I have a friend who just moved into an apartment on his own! For the first time here in germany. He's been wanting this projector for a while, It'd be a nice surprise to give it to him.

cool video, thanks for reviewing it! I'm considering buying one of these but I want to flip the image and mount it to the ceiling. Is there a mount on the bottom and is there a way to flip the image in the software so it looks right side up? I'm in a room with a lot of windows without darkening curtains, do you think this would still work? Is this still your favorite choice for a projector like this (after 18 months?) Seems like the projector of my dreams! - Except for the price
It looks like you have a faulty unit. The sides are supposed to be straight like the top and bottom. Not curved inwards. I've had several before I got one that didn't have this issue. One of them curved in the top right side and lower left. The other one did it at the top of each side. It's not an issue that can be fixed by adjusting the keystoning.

Hello, congrats on the video, I really enjoyed it. I think the UST projectors are the way to go. Would you recommend also getting an ambient light rejection screen?
It's a small upgrade from the last version from a 1000 lumens to 1500 they should of made it at least 3000 lumens and 4k it would of been a major go
And when a model which can do 3000 lumens and 4k comes out, you'll complain that it could do 5000 lumens and 8k, of course.
Well, LG just announced their 2,500 lumen 4k short throw projector this weekend.

i can be used during the day,but projector did not have ambient light rejecting ability ,so you need Ambient light rejecting screen to combine then can work well like a tv.Projector + screen is one set equipment .Otherwise no matter how good of the projector,it can't work well on daylight .

I just received mine from Amazon but unfortunately it is DOA. Fans turn on but no image. :( Seems to be sold out everywhere so getting a replacement is proving tough for now.

The image looks crooked on the right and bent in, on the bottom. Was it because of your wall?
Does anyone know what the height is from the floor to the top edge of the screen with the screen on its smallest setting?
I have got a set of drawers and am not sure if the screen will fit on the wall before hitting my ceiling
This looks like a good home solution but they seem to have forgotten OTA TV tuner to make it a drop in replacement.
Try the one from Xiaomi and compare it please.

That image looks distorted at bottom center. Seems LG hasn’t been able to fix that problem yet.
They suck at quality control. They have some major issues with the reflectors. Out of the four I've had I had to send two of them back because some parts of the picture would be out of focus. As you can see in some parts of this video you can also see the top sides of the picture curving inwards. This can't be solved by keystone adjustment. The picture will still have rounded sides and not be rectangular. I had the same problem with the ones I sent back. It's horrible to look at.
A common complaint about laser pico projectors was that they have a noticeable moving horizontal scan line. There is a noticeable scan line on this demo. Is that from your video camera or actually visible in person?
Goliathon's Cave its due to camera framerate. Not seeable actually.

I just bought this projector, but there is no netflix, hulu, amazon in the LG content store. How did you find them? I called LG support and they said they just don't have it on this model. Why is that... Please let me know if you know the solution. Thanks a lot!
Got it today. Returning it tomorrow. LG told me to stick a roku in it. I was so bummed. My Pf50ka is a better projector overall. This is just basically a giant tv.

Como haces una review de un proyector proyectando a esa "pantalla" ?? Te puedo poner proyectores de 500 euros dando mil veces mas calidad proyectando sobre una pared preparada o una pantalla en condiciones. Esta review para cualquier entendido en proyectores es una aberración, no le sacas un minimo de provecho a ese proyector. Para colmo es que ni lo pones recto.
