Yeah I was told that the devs replaced the model in the early chapters to make this character stand out... good old door kicking Murdoch.... with that great facial hair. xD Thanks Blake. :D
Aww, sucks you didnt go for the environmental kill with those two HECU guys standing around the train station, there was a bit of comedic dialogue with Murdoch if you chose the "sneakier" alternative
The security guards really were the right call for Blue Shift tbh. These guys add so much needed personality to the segments which were originally really bland. Though the maps are kinda too big...
i _really_ want the characters from this game to live, and then be canonized by valve. Imagine Barney, Murdoch, Otis and Gorden all teaming up to take on the combine.
My routine has always been a stroke of genius... it's easy to win with lots of health and armour... the fear of being near death will push you to be better (even if you die 90 times before you win)... yes, am bad at games. xD
@@RockyRockhead Its funny, we play in opposite but similar ways... I try not to take any damage, saving after encounters and reloading if I don't do it perfect, trying again until I'm satisfied. You (sometimes) take enough damage to leave you with only one hit left, so you also have to do it perfect or it loads the save back for you when you die 😂
i think you have it mixed up a bit lolol, rocky's talking about the original blue shift, opposing force came first, then blue shift, then black mesa, then bm blue shift
@@kawa69 no i mean like that's why they released bm blue shift, before bm opposing force. Because original blue shift was better received than opposing force.
I can understand liking Blue Shift more, but what world are you living in where Opposing Force was less well-liked? I almost never hear people talking about Blue Shift.

The mod is good but I'm not really a fan of some places being remade to the point that they have barely any similarly to the original Blue Shift maps. For example the map at 25:25 is barely recognisable to the original map. The best thing about Black Mesa is when maps are remade to look and feel similar to the original Half Life maps while being very different at the same time, and much of that isn't here. Then again this problem is present only in the HECU fights so it doesn't matter that much anyway.
I saw so many relations to the original. You wouldn't compliment crowbar collectives for leaving xen as the trash it was. You'd praise them for improving it even though they changed it in a drastic way.
@@davidkim5462 The Black Mesa chapters are remade to look and feel similar to the original maps, while Xen was ment to be completely new (cause lots of people hated the original Xen) What the modders do here is make a new completely different non-Xen map that doesn't resemble the original map at all. I'm OK if they make the Xen chapter 'Focal point' completely new but what they do in this mod is just dumb One last thing, the original Xen isn't that bad, in fact I would probably put the 'interloper' chapter in my top 5 favorite chapters of Half Life

I agree but I feel like this problem also applies to the original Black Mesa, a lot of creative liberties are made that really hurt the level design and make it a lot more confusing to traverse and a lot less fun to fight in.
To answer your question at 14 minutes in. The door kicking guard with Otis is named Murdoch.

Thanks for playing! ;)
33:19 Nice Grenade toss!
Is no one gonna talk about that "pater dead pose" on 13:47? XD

12:29 goodbye loot boxes
Also damn Barney went ham after breaking out of that train

This team is absolutely awesome... I agree... make them canon and create a left 4 dead style game with them in it. :D
32:42 Rest assured Rocky... that bit with the missile had me dying.
51:22 Love the Rocket fights!
56:24 Onward to the end! Great Video Rocky!
The music is amazing
FACTS! :D
Finally the good stuff is happening
this was so fun to watch!
I'm very glad you enjoyed it, Lindsey. Thanks for watching it! :D
3:40 - 100 HP, 45 armor.
6:00 - 2 HP. "Time to quicksave!"
🤦♂️😂 Oh boy, here we go again.

"pow, pow"
You don't need to make the sounds otis!
Meanwhile rocky: POW HAHA
The particale accelerators is donuts
@39:24 You playing chicken with a train?
My brain made it's choice at the very last minute... the train won. xD
Wow that glare in the railyard section is bad.
Yeah, I think the devs need to make it so that Barney's eyes adapt to the light to remove the glare, because yeah... it was very bad. xD
You were like a bull in this episode !
I slept only a few hours the night before so my brain just kept telling me to run head first into battle... it doesn't work that well. xDDD
This game looks like it uses unreal engine 4 or id tech 5
It's the source engine
Black Mesa has brought up source 1 to its peak. Graphics look phenomenal.
Rocky this looks like an awesome mod! I bet this'll bring in more subs for ya!
The best content
Thanks very much! :D
nice
Hey rocky have you ever play half life: decay
Another expansion of half life
I haven't, because it's co op.... I know there is a solo mod coming out and I'm waiting for that :D
he broke the crate but he did not get the armor at 43:57 😭😭😭

blueshift very well received, which is why it came out after blackmesa. The one people didn't like much was opposing force.
