I love these fish a lot because of the way they behave, swim and rest with their body on leaves! But they get big, very big.

B4, anyone goes out and gets a school of 5-6-or 7 (true) Siamese Algea Eaters, as suggested in this video... Keep in mind, as these fish get to adult size, which is 6-7", they stray off algea & onto whatever majority flake or pellet foods you've been feeding it's/their tankmates in its stead. It's pretty much a 💯% transition, too, ignoring both live & supplemented disc algeas both entirely for the other stuff. Also, they live a long time & their colors will dim as well as time passes from year to year. I know all this cause I've got one that's just over 6", 10 y/o & hasn't fed on algea for years now. So, in the end, you'll be stuck w/ 5-7 fishes that will outlive the majority of inhabitants you coexist them w/, all the while have given up on algea clean-up & w/ some 30-45 gallons being given up to your now school of 6" fishes that won't be going anywhere anytime soon. GET 1, 2 TOPS... or a juvenile Bristle-Nosed Albino Pleco... My go to algea eating machine.

Great fish. The best algae eaters ever. Feed them broccoli and cucumber.
