That was long day in the saddle. Our longest day was 580 miles last year close to Thanksgiving. We had to stay in front of some early snow and had no choice but to do what was planned for two days in one day. Hope I never have to do that again🤣🤣
P LOVE, yes it was. Later in the season we did a trip to the Laramie WY area. It was right at 300 miles there and we were going to camp and return home the next day. When we got there, I looked at the weather for the next day and there was high wind warnings (60mph). I punched “Go Home” on the gps and it said we would arrive home right at sunset. So instead of fighting the wind the next day we just high tailed it home. That day ended up being 602 miles.
@@ItsYoursOWNIT Ouch!! That really does ruin your day!! I have a trailer from USA trailer store also. I have one of the fiberglass models. In hindsight I kind of wish I had went with the aluminum model. I've had problems with mine leaking when I'm traveling in the rain.
I see that you carry extra gas on your trailer, I plan on taking a similar trip with my 2014 RTS and trailer and from what I see on different forums is that gas stations can be quite far in between and have heard from many that they were running on fumes before they found gas, I was just wondering how many gal. is your gas can and did you ever have to use it or just knowing you have it eases the nerves Thanks
I mounted two gas cans on the rear of the trailer, one on each side. They are 1.3 gallons each. I haven’t needed them yet but have gotten close. They are mostly for peace of mind at this point. The closest I’ve came to needing them was when I filled up with bad gas once. Almost immediately it started running weak. We were in the middle of Wyoming and I was on empty after 100 miles. So, yes, they are mostly for peace of mind.

@@ItsYoursOWNIT , Thank you for your quick reply, I will be adding a gas can to my trailer like you said "for the peace of mine", I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I really appreciate your video's, I have learned so much from you watching them. The local Powersport shop quit selling Spyder's and will not even work on them any longer so besides expensive labor cost, it you want something done you almost have to do it yourself. Thanks, Gary
Whatever the speed limit is, or a few over. Interstate 80+. I did replace the cheap tires that came on the trailer that were rated at 65mph with radials that are rated at 81mph.
@@ItsYoursOWNIT Thanks for the info. I just bought a trailer to pull behind my Spyder. I don't even have a hitch on the Spyder yet. Just done a ride from California to North Carolina to Michigan and back to California. 6881 miles. I decided I needed a trailer.
Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing.

Been watching all of your trip. Wish we could get one in this year with all the weird stuff going on these days.
This will definitely be a strange riding season. I am holding out hope that this will sort itself out sooner than later. Stay safe
You just have to get out there, nobody’s going to give you the all clear.
Is the red fuel container on the side of the trailer bothered by extreme heat and cold (expansion). Does it bulge when you are parked in the sun?
Those Jerry cans are sturdy, I haven’t noticed any swelling.
Que tengas un buen día bendiciones

Is that a popup camper you are towing? I take it the Spyder tows it well?
John Newman, Not a popup. It is a Lumina XL.

tomamos la interestatal 84 hasta Mountain Home y luego la autopista 20
How fast do you cruise pulling the trailer?
