCL-3000 as the BCL-3000 is an advanced version of BCL-2000 (just like the Grundig S350 and S350DL), wherein the problem of frequency drift and few other issues were taken care of; as in Grundig's S350DL.
I must say that, in the 20 Minute episode, you have done full justice to the BCL-3000. IMO, its one of the finest analog radio one can own and be proud of. The sound quality is par-excellence.

First things first, I didn't get enough time in the video to explain the Frequency Drift problem in detail as Video got longer than 20 minutes.
It doesn't show frequency drift in the usual way as International Reviewers usually report.
I tuned it on SW band on some frequency to listen to the BBC, and slowly it changed to a frequency 5 kHz less than it and the Radio tuned some other station.
It was very surprising for me as such a quick frequency drift was unexpected. Then I realised that there is some issue with the band selector switch and the tuning wheel as well. Pressing the band switch a little (not changing the band though), makes the frequency stay fixed. And it was some mechanical pressure on the tuning wheel which was changing it.
As I got used to the Radio and learnt how to press and adjust the band switch and tuning wheel; the drift problem was gone.

Dear Pravinder Ji,
IMO, the Tecsun S-3000 needs servicing of the band switch - Simple cleaning of contacts by removing any dirt/oxide.
Almost all radios that has an analog volume control, band switch and tuning capacitor, start to behave erratically after a few years of use/disuse/misuse. This is a very common problem with most analog radios. These three components needs serving as and when an issue arises. In my own experience, the Band Switch is the biggest culprit of all, it causes connectivity problem, followed by the volume control (causing scratchy noise & sound volume problem) and lastly the tuning capacitor (will work partially on a particular band). Also you will agree with me that these three components in any radio are the most used/abused components.
In those good old days servicing was quite easy and quick. We used to put 2 to 3 drops of Kerosene and move the switch/knob vigorously for a about 30 to 40 seconds. That would mostly solve the issue/problem. Never use oil &/or petrol as this will eat away the plastic. Also oil will cause electrical connectivity issue being a nonconductor. I would still recommend Kerosene as a contact cleansing liquid (as against those many modern contact cleaners available on the market).
Just MY 2 Paisa worth of advise. And hope that helps.

P.S. In one of the episode, for vintage radios I had suggested to replace all electrolytic capacitors when a radio goes dead. After that, one may resort to fault finding. Capacitors are not expensive and thus can be replaced cheaply.

This is an important feature that is missing. In days gone by SSB was achieved by the fine tuning Knob.
@@niladrimukherjee2098 ji, although I appreciate ssb a lot, yet I don't consider it a 'must' feature. Only hardcore SW enthusiasts would demand it; or else for general public this Radio has more features than they could ever ask for.
Sheoran ji with so few SW stations remaing and with the interferences Shortwaves have to pass through, listening to HAM is of great interst to me . Of course Radio China is occupying most of the " land" of SW bands , it is of least interest to me .I'd rather make some Chinese food at home than listen to the rubbish of Radio China. I must tell you my XHDATA is ok now as the sudden drop in volume was caused by the batteries which were exhausting themselves but I have nevervfaced this in my analogue radios. And I received Radio China on MW yesterday in the afternoon.
@@niladrimukherjee2098 ji, oh ok, I got now what problem you were facing. And that must be on MW. DSP Radios don't operate well when cells go weaker.
Regarding SW being filled with Chinese broadcasts; Mr. Harshit Joshi ji (a dear viewer from this channel) and I have been working hard to break this myth that there is nothing on SW to tune to.
