** Why Do We Hunt Hogs? **
Feral hogs are a non-native and invasive species in Texas. Each year hogs cause millions of dollars in damage in the form of damaged crops, contaminated water supplies, broken equipment, transmission of diseases and injury to livestock.
Feral hogs compete with native wildlife for resources and also prey directly on the eggs and young of ground nesting birds and will actively hunt small mammals, frogs, lizards and snakes.
Due to their intelligence, adaptability, and prolific breeding habits, traditional methods of hunting and trapping have been largely ineffective in reducing the feral hog population. The introduction of night vision and thermal optics has greatly increased landowners' ability to mitigate the destruction caused by feral hogs.
Feral swine are not considered game animals in Texas and may be hunted by any means or methods at any time of year.

Haven't had a chance to test if it holds zero, but mounts just fine and has nice clear glass. Centered vertically true to a plumb line with the crosshairs which is always a plus!It's a great ruclips.net/user/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope. There's no parallax adjustment or focus ring, so may be limited to 3-7x, have to see how it is on the range. Also be aware that the rings are "look through" so you can still use irons, but they are really tall if you only intend to use the optics. On a 22LR no biggie since I'm not shooting competitions or worried about a hard cheek press. Will boresight and range test, if all goes well, I'll leave it at that!

This might be a dumb question, but do they taste good? Like do you have unlimited bacon for life?
That's a lot of bacon.
My friend butchers the small pigs and eats them. I don’t want to take the risk. I get different opinions on the safety. It would be nice if someone reputable did a survey to determine if the meat is safe.
I suppose if it's properly cooked it should be safe but maybe not eating it too often.

I can't believe how shallow minded people can be over this hog hunting, I make a lot of cracks about it but it's serious business when one would just sit down, put pen to paper and figure out how many tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage these hogs are causing by uprooting all the vegetation on the farmers property, the Cattle Ranchers are facing just as much of a loss with all the hay, corn, and all the feed for their animals because of the hogs, what they don't eat they piss on and the farm animals won't eat it afterward, then, the diseases they spread, it's climbing up into the millions of dollars.

David Moreira I took care of all mine but go to local Facebook sites specifically smith or Cherokee county land owners and post asking if anyone needs them removed there’s a lot of landowners asking for help I’ve done it and gotten to hunt for free on some pretty nice land while taking care of their hog problems

This video is fantastic, I live in California, we are not even allowed to look at pictures of guns. First off I can’t believe how many of those damn pigs there are. My buddy says 6 million in Texas alone, that’s crazy. I’m totally inspired to do this now (obviously not in California, I would have to travel across the border to the US).
