I‘m located in Frankfurt, Germany and I love the Ramsey show. You are just Fantastic God bless all the Ramsey Show Team. Mr. Ramsey is a great man. I and my son learned a lot from him.
The call where the guy was about to call CPS on his family was what I needed to hear. Not his situation but your feedback. Currently being on my own financial independence journey I see everything different. Someone I know is in a bad spot and keeps making bad decisions. Being on the outside looking in I know what needs to be done but it’s not for me to do. Your insight to being in that position was refreshing and gave me a slight relief.
To the first caller Laura, take the advice. My man had been an alcoholic for 20 years and it did NOT stop until he got a 3rd dui and i finally left him. He is struggling so much right now financially because of his consequences but he is thankfully finally sober and so much a better person and man. You have to make the first hard decision if he does not change AFTER you talk to him about this issue.
I have to disagree. My spouse is an alcoholic and has been for 20 years. 3 duis later and drowning in debt, he is finally seeking real help and healing. He goes to aa on his own. I regularly urine test him to help him keep himself honest, and he has been sober for over 3 months now. People do change. They have to be willing to do it on their own.

I feel for that woman with that hefty house payment. We almost made the same mistake. We have a household income of $150k, and $65k savings, only debt is 1 car and student loans, newborn in the picture too. With these interest rates and housing prices we can’t do it. We’d be house broke and that’s no fun. Going to save for two more years minimum.
The last 2 years many people had NO business buying a house. We have milllions of people in the USA trapped in their own gold cages. What joy is found in owning a home you cannot afford?
First caller: He only drinks on the weekend so he may not be THAT bad but he still needs to dial it back a lot because it could get worse. Plus the financial side of it. They can’t afford it. But true alcoholics don’t just drink on the weekend and John made her situation out to be worse than it is. He has a habit of doing that. If a situation is bad then it’s bad. If a situation is horrific then it’s horrific. Don’t call a bad situation, horrific. Don’t exaggerate. I heard him one time almost try to force a lady to say her husband was doing something and she was adamant that it wasn’t the case. He sometimes creates these scenarios in his head lol that lady did not sound afraid and it didn’t sound like she was walking on eggshells. People who walk on eggshells don’t ask questions about finances every week. I hope he gets the help he needs and gets on the plan.
You're so wrong that "true alcoholics don't just drink on the weekend". Many are hard knuckling it all week due to job, travel etc and get black out drunk when they have days off. From an RN....
I agree with almost everything this show advocates -except one. I think everyone should have one credit card that they pay off in full each month. Here us why: 1. If you try to rent a car on vacation, they won't give it on a debit card, they require a credit card. 2. Ramsey is ok with mortgage on home you luce in as long as payment us not more than 25% of gross income ન e as long as you pay 20% down. You will end up paying a higher interest rate if you do not have a good credit score. If you are disciplined enough to manage without a credit card, you are disciplined enough to have one and pay it off in full every month.
And I think if he does not do so regularly, his show will suffer as he is the only one who has deep knowledge, both academic and personal, about the many areas of finances and can give more nuanced answers.
He’s not going to be able to work forever and he’s giving us the gift of new personalities that believe in his core teachings to give us this free gift. I am happy to have these hosts.
That man is on 60s, he has worked very hard for what he has and has the right to take a break. Don't be selfish, you can miss him while wishing him well. He's living like nobody else which is something that he worked for and deserves to do. He needs to out there spending his money not hosting this show saying what he has been saying for the past 100 years because people don't listen.
1:18:37 if Dana in LA, who is currently living with her brother, buys a 1 bedroom condo/townhouse with him, where is HE going to sleep? Wish Jade and John had asked that question.
That Woody guy...his girlfriend is his companion, but not his wife. She might be his best friend but she's not his wife. He might be the one who is paying the bills, but she's Still Not his wife. That is the life they chose with each other, and he even admitted they were breaking up until she got sick. Now he's feeling responsible for her, but his question also sounds like he doesn't want to be trapped.
She's the common law wife. It's still a wife go look it up in dictionay it has its meaning. 20 years is a long time to be trapped with someone just for companionship. They do everything a married couples do, So what's so wrong to be called a wife?
I would recommend to buy house sooner than later before home prices jump in selling prices. You just have to have a regular emergency fund for your primary home and second emergency fund of $20,000 to $30,000 for the rental home.
Yes, Ian, you should get a loan to pay off the IRS because of the fees and to get them out of your hair. The RS people would never tell anyone to get a loan, but in this case it makes the best sense because I truly believe you have learned your lesson now and won't repeat this mistake. Best of luck to you! The IRS is fearsome - and now they've added another 87,000 agents.
It is quite worrying how John jumps to conclusions and makes assumptions about peoples situations without all of the information. He needs to be careful or his advice can lead to so real damage,

Just read about him - he has two BAs somewhat related to psychology and his PhD dissertation was not on anxiety but on how counsellors work. I mean, he has definitely studied more than I have but he's not the authority on the subject he purports to be.
I'm sick of these people buying too much house lol good grief what happened to 200k homes, yeah they are overpriced but that's not a reason to buy outside of your budget lol
There aren't many of them in many regions. That's what happened. Where I live, they're building nothing but luxury housing. People like me who live in smaller homes that aren't considered luxury aren't selling because 1) we're locked into low interest rates on our mortgages, and 2) how are we going to afford the upgrade to luxury housing? It's like we're in a deadlock! I'd love to move, but I can't even afford a lateral move because of interest rates. In order to make a lateral move, I'd need far more than a 20% down payment because interest rates have made homes similarly priced to mine completely unaffordable!
@@davidb2206 That's not entirely true. The cheap homes are in horrific neighborhoods with drugs and gun violence. Who's moving there? The fixer uppers you're referencing are knock downs if they're within decent commuting distance. Who's dropping $200k to knock down a house? I've been looking. Believe me! The ones in the $200-300k range are much further out, meaning commuting to the urban job turns into 2 hours each way with traffic.
@@davidb2206 I'm well aware of that. However, there's a stark contrast between North Philadelphia and a small town in Chester County, PA. Not to mention, many of those country folk are also carrying, but for different purposes. (I'm from Pennsylvania, so those are local reference points that you may not be familiar with.) That said, there are plenty of small towns in this area where gun violence exists but it is often linked to larger drug and gang-related violence from Philly. Domestic issues, of course, not withstanding as those are of a private nature. I've lived in both suburban/country and city neighborhoods throughout my life and now divide my time roughly between the two (with more time usually spent in the city). So I have a pretty darn good idea about the situation.
In regards to the drinking husband, many people are high functioning when drinking. I have a family member who, if you didn’t know he was drinking, his behavior only changes slightly. It is more dangerous imo, but he’s still under 30 and in denial. One day the lack of a young metabolism is going to cost him dearly. 18 months ago, he fell asleep behind the wheel, didn’t hurt anyone besides himself and his vehicle, and still told a complete stranger his wife’s phone number with area code.
A lot of mortgages are underwater now bc people bought at ridiculously inflated prices last year just bc interest rates were low. They all followed one another over the cliff!
I feel for the first caller but I think he took it way further as if he knew we the whole situation, this man needs to understand she called for financial advice
When one of the hosts jokes that he's still trying to figure out why he's there, it doesn't breed confidence. I know (hope) he's joking, but it's simply not a good look. As someone who has listened to every single episode for the past 8 years, it makes me cringe. As for Jade and her long nails hampering her ability to press the buttons, it's certainly annoying, however Dave himself messes up the buttons from time to time. He usually blames the booth people, but then realizes it's his own error.
It's more than not a good look - it puts any advice into the questionable column - and far too much serious therapy going on here judging a situation with just a few minutes of background. When the RS talks about relationships, they should stick to more manageable problems. This is not the forum to address child abuse, alcoholic spouses, and various addictions all of which require far more in-depth counseling than a few sentences on a call-in show which is geared primarily to financial issues.
@@Trustbutverify2651 I agree 100%. Oh, for the days when this was a financial advice show, not a pop psychology show. Psychological "advice" given in a two minute sound bite is dangerous.

And it’s hard to listen to when she does it… I enjoy many parts of her, but definitely think she needs to read the comments on these recent videos because the people are talkin and we’re all feeling like she’s just taking over conversations to much and we would like to hear more of what the other personalities are saying. Especially John I love him he’s so helpful and so many people need to hear him.
Jade, consider shopping somewhere besides Target. Research what they are doing with marketing the LGBTQ items to children, their whole month of pride push, etc. Do you really want to give your money to that?
After the disastrous display last summer with the bold push for tuck-it swimwear and the in-your-face promotion of trans lifestyles, I cut up my Target debit and credit cards and will never set foot in their stores again. Enough is enough. All of us work with gays and most of us do so very collegially, but I don't want their lifestyle pushed on me when I'm just trying to shop for groceries, household items, and clothes.

That ooooooh note Dr. Delony hit😆
Not watching anymore unless it's George, Ken, and Dave. These 3 rock. The rest ain't working out. I can't be the only one who sees this
I am with you in addition to Rachel… I love her 😍
Get Jade away from the buttons lol

Woody should just be alone.
Jade is the best
What the heck is up with woody. lol
That 500k house is underwater now. That’s why the bank wants a appraisal before they can sell it. You goofed up dude
A lot of mortgages are underwater now bc people bought at ridiculously inflated prices last year just bc interest rates were low. They all followed one another over the cliff!
I'm surprised Jade is wearing a Nirvana shirt on the Ramsey show.
I feel for the first caller but I think he took it way further as if he knew we the whole situation, this man needs to understand she called for financial advice
1:27:00 he’s catholic 🥴😂💀💀💀💀💀💀
@@davidb2206 I was hoping he was joking, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Dr. D is phishing for compliments. He needs to address this with his therapist over some queso.
Regarding the first caller, she needs to join her husband in being an alcoholic. Problem solved. 😎
With changes in the economy leading to instability in the stock market, some individuals may face a decrease in their investments in an effort to benefit from the current market conditions, I am considering liquidating my $725k portfolio consisting of bonds and stocks. Someone else in the same situation? Please tell me in the comments!..
@Katarina Perler I have been exploring the possibility of utilizing advisors to help navigate the stock market during these uncertain times. However, I am still evaluating their potential effectiveness in providing the support I need.
@user-xu1id7uz6o I was considering changing my investment strategy and planning to sell certain positions. As my retirement is coming soon,I became increasingly stressed. After thoroughly researching Christy Valco D'souza on the internet, I concluded that I had made an informed decision. Thank you for this Pointer. She seems very proficient and flexible. I booked a call session with her too.
I like Jade but unfortunately I feel like shes becoming to much. 😬
She dose interrupt and take over a lot. And it’s hard to listen to when she does it…
I enjoy many parts of her, but definitely think she needs to read the comments on these recent videos because the people are talkin and we’re all feeling like she’s just taking over conversations to much and we would like to hear more of what the other personalities are saying. Especially John I love him he’s so helpful and so many people need to hear him.
It’s too not to
@@3roachkidsdhe oh my gosh excuse my grammar 😶 I’ve never been great with it.
The alcoholic husband is probably on the verge of getting violent. Get out now girl 🙏
Alcohol is the reason why we meet someone an get married, you need it for a successful marriage, switch to light beer

Too casual about money talk.
I don't like this duo separately, either 😉
