I love the old school style jackets. My son where’s the same one. I have passing link triple vent. The piping is reflective. The old saying goes “buy once, cry once”
There are a few out there that make that traditional biker jacket with armor. Foxcreek comes to mind but at a hefty price point. www.foxcreekleather.com/mens-classic-motorcycle-jacket-i/ The passing Link Triple Vent is a damn good jacket, wise choice. Thanks for watching Jrod.
I bought my leather jacket 10 years ago. It is made by British Motorcycle Gear. It came with shoulder and elbow pads. The pad for the back was extra. With the removable liner I use it 365. The BMG Montana jacket is a quality piece and it has served me well over the past decade. And I ride a Harley Davidson!!
I have had mine over 10 years. You will like it. But you are correct not a summer jacket, no vent zips. It is loose enough for my electric liner under it. It distresses well.
The Victory Lane jacket? I had no idea they had been out that long! Heated gear is a must have here in the east. Thanks for watching and commenting. Eric
Thank you for the kind words. When I look back at this video, only I can turn a jacket review into a 17 minute long video. I really need to work on brevity.all the best. Eric
Sweet jackets! I love your old school one. I had a couple of jackets from a NYC-based company called First Manufacturing, their stuff is also imported but the quality is really good and for me, the fit is amazing.
nice honest review of the Harley Victory Lane! ...just needs 'Reflective' Stripes On It!...Great It has 'pockets' for Armour TOO!!!!! Safety #1... In My Books!...Cheers from Canada!
I still have a Wilson bomber jacket that I purchased in 1985, and it is in pretty rough shape, but it is still useful, it does not have any armour, but it is thick leather. I do have a REVIT! Vapor jacket and gloves that were donated to me this year for getting me closer to riding again. I am just currently acquiring the funds to get my next bike.
I bought that exact same jacket back in October. I love the look of them. I first saw the jacket while watching Million Dollar Bogan. I get compliments while wearing it because it looks great. I’m 5’9” and 215. My wing span is 6’1” with wide shoulders. Shirts and jackets are tough to find for gorilla shaped people like me😂 my XL fits perfect! I’m going to order the armor from that website. Thank you for the info! Now I need to find a summer riding jacket.
Above 80f I wear the HD MEN'S METONGA SWITCHBACK LITE RIDING JACKET. It is super vented with 5 armor pockets and is good looking with some hi-vis orange.
I do prefer the traditional biker jacket, but I'm in my 40s so between the biker and metalhead look that's why. I just wish more brands would make that style with armor. There are a couple available I think.
There are a few out there Foxcreek makes one that's more than rather pricey. www.foxcreekleather.com/mens-classic-motorcycle-jacket-i/ Thanks for watching and commenting David. Eric
@@KrakensGarageandAdventures thanks for the link. Yeah it's pricey. Still even though I like the style, it may be silly looking wearing one on my dual sport or Grom Clone.
Good videos mate. Maybe could you edit the video description about the mistake about the back armour? I just spent $$ ordering it ($175) in Australia while watching your video… then watched your next video about the mistake… but too late then😂
@hillbillyengineering01 Damn, I'm mighty sorry about that. I bought some mesh material and sewed in a pocked for the back armor. I love this jacket and hands down, the best-looking jacket HD offers. Eric
@hillbillyengineering01 Not yet, I'll get on it. I wad just in Australia last November to meet uo with a bunch of RUclipsrs. There are 3 videos on that trip. Sydney, Cairns, and Perth.
I love this jacket. But I worry about the hot weather. No body can let me know about this weather. I doubt is this jacket is useful for temp around 86 f.
@@KrakensGarageandAdventures Thk a lot for you honest answer. But this answer break my heart. I find another model and they have tripe vent. but no sure is enough for 86 f. Rhk u again fr this channel.
Agreed, I wasn't stating that as a negative. My supervisor old jacket is made in Pakistan and has stood the test of time. More a care of something I do when installing parts is point out thr country of origin. Darn good jacket and highly recommend. Eric
Sir the jacket at 0:32 is superb. Complete Marlon Brando Vibes. Are you giving it away ? I am finishing college now and getting my first bike. 😃😃. Great Collection sir
N.G. I'm sorry mate. I'm not ready to part with it yet. Check out firstmfg.com they have a very simular jacket at a fair price. They'll have a good sale on them over black Friday. Like 20 to 30% off. Congrats on finishing college! The world is your oyster now. Please send me a pic when you get your first bike. Eric
Awesome stuff. A new jacket is on my short list since my fat ass outgrew (got fatter) my custom one piece riding suit by adolf at z leathers. I’m gonna have to start lookin for somethin new real soon.
Great jacket but poor review 👎👎👎👎👎👎 Should be showing full front and backsides of the jacket on yourself with some jeans like Levi’s. Part 2 review is in order
Looks like HD is out of stock or they moved on to the Victory II jacket, significantly more in price. I’m with you on made in America but the capitalist system we love and support does not stop at our borders. In fact, nowhere in the capitalist definition does it say made in America. It’s just a reality that capitalism knows no boundaries because it’s about profit margins. The cheaper the cost for labor and materials to manufacture a product the greater the profit margins are for a business.
As an old customer of HD's, u 100% correct, as the old vs new jacket comparison kind of shows it. Globalization does lace the pockets of many big companies, but at the expense of corporate America. You'll laugh but I had to look twice at your reply as my last name is Johnson and a few of my friends call me Big Johnson as a joke. Happy New Year to you and your family. Eric
Thanks for taking the time out to share! Keep that shiny side ✌️

I'll see what I can do. I was out riding yesterday with it.

Lmao "the OG" one. I guess I am OG. 😂
Great looking jacket!
Thank you Mark!

Had my eye on this jacket for years. Now that I lost weight, it’s time
It really is a great jacket and has no signs of wear after many uses. I cannot recommend it it enough. Enjoy your new jacket. Eric

90% of all leather jackets are made outside of the U.S. All HD jackets, shirts, boots, pants , goves, and hats are made outside the U.S.
