Nice. Please keep us updated with that fault, needless to say that cooled down *a*lot* my interest for that ebike, wasn’t expecting at all for the price
Great video. I bought a G3C after hiring an e bike on the Île de Ré last year. I chose the Gocycle after a bit of research as it seemed high tech and well built. The ergonomics of the bike are superb but I have had problems with the motor not kicking in and I am awaiting a first service. I also have a clunky second gear. At the price the after sales needs to be better( I live in rural France ).
Good to hear. I think with the latest price increases, they now include mudguards and lights! They have always been optional extras on all previous models of GoCycle which is a joke, considering that this is meant to be an urban commuter bike. Even if you, as the owner do not want the mudguards or lights, they should still come with the bike at these prices, and then the choice is yours if you fit them or not. MM
Same here! My office is minutes away from London Bridge and I was all for popping in on my way home but the last 20 seconds of that video had made me think twice..
I am due to pick up mine on Tuesday from FC s you did! Did they diagnose your problem and how long will you be without bike for?? Thsnks for the vids... Nicely done!
Fully Charged have been excellent. Bike returned to me within 1 week. Not 100% sure bike is fully back to normal. New noise now? But has seemed to improve over time. Have been hampered by the weather which has been terrible last few days so not been able to go out for a longer ride. Will keep you posted. Bearing issue was diagnosed. MM
How have you got on with the charging port rubber bung cover? Does yours stay seated in hole after charging or like mine pops out? I think it might be an issue if riding in wet weather as water could get into battery 🔋 area! Any thoughts 💭 appreciated…
Hi Phil. You just prompted me to go and have a look at mine. Have just been out for a 3 hour ride today all over Cardiff. The charge port bung was still seated nicely. But it does seem looser than it was. And I did notice it was hanging loose/open last week but I just thought I must have not replaced the bung properly! Will mention it when I take it back to Fully Charged for its first service (500 miles). On about 450 miles at present. MM
@@markymarkreviews thanks for checking Mark & can you update on here after service please? I live in N. Devon & bought mine a few weeks ago via Fully Charged Liskeard, Cornwall sub dealer as nearest to me! I’ve mentioned this issue to him & I think he’s getting a free replacement via head office in London Bridge shop. Mind you I’ve heard from other owners that have same issue & replacement didn’t sort it, so could be a design flaw GoCycle need to fix!
What lock / locks do you use when parking this? I know Gocycle sell a folding lock and carrier but is that enough I wonder? Do you need another lock too?
I don’t own a lock. If I go anywhere, I just take it inside with me. One of the main reasons I bought a compact 16” wheel folding e-bike. Bike theft is an epidemic in the UK. And many bikes are very expensive nowadays. Does not seem to matter what lock you buy, the thieves will bring the tools, such as axle grinders to cut through them. Police don’t seem interested either. And as no real punishment for bike theft, it seems to go on un-abated. MM
@@markymarkreviews Agree. It would be nice if local councils made more monitored secure cages around towns and cities to encourage people to bring their bikes out. Not always possible to bring a bike indoors with you. I would even pay a small annual fee if it was run well
I am based in the UK. Was set up for the N. American market from the shop I bought it from. But this can be changed in the app at any time depending on your local laws and regulations/speed limits etc. MM
Only 'pedelecs' are currently road legal in the UK. All those other folk that were not pedelling and using 'twist-and-go' (aftermarket 'hacks') could have their bike impounded (like the current MET Police action targeting illegal (non-rental) escooters - those will be destroyed, owners don't get them back).
I’m a 6’3” physically fit guy. I weigh about 93-95kg. The fact that this is edging to the limit of this bike is ridiculous. Add to that, the fact that you can buy a moped or a second hand car for less than this, makes the Gocycle an impossible purchase

Just bought this bike yesterday, it came with all the accessories included.

That fault is really screwing with me… I’m so close to buying this bike, but at that price I want zero concerns.
Part 3 going up soon.

Hi Helen. Faulty rear bearing. See my Part 3 update.

Agreed. 👍
How do you get the display you have on your phone, mine has smaller icons rather than a large icon like yours showing your speed etc
Turn it on its side. Make sure you don’t have the tilt lock on your phone.
Looked a bit like the path in Thornhill. Also the bike is much cheaper direct from the manufacturer in China on Alibaba.
Are you setup to UK or USA?

i need one! but i cant afford it. any advice how to obtain on for a lower cost?
Ebay, older models
Thanks!!!

very unlikely to say the least. also throttles are legal on bikes older than 2015.
Because we are all being stripped of our rights as these socialists take over.
Horrible smartphone fixation 😒😩🙈. At this price they could have made an effort for a more correct equipment ...
