Every year I come back to this video because my brother is in it...I wasn’t able to get out of our car at the time so I watched from afar, my brother still has the signed shirt! I’m glad that he could meet Shaq.
I saw something like this on an episode of COPS once where someone called in a complaint of kids playing basketball and it was in Florida too ironically. It was a grumpy old woman who called in.
In Muskegon, Mich. There was a time when you knew all the police, Great cops officer Bostrom ,officer Hood, officer Riley I can go on,but then one day in the 80's that all change...they called it the war on drugs....gone are the police who know everyone by name and you would give your life for. So you see this makes me feel good inside and know there's hope
I wish more people were like the humble police officer. Most of the comments on here are about Shaq. The officer took the time and care to be a good example and he spent time with those kids, getting to know them. I’m iffed he got pushed into the background here in Shaq’s shadow. The greatest heroes never get the honor they deserve.
No this was NOT FROM THE 90S!!! This was only from 2016! Kids still play outside! That hasn't all ended for crying out loud! Kids where I live still play outside. Quit assuming that every video you see of kids playing was from before the 2000s because there's still kids that play outside
@@beckybooboo600 calm down idiot. He didn’t say this specific video was from the 90’s. He’s saying back in the 90’s this was normal for the police to do with kids throughout the community.
Oh goodness, the cops name is BOBBY WHITE.... That might be the most caucasian name ever 😂😂😂 goes to play basketball with black kids and ends up getting backup from Shaq.... That is just awesome and hilarious at the same time 😂😂😂 Kudos to both of them 👍😀👍
Used tovHATE Shaq as a Celtics fan. Now that he's retired... I'm constantly asking how can ANYONE hate this guy ??? Bought his autobiography, and just a really genuine guy, in my opinion.
I hope there was some sort of follow up to the person that made the call-seriously. I can't envision any scenario where a person of sound mind would call the police on children playing basketball at 5:00 PM. Whoever did needs a wellness check, and I'm not trying to be humorous, I'm being serious.
That's what's up, that's what the power of celebrity should do to inspire us young bucks!! Pretty cool. Hope whoever see this comment, i hope all is safe and healthy with you and your family. If not, than for what its worth if any at all, what ever religion you believe if any at all,i hope it helps you through this crazy ass time!! Gang gang fellow humans.
Imagine if you're the Karen who called this in. You see a bunch of cops roll up and think you're going to get your way, and instead Shaq jumps out and starts handing out Benjamins.
That's what a public basketball park is for , I mean why can't Shaquille O'Neal provide these kids a gym for them to play in, for their saftey and peace, the last thing these people want to hear after coming home from a long days of work is more noises ,think about it
I respect shaq for that but imagine if he would of taken that game to heart fouling blocking slapping the ball down the road Lol this is my house😵 shaq has a heart of gold
The caller should be thanked, had he NOT made the call none of this would have happened, sometimes what seems to be a silly thing to do, winds up in the end with something far more valuable
These are the cops we need all around America. 💔🙏🏽

No you just gotta raise your kids correctly in order for him to be a good cop :)
@@mollies13way to ruin a good message. We all know there’s not good people in uniform *cough* Daniel Holtzclaw *cough*
Shaq is a true American Hero! It’s above love, working together and respect for your fellow man. #Shaqclass
The officer was the hero. Shaq is the best, but I’m sad the officer was shoved out of the picture.
Lol imagine being the person that called.. not only did they not get quiet, but the cops throw a block party with Shaq 😂
and kids meeting a basketball legend
Every year I come back to this video because my brother is in it...I wasn’t able to get out of our car at the time so I watched from afar, my brother still has the signed shirt! I’m glad that he could meet Shaq.
Hope he's doing well. Look impactful
Dude that’s awesome lol
That’s awesome. Please remember the officer as well. He was the greatest inspiration in this.
your bro looked happy along with his buddies how often does Shaq come by
The caller should have been arrested for wasting the officers time.
It wasn't a waste. The caller should receive royalties from the 15 million views.
At lest they aren’t playing video games
People complain about the dumbest things
Ya think?🙄
I think watching the officer join the game was all the torture he needed. These kids could've been doing way worse things.
That huddle and talking about respect to parents and elders is amazing
Much respect to Shaq and the police officer.......Shaq always doing something good for people.Much love
I would have loved to have seen the children's facial expressions when they realised it was ShaQ ..priceless!
I never get tired of this story. 👏 👏
@1:28 Shaq: “Uh oh uh oh, it’s Shaq and Barkley!” 🤣🤣🤣 Always roasting him even during a pick up game with kids
tears tears tears of joy! a very positive situation! playing with the police officer, priceless!
This is what would make America great again! Love, respect and community. ❤

Love you back, Shaq❤❤❤
What about the real hero, the officer??
That’s just too sweet
"I will respect my peers, my elders, and especially my parents"
And WE will respect YOU Shaq 😊
The cop answered Shaq....beautiful people.
I will respect my peers...my elders...and my parents. Good saying
I love the fact he starts to ball with them… I know that neighbor was mad asf! 😂

karen
I love this video!!! Both Shaw and the police officer are great citizens
At 5:00 o clock kids nowadays would be in their air-conditioned room playing video games and thats me and 5 0 clock.
My memory must be failing me because I don’t remember asking
This was nowadays...
Shaq steppin out his car, dude says "gahhhh damn!!"
I love him so much, and I wish more people would just be kind and empathetic towards others!
Thisnis why Shaq is the GOAT.
Shaq is such a sweetheart and the kids seemed to be having a ball
What can we say he’s outstanding!! He will always be my favorite player!

This is where it starts
This is beautiful 💯🙏🏻
The voice who said, "God damn," upon seeing Shaq is priceless.

Love & respect for shaq from India. I Dont know much about him, but the message he gives to the kids & young ones are admirable. ❤
Did you even notice it was the police officer who made the difference?? He’s the one who did a good and humble thing.
Hes such a good guy.
What a legend shaq turning up was just fantastic, a great roll model with excellent advise 🏀👍🏻
The officer is a legend.
Shaq has the best heart.
That was life before 2000s growing up in the 90s that was normal for cops to hang out especially before cops became soldiers

hopefully everyone got a free copy of Shaq's dope album Shaq Diesel. ...

ZikaGang #ZikaBlock700 and his hit video game Shaq Fu on your choice of SNES or Genesis! :)

Not complete without a DVD copy of Steel.
Great to see true leaders
Kids need to be outside playing basketball ! It beats being stuck on mindless video games! I back the kids playing outside!

I know the kids and the cops loved it

Awsome!
See not every police officer is bad :D
Money didn't change him he's still one of us.
Shaq cant even disguise himself so he can make a surprise to them at the end. you see a giant like this you know is Shaq
ALL according to plan. hehehe - kid playing basketball

That news anchor just had to slide racism in there didn’t he, why can’t we just talk like we’re all humans. More we talk about it, more it spreads
More cops like this pleaseeeee
Respect does not mean blindly mimic/emulate or tolerate abuse from.
Yo kids! Shaq’s on the Blaq!
Must be Karen calling to complain
Imagine if you're the Karen who called this in. You see a bunch of cops roll up and think you're going to get your way, and instead Shaq jumps out and starts handing out Benjamins.
Yesss!😎😎😎😎😎
Someone should get Shaq to say "Hello my children"
GAH DAMN is the only appropriate reaction to randomly seeing shaq
1:22 Cop laughing in the back looks like Gronk
Karen was like omg so much noise must call cops on kids playing basketball
"A few 100 dollars"
It’s been 6 years we need an update on these kids
Shaq lives matter
*This IS what kids should be doing! Who calls the cops on kids playing?!?*

we need more of the positive cop interactions on the news. unfortunately, society loves talking about bad things with cops
