A lot of people would recommend using it with another weapon and play it like a Swole build. So, like use the Money Shooter only when you want that BURST of damage, like you would Giantkiller, except now it's Tactics, and you are not Swole, you actually die. I'd meme with a Cursed Sword and this thing.
a rouge like that does what you're talking about is Wizard of Legend. It's theoretically possible to change your loadout mid run, but it will cost you in ways that make it usually a bad idea. The entire point is to find synergies and learn how to use each spell to greatest effect, not to just find a bigger spell with bigger numbers. For that reason, the game tends not to show damage numbers other than your own health if i remember right.
I still haven't used this weapon I wanted to get the rest of the weapons first. Mentioning foregone brings back memories already I actually thought that game was pretty good
On one of my runs I got legendary money shooter out of the bank (it was just before a last biome and last 2 bosses). It was so smooth, i enjoied it very much. At the end i've grabbed a smoke bomb to boost its numbers, so on last boss i did like 900k damage in 1 hit.
Dude how are you using your lightning bolt when it's in your backpack?! It doesn't let me use anything in my backpack unless it's in any of the other slots
