Here's an idea for an early-game mini game: 1.) Get a sheep of each color. 2.) Rename them all to _jeb so they're all rainbowy and you can't tell them apart. 3.) Place them in an area with plenty of grass with a hopper minecart rolling underneath. 4.) Craft a bunch of Shears and wear them down to one use each. 5.) Charge one diamond per go. 6.) The player picks a sheep and shears it. The color of wool they get corresponds to the color of the prize block they receive; blue = a block of lapis, red = Redstone, green = cactus, etc. With the grand/lucky prize being the light blue giving them a diamond block. 7.) Call it Shear Luck. Now you have a source of wool and the Hermits have a fun game with a cool prize to win.
"A source of wool," excuse me, do you think getting 2 or 3 wool maybe once a day if you're lucky is a source of wool? The minigame is great. I just don't see how it's "a source of wool."

a 9 player base group is INSANE, the biggest in 9 was technically 15, as all those hermits had bases that were barely apart, false, xisuma, jevin, zedaph, doc, scar, tango, grian, mumbo, xb, gem,pearl,impulse, keralis, hypno.
The mountain group is officially 7. Just south of them is Tango, Pearl, Etho, Cub, and Doc. And somewhere nearby is a Zedaph playing without a hotbar. 13 hermits in relatively close proximity is going to be great. And somewhere east of them, possibly on the far side of spawn is Ren, Keralis, Wells, and i think XB. I assume the plains biome east of the cherry mountain is going to become the shopping district if nobody has settled their yet. Edit: i now understand that the village that can be seen from pearls hill is Cleo's base and not the spawn town village, and that doc is building an industrial district way off to the north. And Bdubs is north of the cherry mountain. Depending on how sprawling they get, the area will have 11-14 connecting bases. (Even if its just the terraforming)

X gave everyone the same question and X didn't confirm or deny anyone's answer. This theory doesn't make sense because of that. Plus I wouldn't be shocked at that time they haven't really talked about it. Skizz to me was going to be in hermit craft because he started collaborating with a lot of hermits. So everyone got the feelings about who he is before the vote.

Between starting the season with _Demise_ and the "Collaborative Caving Initiative" it feels like an entirely fresh SMP that's incorporated a lot of great lessons from the Life Series.
Pretty sure he's done it ever since season 6 or 7 if I'm honest. XD he's very bad at improv so I think Doc, Xisuma, and Ren like messing with him and making him do it since he's one of the other longest standing members of the server. (edit to fix Xisumas name lol)
The most important thing about city’s is making them feel populous, and like there are things to do, maybe sell apartments to hermits so they can customize their own little spaces. Seeing fwip and smajor in scarland last season was a big highlight and made it feel really spontaneous
Glad to see Impulse immediately embracing the chaos gremlin side of Hermitcraft by covering for scar XD AND immediately getting on Doc’s list, no less!

I haven't seen everyone, but I know that we have the Cherry Mountain Crew (Gem, Grian, Impulse, Skizz, Scar, Mumbo, Joel) together, as well as Pearl, Etho, and Tango in their little circle. Seeing the zombie with a diamond in hand just took me way back lol. For those who started playing after advancements were added to the game, there used to be achievements instead, and one was you had to give a diamond to another player. But that's impossible in single player, so the way around it was to toss a diamond to a zombie and hope he would pick it up, and that would give you the achievement.
i wish the hermits would have mentioned demise being in season 6 cause the amount of "this is last life in hermitcraft!" comments from people not watching season 6 on every hermit's video is wild lmao
Don't know how well a Square layout works for a Cyberpunk city. A big part of the aesthetic is how chaotic and unplanned the final city ends up. Much of it comes from how the New is built over the old, with the two being connected by a gordian knot network of roads, passageways, and ramshackle buildings. I feel like a bit of that gets lost if you have it all laid out in a neat little square. To give it that authentic Cyberpunk feel, I would suggest starting with building a settlement that looks quaint, with cottages, small businesses, a town square, etc., then begin putting in sky scrapers and apartments that sorta just push through or cover the original buildings, and then adding in the spaghetti road network to connect them all up. Give you that real feeling that something got lost in the name of progress.
You and Skizz are adorable best friends and I’m so excited to see where his season goes. You and Bdubs have your work cut out for you but you’re both so great it’ll be so fun watching you innovate and create in this brand new season
when i first watched this 3 month ago I had only ever watched Mumbo an never saw Hermitcraft before.. I had no idea of the dynamics at play. Now I have seen all the S10 episodes from most people, binged the Life Series.. the podcast, and fell in love with the build challenges among other things... and now I understand what is going on here... the people involved and why and who to care about :) such a great time
Well Keralis's season 7 city base is my favorite Hermitcraft base of all time, so there's a good chance I'm gonna be watching a lot of Impulse this season. Watching Keralis's city slowly come together as he lays out plans way in advance and seeing those plans get payed off and come to life was such a fun experience as a viewer, I'm excited for this :)

Oh I am so excited!!! The cyberpunk base? Sounds EPIC! Also, I’m so excited to see what all the hermits do around the mountain and with that MASSIVE cavern inside. There’s endless possibilities.
Especially with how many hermits are nearby. Pearl, Tango, Etho, and Cub are very close. And Doc is a bit farther but pearl can see the edge if his village from her hill. By the end of this season this area will be a litteral quilt of bases touching terraforming at the edges. And zed is considered neighbors with skizz so that makes 13 hermits in the greater cherry mountain area. Definitely a ton of potential for collabs this season.
I'm so happy to see Skizz on hermitcraft. i didn't scream out loud and wake the dead like when i booted up season eight and saw my beloved Gem.... but tahts because i found out a day ago thanks to comments sections and twitter. lol but that just means that now, my favorite people are all in one place. the way you, skizz and Gem interact is just so heartwarming, wholesome and caring. I love it.
I would love to see some Cyberpunk style cliff dwellings! That square doesn't quite touch the mountain, the city could kinda merge in with a little portion of said mountain to give an opportunity to connect with the other mountain dwellers
I am so stoked for this season and your plans with Bdubs. It's going to be legendary! With the seven of you surrounding that mountain have you guys considered turning the top of it into a communal area with shops and what not? Maybe not a full on shopping district, but maybe something like a fair ground/market place? The idea of multiple shopping districts that you guys had in s8 never really got implemented, but it's still not a bad idea. Also the editing in this episode makes me all warm and fuzzy. I think you made the right decision limiting the replay stuff. It's great for showing off builds and such, but 90% of the footage is already perfect without it.
The mindblown thing of this episode was when two are the arguably grindest hermits both admitted that their plans were going to be a lot. Looking forward to the progression you and bdubs have for this year, and happy you get to play with your best friend on the minecraft server.
I love that all if the hermits are taking it slow and not going straight to getting an elytra like in previous seasons. So excited to see all the interactions you have impy❤

Gotta say I love that HC10 is all about having fun with your friends and cooperation! Don’t get me wrong I love the mega bases but could definitely tell it was wearing on some of the Hermits and I’m hoping this season will reinvigorate all of the Hermits. I knew it!! I knew it!! All hermits disapeared this week, I thought to myself, the season has started, they are pre recording some stuff.
I knew skizz and impulse would be sticking together and demise is back I loved that game in season 6

I love how much people are grouping together this season. I haven't seen everyone, but I know that we have the Cherry Mountain Crew (Gem, Grian, Impulse, Skizz, Scar, Mumbo, Joel) together, as well as Pearl, Etho, and Tango in their little circle. I can't wait for all of the chaos that's going to come from this

Seeing the zombie with a diamond in hand just took me way back lol. For those who started playing after advancements were added to the game, there used to be achievements instead, and one was you had to give a diamond to another player. But that's impossible in single player, so the way around it was to toss a diamond to a zombie and hope he would pick it up, and that would give you the achievement.
You say "get a reaper kill." And then flashed to Skizz. I immediately flashed back to secret life

i wish the hermits would have mentioned demise being in season 6 cause the amount of "this is last life in hermitcraft!" comments from people not watching season 6 on every hermit's video is wild lmao
Don't know how well a Square layout works for a Cyberpunk city. A big part of the aesthetic is how chaotic and unplanned the final city ends up. Much of it comes from how the New is built over the old, with the two being connected by a gordian knot network of roads, passageways, and ramshackle buildings. I feel like a bit of that gets lost if you have it all laid out in a neat little square.
To give it that authentic Cyberpunk feel, I would suggest starting with building a settlement that looks quaint, with cottages, small businesses, a town square, etc., then begin putting in sky scrapers and apartments that sorta just push through or cover the original buildings, and then adding in the spaghetti road network to connect them all up. Give you that real feeling that something got lost in the name of progress.
Grian was just being PURE savage for the entire first half of the episode! 🤣

when i first watched this 3 month ago I had only ever watched Mumbo an never saw Hermitcraft before.. I had no idea of the dynamics at play. Now I have seen all the S10 episodes from most people, binged the Life Series.. the podcast, and fell in love with the build challenges among other things... and now I understand what is going on here... the people involved and why and who to care about :) such a great time

Well Keralis's season 7 city base is my favorite Hermitcraft base of all time, so there's a good chance I'm gonna be watching a lot of Impulse this season. Watching Keralis's city slowly come together as he lays out plans way in advance and seeing those plans get payed off and come to life was such a fun experience as a viewer, I'm excited for this :)

46:52 wouldnt it be better to filter the excess poppys into a composter, then take the bonemeal and put it into another crafter to make bone blocks? It wouldnt be the fastest ofc, but it would be a nice use to get a lil extra bonemeal on the side since you are already keeping some in reserve anyways

Also, I’m so excited to see what all the hermits do around the mountain and with that MASSIVE cavern inside. There’s endless possibilities.
Especially with how many hermits are nearby. Pearl, Tango, Etho, and Cub are very close. And Doc is a bit farther but pearl can see the edge if his village from her hill.
By the end of this season this area will be a litteral quilt of bases touching terraforming at the edges.
And zed is considered neighbors with skizz so that makes 13 hermits in the greater cherry mountain area. Definitely a ton of potential for collabs this season.

I'm so happy to see Skizz on hermitcraft. i didn't scream out loud and wake the dead like when i booted up season eight and saw my beloved Gem.... but tahts because i found out a day ago thanks to comments sections and twitter. lol
but that just means that now, my favorite people are all in one place. the way you, skizz and Gem interact is just so heartwarming, wholesome and caring. I love it.
I would love to see some Cyberpunk style cliff dwellings! That square doesn't quite touch the mountain, the city could kinda merge in with a little portion of said mountain to give an opportunity to connect with the other mountain dwellers
I am so stoked for this season and your plans with Bdubs. It's going to be legendary!
With the seven of you surrounding that mountain have you guys considered turning the top of it into a communal area with shops and what not? Maybe not a full on shopping district, but maybe something like a fair ground/market place? The idea of multiple shopping districts that you guys had in s8 never really got implemented, but it's still not a bad idea.
Also the editing in this episode makes me all warm and fuzzy. I think you made the right decision limiting the replay stuff. It's great for showing off builds and such, but 90% of the footage is already perfect without it.

The mindblown thing of this episode was when two are the arguably grindest hermits both admitted that their plans were going to be a lot. Looking forward to the progression you and bdubs have for this year, and happy you get to play with your best friend on the minecraft server.

Impulse looks like the Tin Man. If I were an artist I'd draw them as the whole Wizard of Oz cast - Grian as the Scarecrow, Gem as Dorothy, Skizz as the lion and Scar as the Wizard. Maybe Cleo as the Wicked Witch....
Man, hermitcraft is one of the reasons i joined a minecraft server in which i ended up as senior admin (just bellow owner). Really appreciate the effort ur putting in each episodes impulse ^^
Gotta say I love that HC10 is all about having fun with your friends and cooperation! Don’t get me wrong I love the mega bases but could definitely tell it was wearing on some of the Hermits and I’m hoping this season will reinvigorate all of the Hermits. Cannot wait to see what happens!! Good luck and above all, have fun!

It doesn't interfere with the game so I don't see the problem actually if they didn't add the red names they will probably keep track by them self with gentlemen rules and such
Demise on Season 6 was kind of the precursor to the life series, so its nice to see it return in Season 10.
