This trip was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary which is coming up soon. We had the best time and can't believe it just flew past. I have so much Japan content coming up! Besides showing you all the delicious food and beautiful sights, Japan is vintage designer heaven!
In this series, I'm going to show you heaps of vintage designer stores and I also go through pricing. It's a great time to buy preloved in Japan as the yen is weaker so there are plenty of amazing deals to be found! Love the vintage shopping in Japan! Interesting to see the prices. I did find when we went a pre COVID that the preloved stores in Shinjuku were much cheaper than the stores in Ginza. You did see more Hermes and some of the extremely rare and expensive items in Ginza but the prices were definitely higher overall even for more common items. We found some great bargains in Shinjuku and surrounds.
Clickie bezel is so aesthetically pleasing. Black watch faces are definitely preferable. White is too stark. ❤

Many vintage bags seemed quite overpriced. Personally, I'd rather buy it straight from the boutique if the cost is similar or more than the cost of a new one. While some vintage bags may be gold plated (ie Chanel ), for me, it doesn't make sense to spend so much on a pre-loved bag. They're all in great condition though. Thanks for taking the time to show us everything and happy anniversary! 😊
I found the stores in Ginza much much more expensive than the stores in Shinjuku. Granted it’s been awhile since I was there but we definitely noticed the difference. We bought all our preloved in Shinjuku and surrounds.

thank you for taking us on your trip and also showing prices for the preloved items. Other RUclipsrs make it seem like it’s a haven for cheap (inexpensive) pre loved items. I guess there is a price to pay to be able to buy items that you can be assured that they are authentic.

Something I found weird looking at the lower end vintage shops in Japan is they price Outlet pieces the same as retail

A friend of mine is going to Japan the beginning of October…I wish I could go with her,it’s one of my biggest wishes and dreams.I will have to save up for it and I would have to know that my sick son (42 years old,father of two and in a nursing home😢)would be okay for a while without me. I go 3 times a week for 6-7 hours each time to help him. He just move to another home and I am hoping that this one will be better than the others he was in.Fingers crossed 🤞🏻.😊

I shopped Brandoff online years ago. Haven’t shopped them in awhile. They have definitely gone up since I first started shopping them.
Yes unfortunately the preloved stores have brought the prices up ever since the yen dropped and all the tourists flocked in for shopping, Japan no longer a good place to hunt for massive discounted pieces, but occasionally you do find some gems laying around!
