    Why is Restaurant Kitchen Exhaust Hood Cleaning a recession proof business?
    Restaurant Kitchen Exhaust Hood Cleaning is a recession proof business because all restaurants across the country MUST clean their hood system periodically or the grease from the cooking builds up so much that it becomes a fire hazard to the restaurant. Thus, fire inspectors throughout the USA and Canada will inspect all commercial kitchen exhaust hood systems to make sure that they are cleaned prior to the grease build up. As per NFPA Code 96 an exhaust hood system MUST be inspected and cleaned regularly by a trained, qualified and certified person. As long as restaurants cook food, this industry will always exist whether the economy is slow or thriving.

    I personally prefer to turn the filters the other direction with the baffles horizontally that way when you spray the chemical in between each baffle it leaks downwards instead of down-and-out of the holes in the filters just something I have learned in my 7 years of doing this

      I must say that is a good trick when you’re spraying Chemical. However, when you’re cleaning them, you want the grease to come out of the holes so at that point, straighten up the filters again and make the baffles run vertically so it doesn’t get the filters to the right and to the left dirty

    been interested in opening a hood cleaning division within our company but haven't seen a concise list of equipment needed anywhere... I subscribed to MFS newsletter for when we decide to get certified but would like some additional info on that before sending people to train and get certified. do you have a link or video for a typical setup? Assuming all grease and chem runoff needs to be collected which is different from our exterior cleaning operations

    Is there an area where the filter can be washed outdoors?
    I am currently trying to find a solution to this problem.

    • @bhargavchopda8421
      @bhargavchopda8421 Год назад +1

      I think the best way and majority of all companies do in sink.
      However, if you really want to do outside legally, then you need to make a sink and spray that chemical wash that in sink and connect that sink to motor which go to one tank. That’s all I can think.

    • @MFSTradeSchool
      @MFSTradeSchool  Год назад +1

      The smartest way to clean filters out doors, is to get a filter tank or buy an old freezer chest that will sit in your van or trailer and put 2 gallons of grease eater and fill the rest with water. When you get to the restaurant take the dirty filters and dunk them inside and let them sit there for a few hours until you finish cleaning then pull them out and the grease should be 95% melted off. If there is a little bit of grease left you could easily rinse it off inside the restaurant Kitchen for 10 seconds each filter!

    • @alekswhy88
      @alekswhy88 Год назад

      I personally dropped them all in a large Rubbermaid 100 gallon stock tank that you can get at a tractor si place and connect that to a hose and run that to their grease trap outdoors or grease trap Under their sink. NEVET DUMP GREASE INTO THE USED OIL RECEPTACLE. Lots of people Don't have inground Grease traps and they Try to tell me to put the grease into their used Is cooking oil receptacle which is absolutely not allowed!
