Honestly, all I want for Newsom is for him to spend one day in any downtrodden part of California without his massive entourage of security, handlers, policy wonks, and Deep State agents. Amazing how they cleaned up S.F. for the Chinese government visit, pushing the homeless into other neighborhoods until after the meetings, then right back to the way it was.
So major national retailers are leaving because they are 'struggling to recover'. Don't think so Newsome. National chains close because they are losing profits, either due to declining sales or theft (guess which is being encouraged in Democrat run cities?).

With politicians it's always a singular answer. They ignore statistics supporting their assertions. Silicon Valley, a narcissistic endeavor to concentrate the state's wealth in their hands did this. Tech industry personnel drive the prices of rental homes so high in the Bay Area that now everyone is fleeing north above Sacramento doing the very same thing to the last of farm and natural resources wetlands. In three years the population of Placer County has exploded with Bay Area narcissists disrupting our country towns. Public Libraries are no longer encouraging casual conversation between librarians and regular customers. Grocery store personnel are stressed with low staffing help. The urban nightmare has infected what was left of small town living.
I have lived in SF for the last fifty years, the downfall of SF started with Gavin Newsom and haven't let up!
