Yeah the story is kind of complicated. His dad was abusive but he and Ricky still had the dad + son relationship that makes it hard to push him away. A lot of his songs at first glance seem like they could be about typical love stuff but when you look deeper they’re really about his dad. Sad stuff. My favorite it Sorry For Me
