  • As advances ultra-precision technologies such as optical and electron microscopy, lithography, spectrometry, and many more applications pursue ever-finer resolution, mechanical vibration becomes an increasingly important limiting factor in achievable instrument performance. Combining isolation systems by stacking them and forming two-stage systems can be an effective way to achieve exceptional vibration isolation performance, but such complex systems do not come without challenges. This webinar will review the architecture, transfer functions and feedback control characteristics of passive and active isolation systems in both single-stage and multiple-stage configurations and how to properly design and apply these systems to achieve optimized vibration control.
