I love that u really gave puma alot of praise, shows how objective you are, you shat on the older gen objectivley, and have no problem praising them when they get it right! And boy did they ever! They look sick and preform amazingly. Personally, i prefer the carbon, but still, the ultimate is great and feels like a more old school hardcore speedboot like vapor 8 etc.. great video!

Lotto Maestro 200 are awesome as well. Basically a Hypervenom 1 upper on a F50 soleplate
what would you say is the best option for wide footed players?
The Furon’s heel was super uncomfortable. It felt like a rock was jabbing into the back of my foot.
I find the comparison of the Mizuno Alpha to the F50 offensive. Comfort, feel, and fit are not comparable. Alpha blows the F50 out of the water. It has the speed cage, the zeroglide, the enerzy foam and the karvo insert. They are completely different boots in my opinion. The Puma Ultra 5 at number 1 is a big surprise. I'd place them just behind the alpha and Morelia 4 but massive improvement from Puma.
If the shoe fits buy it in every color, so we have 4 Mizunos Alpha Elite, the best by far for quality and value. Happy to see Puma Ultra is pushing themselves out of the hype. Adidas at the end of the day is a disappointment, focusing on marketing, and releasing so many variations instead of something outstanding. I hoped that the Mercurial will be a really new model, but they look more like an update. Still attractive though. Thanks!!

Puma ultra 5 genuinely feels like merc 13 more than anything else I’ve tried. The upper is almost identical, weird non of the reviewers have mentioned this tho. Love it.
I initially brought the alpha elites but came across a made in Japan pair at a price I couldn’t refuse about a year later. I have to say the MIJ is actually quite a lot better. Both are good but I way prefer the MIJ it just feels so much more premium and light on your feet

Hey, can you share a link for a shop that stocks the Mizuno neo please? Every shop I find only has the beta/sock version.
It took a while to accept getting a pair of MIJ Alphas. I wanted to never like them, hated the shape until finally I found a pair of MIJ for sub $200. By far one of the best boots I’ve ever worn. Something about the traditional tongue makes them feel just right.

I'm glad Puma revamped the Ultra. The 1.1-1.4 were some of the best speed boots around. The Ultimate was the worst speed boot I've ever worn. Excited to try the 5. Thanks for the reviews as always.

Alpha still the top dog for me but id love to try out the new ultras. Like you said, on paper, everything you'd look for in a speed boot done right🙏🏻
Alphas studs feel weird to me somehow (FG.) They are short and plenty; combined with the stiff sole it kinda feels like walking on a business shoe lol.

Hey Josh, my favorite boot of all time is the Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 Tech Craft (Second tech craft pack-black with yellow detail) what can I buy in todays market that would give me the closest feel?
Check out the adidas adizero leather remake and the adidas .99 leather they were limited edition both but still around closest I could think of
Morelia Neo 4 Beta would be the closest thing, although there are still quite a few differences in regards to fit and feel. MV13 TC is a tough one to compare to almost anything. It was such a unique football boot!
How can not say that the new balance fyrons are good since you praise them for being the best speed boot a couple of months ago??
I think it's because the new Mercs, F50s, Ultra 5s and even Sketchers weren't on the market at the time.

Are morelia 4s really considered speed boots? They have full conical studs and a somewhat padded leather upper. They feel like light control boots to me.
I kinda get that but I guess all the control boots are kinda turning into that the new predators are more sleek and the phantom gx are too
I find it weird the distance between the puma carbon and the puma ultra. And indeed, its the raddest soleplate
The difference between them is quite significant when it comes to feel and playing experience. Also, like I talked about in the video, and like most of the boots lower on the list, while still very good, the Ultra 5 Carbon is very much an acquired taste because of how stiff that soleplate is.
i really want the phantom gx 2 but im in between sizes 7.5 and 8 sometimes bc 7.5 is sometimes to tight but sometimes they fit good, idk either to go 7.5 or 8 i cant try them on bc none of my local stores have them.
Buy both and return one

#1 should be the mercurial, just from new innovation IMO I hope they keep heading in the direction of gripknit type boots. Bending it like Beckham is going to be a whole new level once people get used to these type of boots.

Once you try other brands, especially brands that aren't really available, you realize how generic, plain and overrated Nike and Adidas really are....not saying their terrible by anymeans.
