Any alcohol will do. Many folks prefer brandy

The alcohol would be used as preservative for flower essences. Generally 40% alcohol will be fine. The alcohol isn't extracting active compounds
Do you have to strain out the flowers? What happens if you keep them in the water
You do need to strain out the flowers. The main concern would be the flowers rotting in the water without a lot more alcohol
What's the "berki" filtration mentioned for city tap water?
Berkey is a brand of filtration system that I use.
What are they used for?
They are often used as emotional support or clarity
