I remembered when I was moving Power Armor Frames to the castle to make it all T45 Minutemen and then there's a bunch of fire, I went out and I accidentally shot 2 Minutemen luckily they just went down, I realized the real threat is like 1 raider, even a BoS knight came to help

I just did this against the insttute for the first time. I have eight heavy turrets (lasers, missiles and machine guns) on every wall and another eight facing inside the courtyard. I have 28 settlers/minutemen, codsworth, preston, cait and deacon as well as 2 robots i built. I was expecting a fight but I honestly didn't have to do anything. Coursers die in seconds, I dont lose a man.
@@nexbil01 odds need to be 10 to 1 against for an effective siege. Obviously the Institute didnt retain a copy of 'the art of war.'.. they have no chance with about thirty synths.
no, this is the defend the castle quest. You can use console commands to trigger the event and choose to defend from institute, raiders, gunners, brotherhood, or super mutants. Supposedly you can also defend against mirelurks but I've never gotten it to do that.
@@roque87 you can set it for super mutants, gunners, institute, brotherhood, or raiders. I've heard of a mirelurk option but cant seem to find how to trigger it.

the castle event is probably the best repeatable vanilla event in the game

I should just let the minutemen defend the castle. they have more than enough firepower themselves

I wish this battle was more involved. They should have let the institute keep the power armor

@@ianbailey3924 I used to join in but it was honestly overkill against these guys. Now I just let the minutemen defend by themselves and just watch
