    The spiral dough hook does a better job, doesn't stress the kitchen aid as much as the c shaped one. The bowl lift model is better than the tilt head.

    KitchenAid makes another model of Stand Mixer called a Bowl Lift Model.
    They said that the Bowl Lift has a lot of torque and power for tougher doughs.

    You should do a comparison of the Omcan heavy duty spiral mixer ($17,000 CAD) vs the fridgidare 4.5L ($75 CAD). That would make a great video too.

    Just got my Sun 6 yesterday. First off, what an amazing piece of kit. Built like a tank. Leaps above the Famag IM-5S I was able to use locally at a friend's house. Not even in the same league in terms of build quality, the Sun6 is a 10 star product. Piu bella macchina! I've made 2 doughs so far (pizza and ciabatta 80% this AM). The end product is out of this world... The pizza dough is in the middle of a 48 hour CT but straight of the mixer was the silkiest dough I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Same with the ciabatta which I'm still laminating for tonight. I can't recommend this mixer enough at this point.
    That being said...
    The only concern I have is the inverter is making quite a bit of hissing. I'd expect a bit of hum out of an inverter but this is quite pronounced/loud. The hiss from 70-100 is more like a slight electrical whistle/hum, but once it hits 100RPM it changes to more of a hum/buzz/hiss + static-like white noise. It's quite pronounced/loud and you can hear it across the room as otherwise the mixer is overall quiet mechanically speaking (especially compared to a Kitchen Aid). Once the mixer is at or near 210 it's a bit harder to discern over the mechanical noise but it's still there given the sort of frequency it's at.
    The question is, is this transition and pronounced hum normal? I'd expect a bit of a hiss/hum from an inverter but this was again quite pronounced/loud.
    This is the link to the video I made that shows the sound. If YT deletes the comment I'll try to figure another way to link it (i.e. not URL).

    Good job man! I also noticed that you have the same problem as me with the kitchen Aid, the head is not stable and the lock is taking off, it's very annoyng and i took it to fix under warranty three times. Ciao e complimenti!

      I use the sunmix 6kg and I really love it. Kitchen Aid is good and cheap, but I don’t think is the best one for beginner.

    That standard KItchenaid C dough hook sucks. Get an aftermarket spiral hook and it’s a game changer. Dough doesn’t crawl up the hook.

    • @playnicegames

    This is not a meaningful comparison. You should compare the KA Commercial (with 1.3HP motor) to Sunmix 6. The KA you used is an entry grade KA that is not great for bread dough.

    • @GrazianiHomemade
      @GrazianiHomemade  2 года назад +4

      Kitchen aid is what most people have, sunmix is what a lot of people would like to buy.

    • @bradstraw4133
      @bradstraw4133 10 месяцев назад

      Doesn't really matter. KA, I just burned mine out, can't really compete against a good spiral mixer for heavy doughs. This sunmix 6 or the Famag 5s is by far better than the KA. No comparison

    • @e30Birdy
      @e30Birdy 5 месяцев назад

      You can't compare a Planetary with a spiral at all. I don't care if the planetary has 1.3hp or not. Spiral will always beat it because a spiral actually stretches and folds the dough

    To be honest comparing a Sunmix to a kitchen aid to a Sunmix is like comparing a chicken to a cabbage. Pretty, pretty pointless really as there is no comparison.

      Hi Tony I appreciate your point of you. I made this video for who bought the kitchen aid and still struggling to make a good dough, giving them some tips and showing them the sunmix to motivate why should be better in investing a little bit more money in a professional mixer.
