    You can make it smooth by doubling or tripling the gum stay at the point where you want to add bias to. It makes it more firmer at that point. I normally cut one inch wide cloth stay three times and add to the wrong side of the exact place I want the bias, then I use the bias in front, comes out smooth

    I have a question: what if u want to use a different colour of fabric for the bone casing what am I expect to do??
    OR
    Is it only advisable to do only inner bone casing for any velvet fabric??

      Inner casing is the best
      You use any color

    I guess the tissue gum is also called paper stay

      No it’s different from paper stay

      Spider linning would be fine. That fabric Schools use for uniform.

      For light and softer fabrics, try to stick to tissue stay..its less rigid..sorry about that though
