If only Adam and Trevor did another song together
They could've squeezed in 3 songs to turn this into the debut album

Trevs energy on this movie is just sick, I wish there’d been so much more of this, especially with the direction TFK went, but dude this had the potential to be the absolute hardest thing.

Nope. I was born when these demos were released. He sounds the same a little bit. I'd have to admit, he's got a little more emotion in this version than the other ones.

This movie: I can clearly hear Overrated in this song
TV: The riff is clearly Drown
Burn: very cool to hear this first version of this song
Same for I Hate (everything about) You, Now or Never, (Born) Like This and Drown

As far as I know, I've always been a fan of TFK and TDG. Their voice have something so interesting... and together it has its potential

the beginning sounds turned into a sound effect that plays in the verse after the chorus, if you listen closely
I thought the riff sounded more like the opening riff of Burn.

Going to be super honest. If you really pay attention to the album version of I Hate Everything About You it’s gotta be the same. I’m pretty sure they just mixed it better and recorded some new vocals over parts maybe. A bit ago I had really broken headphones that only let me listen to backing vocals and guitar pretty much (the rest was very quiet) and I heard pretty much this version of the song. Unless they somehow managed to record it sounding almost identical a second time. Even that very high solo “love me” towards the end is there if you listen to it very closely. Always thought the album version sounded a bit different from the other songs. Maybe I’m wrong but I’m fairly certain about it

Two of my favorite bands Nickelback and Three Days Grace have a song called “In Front Of Me” on their first EP and both of them sounded grungier back then lol plus it’s the best song on each of their EP’s.. just sayin

"I Hate You" sounds near enough the same but mixed with just a little bit of Hybrid Theory
They cleaned up the song and got rid of the disk scratching. Wish they didn't remove the stand alone female vocal though.
I like the intro for burn better in this one then in the final version

The file is no longer available for download sadly and man oh man would I have loved to snagg these for my collection.
It’s too bad this was only an EP. There was so much potential here! The only problems I have with it are:
1) I think This Movie would have been a lot better without the rapping part. It kind of makes sense to have Trevor McNevan on a song since he’s Neil’s cousin, but here, he just sounds obnoxious.
And 2) The awkwardly cut version of Burn. Why did that need to be there?
Other than that though, it’s really good, and to tell the truth, I prefer it over their self-titled album. TV, In Front of Me, and My Own Life are all amazing songs, and I prefer these versions of Born Like This, Drown, and maybe Now or Never over the final versions.
I think they should have either made a second EP with the other half of the songs on the self-titled album, or made something totally original. It’s still a solid album, don’t get me wrong, but l prefer this EP and their next 3 albums by a long shot.
Drown was performed exactly the same as on this video at live performances (excluding select few).
