Great tutorial man, you got some of best rp2 content on RUclips. I'm glad i haven't had drift problems yet, I'm thinking of getting some backup stick to replace them if needed. Its good to know those vita stick work.

the clear one is super easy to take apart the back cover, i can take it off without any prying tools and without any visible scratches Get the clear one even if you dont plan to do any modding, you will need to tear it down to unbricked it anyway
I've actually been wondering if I could replace the stick on my RP2 with a vita stick since I first got it. Would you say it also made the device more pocketable?
I'm glad that you can replace it with the vita stick because I couldn't find anything else that worked. It is maybe a little bit more pocketable as the stick is a little bit smaller but since its not recessed into the system the stick would still get stuck on my pocket sometimes.
Thank you man you're a lifesaver. I love my new PS Vita stick. It's so much better. I just wish the calibration software was a little better. Maybe that is due to me not having the latest firmware installed. Do you have the same issues with the calibration resetting by itself sometimes?
Yeah its a tight fit, I had to cut off some of the plastic on the vita stick and shave down some plastic on the RP2 shell and then it fit in pretty nicely
Any clue on how to fix DPAD rattle/looseness? Mine shakes like crazy. I was told tightening the internal screws would solve the problem. But they're all already tight..
It does have its issues but when actually playing games I don't notice any input lag, especially after updating to android 8.1 but I can see that its not for everyone. personally I think I prefer the RG351 over it but I can see its merits with running android given access to android games and apps.

I don't think I have any issues with calibration it has worked as it should since the initial calibration after install for me.

This is an old comment but people have replaced the slider with a left analog stick just by making the case hole for the slider bigger
Did adding the psvita stick allow for you to add support for an R3 button?

hmm not sure mine is fine. check the rubber membrane for the d-pad to make sure its in correctly and see if adjusting that helps?
I can’t operate the game pad test on my retroid how did you set it up for it to detect the buttons
you have to make sure it is in gamepad mode and not mouse mode and it should just detect everything
I found some nintendo switch analog stick replacement online, but its good to know vita sticks are compatible as well
the switch analogs aren't the same and I'm pretty sure they don't work because they have a different connector.

Is the calibrate option only on 8.1?
I'm not sure I don't think I ever tried to calibrate it when I had android 6 installed. But I would think its there just not sure

no that is incorrect that will not work it is a different connector.
The best way to fix it : throw it away, it's a piece of shit and useless to game anyway, android has gigantic input lag.
