    Both of them are badass
    Garcian for just casually pulling the trigger everytime
    Benjamin for actually having the guts to fire, knowing he was essentially killing himself

    • @titusfortunus2916
      @titusfortunus2916 3 года назад +113

      Garcian saw him put the bullet in the first chamber, then he heard the chamber click 6 times. Truth is, game was rigged from the start. Either Ben kills himself first bullet if it's a 6 shooter, or kills himself last bullet if it's a 7 shooter

      @@titusfortunus2916 Why did Ben use a 7 shooter anyway, basically rigging HIMSELF. Oh wait nvm I get it; he's trying to keep himself safe by making it a 7 shooter.

      @brettzforeman Год назад +44

      @@federalcasemaker Ben did not rig the game, he was playing for real and depending on luck. He knew the gun was a 7 shooter, but not which chamber the bullet was in. That's why he had a panicked outburst before every trigger pull.
      Garcian is a legendary professional assassin who just knows how many shots almost any gun will fire, so he saw the bullet go in chamber 1, heard six clicks, and knew it would go off on the first shot or the seventh. He was not in danger, hence being able to pull the trigger as casually as if he were summoning an elevator.
      Ben knew after his third trigger pull that 5/7 chambers were exhausted, and that one of the next TWO shots had to be fatal. Garcian knew which, but he did not. So he tried bluffing as if it was a six-shooter in hopes that Garcian would accept defeat instead of pulling the trigger again. Hence: "I'm a professional. You can't fool me, old man."

      @@brettzforemanI like that Ben goes through with pulling the bullet on himself. By his own words, “it takes more luck than this game to run a country” so he knew he would end up even worse otherwise.

      The gameplay is the weirdest and most interesting part of the game. It's a survivla horror rail shooter adventure game and the way some of the design decisions feel absurd and counterintuitive helps elevate the tone of the story. If it was just a generic 2005 FPS the story and style of the game would suffer.

    I like how Keane's body language is actually apprehensive the moment he 'wins'
    He knows he's (essentially) lying about it being a six-chamber revolver as is customary, but it could also be two more things - he knows the kind of man Garcian is already and is unsure if Garcian will just kill him(he would've, and still could've kept the deal afterwards anyways) or the possibility that Garcian would just up and honor the agreement immediately.

      Ordinarily, I'd say the goal was for him to accept defeat rather than fire what he was supposed to think was the last chamber. However, in THIS game it would hardly be that character's first gunshot to the head, so it's not ridiculous to think he could "lose," the game and still cover the bet.

  • @RevidCargian
    @RevidCargian 12 лет назад +8

    They were likely thumbing you down over your "can't fulfill the bet" comment. Keane certainly could even if he lost, as he just needs to tell Garcian the secret before shooting himself. Garcian, well... that's all part of the story, isn't it? How he's there during the games' timeframe, even though it seems like he was around well before the games' events when he realistically shouldn't have been, and how he'll likely be around even if he shoots himself? It all works out, even if it seems off.

    One thing has always bugged me (well, that’s probably not true, there are likely a myriad of questions I still have, lol): If every president came directly from this secret government school for future presidents, why was the UN Party a major threat to the upcoming election if every election in American history was a mock-up sideshow for the public?

    Whoooooooops.

    • @KOTYAR0
      @KOTYAR0 8 лет назад

      what is line of axis?

    • @FinalGamerJames
      @FinalGamerJames 8 лет назад +63

      +KOTYAR0 It's a rule in moviemaking, the line of axis is keeping the shot of two people talking in a scene always on the left and right, with the camera aiming in the middle between them.
      Usually the camera is focusing on the space between the two people talking, so you can focus easily on the person to your left and right. It's a trick they use to make dialogue cutscenes easy to watch for the average viewer.
      Sometimes, like here, they intentionally disrupt the line of axis in order to make the scene look rather strange or offputting, you usually see it happen when in movies people are meeting a dangerous or unstable person, so you feel uneasy.
      Just one of those odd tricks of the trade in moviemaking.

      I'm not an expert in cinematography, but I can't help but feel like it adds to the scene. Killer 7 is a jarring, batshit story, and I wouldn't be shocked, if breaking the 180 rule was a deliberate decision.
      Or, they had an amateur directing this. Ya got me.
