Thank you young man for the professional, artistic, and historical work you do concerning COGIC. A preacher and his wife took my orphan mother in when she was a teenager with no place to go and started the legacy of our family in this great Church. Glad to be saved and Holy Ghost filled because a COGIC preacher and congregation prayed fasted and tarried with me 44 years ago. It was a COGIC preacher who walked into my mother's deathbed and rebuked death. Again thank you.
Bishop Brooks was one of the longest serving GB members and one of the eldest (in age) on the board. I remember when Brooks came to the UK in fact if you go into our UK hq in the foyer area theres a large framed photo of Bishop P A Brooks with Bishop Alvin Blake our current jurisdictional Bishop. As a near lifelong Greater Grace Temple member, I also have the great Bishop P.A. Brooks' sermons in my library of videos. As a guy in my twenties, I would record The New St. Paul Tabernacle broadcast on VHS, and play it (along with some other ministries) almost every single day. However it's been a long time since I've played VHS tapes. But Bishop Brooks taught me a lot since my youth... and I still have those old 1990s tapes. It's so sad (with the world crisis that we are facing) that I can not attend the Homegoing service. And only very FEW can at a time. But I am so grateful that, as a very young guy, I was open minded enough to listen to the late great Bishop P.A. Brooks... And not only hear... But be ministered to. May GOD comfort ALL of us who mourn (but especially the immediate loved ones).
This is the new way of funerals & remembrances. I guess it's better to remember our loved ones as they were in life. Yah bless & comfort his family & friends.
