Of course it would be absurd to say you had a gallon of blood in your car. You're in the car as well, it's 2 gallons.

    Making something weird:
I spend most of my day looking at glowing bright rectangles with moving pictures on them.
Sometimes I look at rectangles that fold and have a lot of thin rectangles with many symbols out together. I go to sleep on a large cushioned rectangle and cover myself with rectangles that can also fold.

Playing my viola: I take a carbon fiber stick with hair from a horse stretched taunt across it and with tree sap on the hair. I move it perpendicularly across a string made of multiple smaller metal strings that are attracted to an oddly shaped object made from dead trees. Placing my fingers at the right spots on the other end of the dead wood thing shortens the string and changes the sound when combined moving the horse hair stick.

Pillows: somewhere along the timeline someone decided to pluck all of the feathers off of a bird, stuff them into a sack, then sleep with it. Later humanity decided to put a sack (pillow case) over the sac of feathers to make it look pretty and slept with it again...

First they wrapped the feathers in a case, then they put another case over that case to make it easier to keep clean, so it's a case of a case of feathers.

Sometimes I get moments when I look at someone I've known all my life, like my mum or my sister, and I think about how they have completely different lives and different set of thoughts and all of a sudden their face looks unfamiliar and I wonder what they're doing here and I feel like I don't know them at all. But then after a moment it all goes back to normal.

Ever since I watched this video, I haven't been able to stop thinking about things this way. I will look at something and mentally pick apart down to the compounds and atoms that make it up and I realize that the difference between me and trees or ducks is surprisingly small. Only until I get to the atoms does it become not weird. Except, when I get there everything is made up of all the same stuff. At that point it's like nothing is weird or normal because it's all just the same stuff and there's nothing to compare it to. I know this makes no sense. I had forgotten that this video is why I started thinking like this and I'm glad i went back and saw it again. :)

I experience something similar with blood-- when I start thinking about the blood in my body and being aware of it moving through my veins, when I can feel it, and I start thinking about how much is going on in my body when I'm sitting perfectly still, just to keep me sitting perfectly still, and how much goes into every tiny movement we make and thought we have. It's such an overwhelming feeling.

I don't have dreams unless they're about explosions. Then I wake up with my heart pounding as if I ran a marathon. It's really strange because I've never had any wartime experiences or memories of being shot at. One dream i always have is im in a town that's a mix of three towns I grew up in. Each time, there are small details that are different. However, two things stay the same. I'm outside and I look up and something comes from the sky and makes a big boom, then I always experience getting blown back through the air with lethal force before waking up.
I would compare it to dreaming about falling, but I wake up with my ears ringing from the dreams as if it really happened.
This isn't every night but two or three nights a week I have several episodes each night. Watching a video once i heard it's something called "exploding head syndrome".
I've had these dreams ever since I kick a serious addiction I few years ago. Before then I had strange dreams every night about an evil imaginary guy who said his name was Cornflake.
I honestly can't say I've ever had a good dream. Even as a kid I didnt have anything but nightmarish dreams that haunt me even as an adult. I guess back then I didn't think my surroundings were that bad as to effect my imagination as a sleeping child. But one day I was with my "at the time" girlfriend and was swopping childhood stories with her. She looked at me one day and said "you really need to stop telling me about when you were a kid because I couldn't imagine my daughters growing up like that". Then it hit me. I need to leave this woman for not caring about my past and that I had a fucked up past. So fucked up in fact that I can't share stories of my childhood or even talk about a single dream I've ever had without people thinking I'm a complete drag. I suddenly realized why people tend to stray away from talking to me normaly and why I have so much trouble establishing relationships. How does one even exist around potential human friends when the life you were given by your elders was so terrible that nobody wants to hear it? How does one express that basic human urge to share knowledge through story telling when society demands that my life of heat and pressure produce a gem of a story when real life is too gritty to make anything but dirt.
I guess I may be ranting but damnit, I need to let all this out somehow. I'm sure nobody will actually have the patience to read all this in the commentsbut in the off chance you do, I thank you for actually taking the time to care enough to make it to the end. It means more to me than you may think.

My cup. First along time ago people took some sand and melted it and then formed it into a hollow cylinder shape with one circular end missing, let it cool until it was solid, and then filled it with liquids, then poured the liquids from it into an opening in their head. Then later on they learned to take oil from the ground and manipulate in on a molecular level so that they could make solid objects from it and they turned the molecularly altered solid oil into a hollow cylinder shape with one circular end missing, and then they created a removable circular cap to put over the missing end.
The removable cap was given two small holes one near the edge and one roughly half way between the edge and the middle point and a flippable tab was added to seal off and open the holes at will. The edge hole allows the human to pour the liquid placed in the vessel into the opening in their head, while the other hole allows air to flow in to the vessel to adjust for the displaced liquid.

Like yesterday I went outside in my socks and they got wet, so I decided it would be awesome if socks were more waterproof and harder on the bottom so you could walk over rocks without getting hurt. Then I realized that I had just rediscovered the idea for shoes.

sometimes when i'm having a conversation with someone and they say something i have a hundred possible replies pop into my head and i don't know what to say because i wonder if i'll say the wrong thing and then i wonder what if i said this other thing, would the conversation have played out instead of ceasing? which reply would cause the other person to think that i gave a normal reply and then would cause them to keep talking to me? what if i say something weird and they feel awkward and then i feel awkward and then i just seem really weird.
    what.

Sometimes when I get tired I become so disturbed by the fact that I'm feeling compelled to go lie down in the dark for eight hours and hallucinate that I'm unable to act on those feelings. Like now, for instance.
Also, my son recently asked me where he had come from. Explaining it made me very uncomfortable, mostly because I felt like I was telling him that at one time he had been a parasitic ball of cells in my uterus. It didn't seem like an adequate origin story for such an incredible child.

This is my favourite mental activity. Just today I realised how weird driving in a car is, I actually started to enjoy being in the car so much I didn't want the journey to end. My brain is so easy manipulated, I have an instinct to hold on to the grass for dear life with this giant chasm of sky beneath me when I'm facing up. At school the other day, and found clapping was so weird I actually started laughing and got sent out. It's a great enlightenment to watch a video like this, thank you Ze.

I haven't watched it in years but I saw it when it came out, and looking back made me realize how much of me was influenced by it. 8 years ago high school me watched these and it felt like someone had gone into my head and taken all the ideas I had but didn't know how to organize and made them into something concrete. It's not something I actively think about frequently, but it lodged itself in my subconscious I guess. Weird.

"That's so funny and I don't know why!" Exclaimed the social goddess to her friend, the social goddess.
"Anything can be funny if you say it right." The awkward person chimed in. The social goddesses then looked at her like she was an alien. I want to show her this video but I have no idea who that was.

    a guitar:
one or various boards of dead tree glued or bolted together ergonomically forming an object with one of the boards being relatively protruding, having embeded thin metal rods all along it's length perpendicularly and (usually) one extremity with devices intended to stretch strings over the metal rod segment until they reach the place where they and the board will be bound,
-a resonating box with a vibration-receiving surface and it's receiver, usually a thin slice of something placed in a manner like the thin metal rods.
    ...or...
-a bulky, holed board on which are mounted electro-magnetic vibration detectors, it's electric power receiver, switches and electronical and physical controls.
    ...or..
    -a combination of the two.

I imagine tho Ze is much like I am. I spend literal countless hours, days, weeks, trying to fully deconstruct the full course of human participation behind getting a bag of carrots to my grocery store. Then when I've got that torn down, I hyper analyze and break down the public school system, a huge corporation, down to the guys who build the machines that make the pieces that go in the garbage cans. I have a lot of free time. When I'm really outta my head, I start to try and rationalize human value. Then it gets sticky. But I'm mostly not sociopath, so you're safe.

That lying-down/standing perspective switch JUST happened to me. At camp, we were all lying out on a dock and looking at the stars and having deep spiritual experience time that was supposed to be nice and peaceful, and the entire time I just felt like space could suck me off the tiny gravity marble of Earth, but for now I was completely stuck to it, and I also kept hearing Hank Green saying "Dude, no edge!" in my mind, and I ended up feeling alien and unsafe instead. This is a Sharpie. It is a long, cylindrical object with a removable cap. The cap has a clip that inevitably gets broken off, one way or another. Under the clip is a cone-shaped piece of whatchamacalit protruding from a piece of melted down rocks. The cone-shaped whatchamacalit spews out ink, which we use to dye things to make them look pretty, or to move our hand to make markings on a piece of wood fibers that cannot be understood by everyone.

I find that the sensation of learning something new is an exciting, wondrous feeling. It makes me feel like the world is just a little bit more reasonable and fair, while at the same time being a little more fantastic and magical.
I think that "weird" is the realization that the mundane can be new, and that everyday life has many exciting and unknown qualities. "Weird" then, is an injection of "new" into that which is already old and boring. Some qualify that as fear, some as joy.

It would have text it some foreign language burnt into the edges and a little hole on the front with an old piece of twine popping out. It would have a little piece of paper tied to it that has the word "advice" written on it in some old-fashioned style of cursive. When you pull it the lid on top would open up and a little Ze Frank head would pop out, and it would just talk to me about my problems. Whenever I try and explain what it is that makes it special it always starts seeming odd to me, especially if I'm talking to relatives who don't spend that much time on the internet. It's just become natural to me to express my thoughts through typing and posting about the things I love.

On one end cats are this soft, furry, cute little things that can make the most adorable sound when out of nowhere they attack you and you end up all scratched up.
And the weird part is that then they look at you and have no idea why you are upset.

The weirdest part is that we keep these little strange furry alien creatures in our houses. Why??

Not sure if this is going to help or just make things worse, but when you think of it, those things along with maybe sport and socialising with friends (which usually only consists of discussing those topics anyway) really make up everything that we consider enjoyable. Ultimately the only function work plays is to provide us with the means to enjoy ourselves, so if art, books and music are pointless then so is everything else. But as the video shows, it's all about how you choose to perceive it.

I am staring at a brightly coloered box that spews imagines and sound, made by people far away from by molding bits of plastic and metal together, designed by people much smarter than most of everyone I know, and watching someone I've never met talk about their thoughts and feelings to a bunch of strangers.
    It doesn't feel weird yet.

I have a hand thing too. Sometimes, I become acutely aware of the veins on the top of my hands, and the tendons on and near my wrists. I stare, and pretty soon it seems so frigging disgusting and weird that such delicate things are so close to a surface that can't protect them from being severed that I can't look at them, they even FEEL different, like the revelation has changed them. But, then I forget, and the cycle begins anew. Even typing it weirds me out.

I always thought that too! But a part of that reason is cows just eat plants but humans eat a lot of things not good for their body so it can generally be said that cow milk is a bit safer to drink or at least will have a more consistent taste when drank.

This is a contraption that is made of aluminum composites and sometimes a trunk of what used to be a living thing. When combined with a white fibrous hydrocarbon structure that a candy was named after it becomes more comfortable to sit on. Some of these aluminum composite/ dead trunk structures are created to spin in a 180 degree or a full 360 or a full repeating 360.

I have this thing with breathing, I mean, sometimes I become strangely aware of every breath I take, and the effort put in each, and it makes me anxious, it feels as if breathing is a struggle to survive. It's very difficult to come back to normal in such a situation

When practising speaking languages in school, I always had a tendency to watch their faces as they spoke, because I'd figured it was polite to make eye contact and to connect, but the more I stared at their faces, the more different they began to become. It was a fairly strange experience if I do say so myself :-P

Sometimes I look at my hands and realize that I exist. I become aware of me, and how every single person has their own "me" and that I'll never really know what it's like to call that person me. I feel like it's weird that this body is mine, that these thoughts are mine. And then my whole life, all of my memories, even my present, they suddenly don't seem any different from my future, as vague as a dream.
Those "lucid" moments make me realize exactly how insignificant life's "problems" are.

I was lying down while watching this video and it made me think about what my house would be like if gravity suddenly changed to be under my feet. Suddenly my house turned into a jungle gym-like maze with trap doors and ladders and climbing walls. I wouldn't mind living in that world for a few hours.

Yesterday it was raining outside and my house was still. I thought how amazing it was that someone years ago had taken stones and hit them hard until they were the shape of my house and how it never changed back again. A burst of intention and my house was, while everything outside kept changing. And I filled it with things, and there are lamps and chairs and spoons inside of it and they are all still and unless I move them they won't move for years. It's all dry and motionless. That's weird.
