The moment "as you like it" came out I fell in love with eve. He was the first Japanese artist that I would listen to consistently and i've always loved tuning in to all his new songs. words can not describe how exited I was when eve was picked to do the opening for jujutsu Kaisen. Its always nice too see artists you love become popular overseas.
see, all eve songs are bops, and i will always vibe and act like a fool when a song of theirs plays, but looking at the eng. translation of most of their songs is so utterly heartbreaking and depressing i just choose to pretend i know nothing abt whats being said (not discarding the message, bc i can actually relate to and understand most of their overall points/message/lesson/statement they're making in their music) :)
My favs from Eve are the ao no waltz, Leo, and Yamiyo. Ao no waltz is just so beautiful and makes me want to dance and glide across the ball room, Leo make me cry, was a lot to unpack from that and still feel emotional when ever i think of it. And Yamiyo makes you want to sit down and transcend at the same time, dunno how to put it.
